The livestock sector is a vital component of India's agricultural economy,providing essential support to rural communities and ensuring food *** reproductive performance is critical to sustaining livestock productivity,yet age-related declines in both male and female fertility pose significant *** current review highlights that male reproductive efficiency is closely tied to semen quality,which deteriorates with age due to oxidative stress,leading to reduced fertilizing capacity and embryonic developmental ***,female reproductive longevity is predominantly influenced by ovarian health,which declines with age due to diminished oocyte quality and *** decline is exacerbated by oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction,leading to reproductive senescence and reduced offspring *** the mechanisms of reproductive aging and developing strategies to mitigate its effects are crucial for enhancing livestock productivity and sustaining the agrarian economy.

Lattice thermal conductivity(LTC)of cadmium arsenide(Cd_(3)As_(2))is studied over a wide temperature range(1–400 K)by employing the Callaway *** acoustic phonons are considered to be the major carriers of heat and to be scattered by the sample boundaries,disorder,impurities,and other phonons via both Umklapp and normal phonon *** calculations of LTC of Cd_(3)As_(2)bring out the relative importance of the scattering *** systematic analysis of recent experimental data on thermal conductivity(TC)of Cd_(3)As_(2)samples of different groups,presented in terms of LTC,κL,using a nonlinear regression method,reveals good fits to the TC data of the samples considered for Tnd suggests a value of 0.2 for the Gruneisen *** is,however,found that for T>100 K the inclusion of the electronic component of TC,κe,incorporating contributions from relevant electron scattering mechanisms,is needed to obtain good agreement with the TC data over the wide temperature *** detailed investigations of TC of Cd_(3)As_(2)are required to better understand its suitability in thermoelectric and thermal management devices.

Objective:To evaluate antidiabetic activity of chloroform extracts of Acacia arabica bark, Benincasa hispida fruit,Tinispora cordifolia stem,Ocimum sanctum areal parts and Jatropha curcus ***:The chloroform extracts of Acacia arabica bark,Benincasa hispida fruit,Tinospora cordifolia stem,aerial part of Ocimum sanctum and Jatropha curcus leaves were evaluated at different doses(250 and 500 mg/kg body weight.) for antidiabetic potentials in alloxan induced diabetic albino *** extracts were administered for two weeks in different groups whereas tolbutamide(80 mg/kg body weight) was used as reference standard throughout ***:The result of present study showed test compounds significantly decreases elevated level of serum glucose and also caused to reverse the cholesterol,triglyceride,HDL and LDL values when compared to untreated diabetic ***:Our finding indicates that different test extracts were able to ameliorate the derangements in lipid metabolism caused by diabetes mellitus in alloxan induced diabetic rats towards normal level.

We study the non-spherical gravitational collapse of the strange quark null fluid. The interesting feature which emerges is that the non-spherical collapse of charged strange quark matter leads to a naked singularity whereas the gravitational collapse of neutral quark matter proceeds to form a black hole. We extend the earlier work of Harko and Cheng [Phys. Lett. A 266 （2000） 249] to the non-spherical case.

Load shedding is a significant problem in rural *** a power outage,the cabin temperature of a refrigerator increases owing to the heat *** practice,a door should be opened to load and unload refrigerator products,particularly when the power failure period is *** use of a phase-change material(PCM)in the refrigerator cabin restricts the increase in temperature and provides a backup time that reduces energy ***-opening tests are essential during a power cut-off time to investigate the reduction in backup time owing to door *** article presents an experimental investigation on the influence of PCM masses of potassium chloride,sodium chloride,and sodium fluoride dissolved in water on the backup time and equivalent energy consumption of a domestic refrigerator for closed and open doors according to the standards IS 1476 and IEC 62552:*** backup time of closed-door tests was significantly increased by the PCM for all masses,i.e.,between 15 and 200 min in absolute terms and between 14%and 182%in relative *** backup time for the closed-door tests was 1.8-1.03 times longer than that for the door-opening *** backup time of door-opening tests decreased significantly owing to heat entering the cabin for all masses,i.e.,between 50 and 10 min in absolute terms and between 45.45%and 3.23%in relative *** equivalent energy consumption of a refrigerator decreased with an increase in PCM *** the door-opening tests,the equivalent energy consumption increased owing to door *** equivalent energy consumption for the door-opening tests was 1.12-1.02 times larger than that for the closed-door tests.

We investigate the possibility of cosmic censorship violation in the gravitational collapse of radiating dyon solution. It is shown that the final outcome of the collapse depends sensitively on the electric and magnetic charge parameters. The graphs of the outer apparent horizon, inner Cauchy horizon for different values of parameters are drawn. It is found that the electric and magnetic components push the apparent horizon towards the retarded time-coordinate axis, which in turn reduces the radius of the apparent horizon in Valdya spacetime. Also, we extend the earlier work of Chamorro and Virbhadra [Pramana, J. Phys. 45 （1995） 181].

Emissions from the internal combustion engine(ICE) vehicles are one of the primary cause of air pollution and climate change. In recent years, electric vehicles(EVs) are becoming a more sensible alternative to these ICE vehicles. With the recent breakthroughs in battery technology and large-scale production, EVs are becoming cheaper. In the near future,mass deployment of EVs will put severe stress on the existing electrical power system(EPS). Optimal scheduling of EVs can reduce the stress on the existing network while accommodating large-scale integration of EVs. The integration of these EVs can provide several economic benefits to different players in the energy market. In this paper, recent works related to the integration of EV with EPS are classified based on their relevance to different players in the electricity market. This classification refers to four players: generation company(GEnCO), distribution system operator(DSO), EV aggregator, and end user. Further classification is done based on scheduling or charging strategies used for the grid integration of EVs. This paper provides a comprehensive review of technical challenges in the grid integration of EVs along with their solution based on optimal scheduling and controlled charging strategies.
