Soil Properties and Wheat growth and Nutrients as Affected by Compost Amendment Under Saline Water Irrigation

A greenhouse experiment was conducted to test and compare the suitability of saline compost and saline irrigation water for nutrient status amendment of a slightly productive sandy clay loam soil,to study the macronutrient utilization and dry matter production of wheat(Triticum aestivum *** 7) grown in a modified soil environment and to determine the effects of compost and saline irrigation water on soil *** sandy clay loam soil was treated with compost of five rates(0,24,36,48,and 60 m 3 ha-1,equivalent to 0,3,4.5,and 6 g kg-1 soil,respectively) and irrigation water of four salinity levels(0.50(tap water),4.9,6.3,and 8.7 dS m-1).The results indicated that at harvest,the electrical conductivity(EC) of the soil was significantly(P ged by the compost application as compared to the *** general,the soil salinity significantly increased with increasing.a.plication rates of *** salts,K,Cl,HCO 3,Na,Ca,and Mg,were significantly increased by the compost *** sodium adsorption ratio(SAR) was significantly affected by the salinity levels of the irrigation water,and showed a slight response to the compost *** soil organic carbon content was also significantly(P g kg-1 recorded at the compost rate of 60 m 3 ha-1 and the irrigation water salinity level of 8.7 dS m-1 and a minimum value of 12.05 g kg 1 observed in the *** compost application produced remarkable increases in wheat shoot dry matter *** maximum dry matter production(75.11 g pot-1) occurred with 60 m 3 ha-1 compost and normal irrigation water,with a minimum of 19.83 g pot-1 with no addition of compost and irrigation water at a salinity level of 8.70 dS *** increases in wheat shoot contents of K,N,P,Na,and Cl were observed with addition of *** relatively high shoot N values may be attributed to increases in N availability in the tested

Laminar MHD natural convection of nanofluid containing gyrotactic microorganisms over vertical wavy surface saturated non-Darcian porous media

Magnetohydrodynamic （MHD） bioconvection of an incompressible electrically conducting nanofluid near a vertical wavy surface saturated porous medium containing both nanoparticle and gyrotactic microorganisms is investigated. The nanofluid is represented by a model that includes both Brownian motion and thermophoresis effects. A suitable set of non-dimensional variables are used to transform the governing boundary layer equations into a dimensionless form. The resulting nonlinear system is mapped to the vertical flat plate domain, and a non-similar solution is used to the obtained equations. The obtained non-similar system is then solved numerically using the fourth-order Runge-Kutta method. The influence of various physical parameters on the local Nusselt number, the local Sherwood number, the local density number of the motile microorganisms, the dimensionless velocity, the dimensionless temperature, and the rescaled density of motile microorganisms is studied. It is found that the local Nusselt number, the local Sherwood number, and the local density number of the motile microorganisms decrease by increasing either the g.a.hof number or the magnetic field parameter.

Using Syntactic-Based Kernels for Classifying Temporal Relations

Temporal relation classification is one of contemporary demanding tasks of natural lang.a.e processing. This task can be used in various applications such as question answering, summarization, and lang.a.e specific information retrieval. In this paper, we propose an improved algorithm for classifying temporal relations, between events or between events and time, using support vector machines （SVM）. Along with gold-standard corpus features, the proposed method aims at exploiting some useful automatically generated syntactic features to improve the accuracy of classification. Accordingly, a number of novel kernel functions are introduced and evaluated. Our evaluations clearly demonstrate that adding syntactic features results in a considerable improvement over the state-of-the-art method of classifying temporal relations.

Design of multi-antenna relaying for OFDM in impulsive noise environment

A low-complexity multi-antenna relaying scheme is proposed for Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) in the presence of Class-A Impulsive Noise (IN). One way and two way relaying.a.e considered. The sig.a. is transmitted and received by two terminal nodes, each with a single antenna in two time phases. In the proposed design, the processing.a. the relay consists of Maximal-Ratio Combining (MRC) or Power-based Selection Combining (PSC) for receive combining, Amplify and Forward (AF) for power scaling, and Space Time Block Coding (STBC) for transmit diversity. Channel State Information (CSI), Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT), and Inverse Discrete Fourier Transform (IDFT) are not needed. The Selective Mapping (SLM) technique is used at the transmitter to reduce the Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) of the OFDM sig.a.. Then, at the receiver, the clipping technique is used to reduce the impulses that result from the impulsive noise. The proposed system reduces the complexity of the conventional system, which uses multi-relay with a single antenna. Simulation results show that the Bit Error Rate (BER) of the proposed scheme outperforms that of the conventional scheme due to the diversity inherent in the proposed scheme.

On chip chiral and plasmonic hybrid dimer or tetramer:generic way to reverse longitudinal and lateral optical binding forces

For both the longitudinal binding force and the lateral binding force,a generic way of controlling the mutual attraction and repulsion(usually referred to as reversal of optical binding force)between chiral and plasmonic hybrid dimers or tetramers has not been reported so *** this paper,by using.a.simple plane wave and an onchip configuration,we propose a possible generic way to control the binding force for such hybrid objects in both the near-field region and the far-field *** also investigate different inter-particle distances while varying the wavelengths of light for each inter-particle distance throughout the *** of all,for the case of longitudinal binding force,we find that chiral-plasmonic hybrid dimer pairs do not exhibit any reversal of optical binding force in the near-field region nor in the far-field region when the wavelength of light is varied in an air ***,when the same hybrid system of nanoparticles is placed over a plasmonic substrate,a possible chip,it is possible to achieve a reversal of the longitudinal optical binding ***,for the case of lateral optical binding force,we investigate a setup where we place the chiral and plasmonic tetramers on a plasmonic substrate by using two chiral nanoparticles and two plasmonic nanoparticles,with the setup illuminated by a circularly polarized plane *** applying the left-handed and the right-handed circular polarization state of light,we also observe the near-field and the far-field reversal of lateral optical binding force for both *** far as we know,so far,no work has been reported in the literature on the generic way of reversing the longitudinal optical binding force and the lateral optical binding force of such hybrid *** a generic way of controlling optical binding forces can have important applications in different fields of science and technology in the near future.

The development of mathematical modeling of infectious diseases is a key research area in various elds including ecology and *** aim of these models is to understand the dynamics of behavior in infectious *** the new strain of coronavirus(COVID-19),there is no vaccine to protect people and to prevent its spread so ***,control strategies associated with health care,such as social distancing,quarantine,travel restrictions,can be adopted to control the pandemic of *** article sheds light on the dynamical behaviors of nonlinear COVID-19 models based on two methods:the homotopy perturbation method(HPM)and the modied reduced differential transform method(MRDTM).We invoke a novel sig.a. ow g.a.h that is used to describe the COVID-19 *** our mathematical studies,it is revealed that social distancing between potentially infected individuals who are carrying the virus and healthy individuals can decrease or interrupt the spread of the *** numerical simulation results are in reasonable agreement with the study *** free equilibrium and stability point for the COVID-19 model are ***,the existence of a uniformly stable solution is proved.
