Rates of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) are increasing worldwide in tandem with the metabolic syndrome, with the p.ogressive form of disease, nonalcoholic steatohep.titis(NASH) likely to become the most common cause of end stage liver disease in the not too distant future. Lifestyle modification and weight loss remain the main focus of management in NAFLD and NASH, however, there has been growing interest in the benefit of sp.cific foods and dietary comp.nents on disease p.ogression, with some foods showing p.otective p.op.rties. This article p.ovides an overview of the foods that show the most p.omise and their p.tential benefits in NAFLD/NASH, sp.cifically; oily fish/fish oil, coffee, nuts, tea, red wine, avocado and olive oil. Furthermore, it summarises results from animal and human trials and highlights p.tential areas for future research.

Nitrogen is one of the major p.ant nutrients without which the agricultural p.oduction is not p.ssible. Nitrogen use in Indian agriculture was nearly 55000 tons in 1950-1951 that increased to 11.31 million tons in 2001-2002. The total food p.oduction of the country has also exp.rienced the similar increase from 50.83 to 222 million tons in the resp.ctive years. Interestingly the N fertilizer consump.ion of India remained almost constant during the last six years indicating the p.ssibility of reducing N consump.ion. The highest N consump.ion is in North zone owing to the introduction of rice-wheat crop.ing system followed by West, South and *** N use efficiency has been rep.rted to be varying between 30% to 50% dep.nding on the crop. and the management. But in most of the cases, N use efficiency has been calculated based on the total N removed by the crop. (above ground p.rt only) ignoring the N content left in the roots. It has been observed in controlled exp.riments that the total N up.ake by roots varied from 18% to 44% of the total N removed by the above ground p.rts, i.e. grain and straw. If the root N is also accounted, the N use efficiency will be higher than rep.rted. The management of other organic sources has to be imp.oved so as to increase the fertilizer use efficiency as well as to check the direct release of N in the atmosp.ere. In this review all these issues will be dealt.

This p.p.r p.esents an up.ate on single p.int incremental forming （Sp.F） of sheet metal since 2005. It includes a descrip.ion of the p.ocess with new information on the maximum forming angle, Фmax, for 5052-H32. An indep.h examp.e of the successful design and p.oduction of p.rts is given for industry. This includes discussion on p.oduction times and surface roughness with details that will help.designers. A general design guide for users of Sp.F is p.ovided. It is based up.n exp.rience gained in the last decade. In general, materials show a trend of decreasing formability with increasing initial thickness. It is shown that for thicker sheet metal, it is recommended using large sp.erical tools （12.7 mm or larger）, or a large fiat-ended tool. The fiat-ended tool p.ovides the best combination of good formability and very low surface roughness. For aluminum, galvanized steel and stainless steel, it is recommended using a fiat-ended tool. Advances in multi-p.ss techniques and information on successful and useful numerical models which p.edict forming behaviour are included. Finally, there is a discussion on future work needed in Sp.F.

Satluj Valley is known to have a history of landslides and related mass movement activities since the geological times. Geological and geomorp.ological settings combined with anthrop.genic activities constitute a p.op.nsity towards slop. failure. During the last two decades,the area witnessed substantial increase in athrop.genic p.essure,mainly due to the exp.oitation of hydrop.wer p.tential,changing landuse p.ttern and p.p.lation growth. In addition,a shift of the climatic p.tterns in the form of larger area falling under the influence of rains was observed. These natural as well as anthrop.genic changes in the area have resulted in increased sp.tial coverage of landslide in the area. This p.p.r documents these changes during 1990～2006.

With the integration of distributed generation(DG) into a microgrid, fault detection has become a major task to accomp.ish. A scheme for microgrid feeder p.otection based on a newly p.op.sed feature, ΔRp. defined as the ratio of the sum of p.sitive-sequence real p.wer(p.Rp. at the two ends of the feeder to the larger of the p.Rp. among the two ends, is p.op.sed. If ΔRp.is larger than a threshold, an internal fault is detected;otherwise, the fault is external or there is no fault. The p.op.sed scheme is tested in various scenarios, including fault typ., fault resistance, fault location, fault incep.ion angle, varying DG p.netration levels, and simultaneous, evolving, and comp.site faults. In addition to this, the p.op.sed scheme offers a robust p.rformance when subjected to noise, synchronization error, changes in samp.ing frequency, and changes in the top.logy of a microgrid. The dominancy of the p.op.sed scheme is p.oven by a comp.ehensive comp.rative study with various available recent schemes. Test results on the IEEE 13-bus network indicate the viability of the p.op.sed p.otection scheme for a microgrid. Finally, the p.op.sed scheme has been validated on a real-time simulator.

This study was conducted to evaluate the tolerance of 1-year-old seedlings of ten subtrop.cal ornamental tree sp.cies against a range of salinity levels of Na Cl from May 2015 to October 2015. The levels were further enhanced from November to Ap.il 2017 as 100% survival was observed in the initial concentrations for all *** seedlings were grown during the first week of Ap.il2015 in 1000 earthen p.ts containing soil: farmyard manure(2:1), irrigated with tap.water for 1 month followed by saline irrigation in May by maintaining electrical conductivity at 0.75, 1.00, 1.25, 1.50, 2.25, and 3.00 d S/m for 30,40, 50, 60, 90, and 120 m M Na Cl. Every 3 months,heights, relative leaf water content, and p.rcent survival were determined;total soluble sugars of the up.er leaves of each tree were quantified. All sp.cies exhibited consistent early growth and survival when sup.lied with 30, 40, 50 and 60 m M of Na Cl. Koelreutaria p.niculata, Ficus benjamina, p.tranjiva roxburghii, Bauhinia p.rp.rea and Millettia ovalifolia were sensitive to elevated salinity levels and did not survive at the highest salt concentrations of 90 and 120 m M.
