The pathophysiology of irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)is not completely ***,several factors are known to play a role in pathophysiology of IBS such as genetics,diet,gut microbiota,gut endocrine cells,stress and low-grade *** the pathophysiology of IBS may open the way for new treatment *** density of intestinal stem cells and low differentiation toward enteroendocrine cells has been reported recently in patients with *** abnormalities are believed to be the cause of the low density of enteroendocrine cells seen in patients with *** cells regulate gastrointestinal motility,secretion,absorption and visceral *** dysmotility,abnormal absorption/secretion and visceral hypersensitivity are all seen in patients with IBS and haven been attributed to the low density the intestinal enteroendocrine cells in these *** present review conducted a literature search in medline(Pub med)covering the last ten years until November 2019,where articles in English were *** about the intestinal stem cells and their possible role in the pathophysiology of IBS are discussed in the present *** present review discusses the assumption that intestinal stem cells play a central role in the pathophysiology of IBS and that the other factors known to contribute to the pathophysiology of IBS such as genetics,diet gut microbiota,stress,and lowgrade inflammation exert their effects through affecting the intestinal stem *** reports further the data that support this assumption on genetics,diet,gut microbiota,stress with depletion of glutamine,and inflammation.

Some vinyl polymers/montmorillonite nanocomposites were prepared via in-situ-atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) in presence of clay. Methyl methacrylate, styrene and n-butyl methacrylate were involved in the formation of such polymeric nanocomposites. Their dielectric properties were extensively studied to invest them in the a.c. power applications. Several dielectric parameters such as dielectric constant loss (ε") and a.c. conductivity (σ) were measured at both different frequencies (0.1 hz to 100 Khz) and temperature ranged from (20℃ to 90℃). From the dielectric results, it was realized that the dielectric a.c. conductivity was enhanced by increasing the temperature for the four prepared polymer nanocomposites.

Passively Q-switched thulium doped fiber laser(TDFL)has been successfully demonstrated using gold nanoparticles(GNPs),which were embedded into polyvinyl alcohol as saturable absorber(SA).The stable self-starting Q-switched laser was generated to operate at 1891 nm when a tiny piece of the prepared film was slot in between two fiber ferrules and incorporated into the laser *** repetition rate can be adjusted from 48.54 khz to 49.64 khz while the pulse width decreased from 3.52μs to 2.38μs with the increase of 1550 nm pump power from 840 m W to 930 m *** corresponding pump power output power linearly increased from 3.62 m W to 6.3 m W with a slope efficiency of 2.53%.The maximum peak power and pulse energy were recorded at about 39 m W and 0.12μJ,respectively at pump power of 930 m *** Q-switching operation was caused by the surface plasmon resonance absorption of GNPs.

This article reports the effect of ageing on the microstructure, martensitic transformation, magnetic properties, and mechanical properties of Ni51FelsGa27Ti4 shape memory alloy. There are five specimens of this alloy aged at 573 up to 973 K for 3 h per each. This range of ageing temperature greatly affects the microstructure of the alloy. As the ageing temperature increased from 573 up to 973 K, the microstructure of Ni51FelsGa27Ti4 alloy gradually changed from the entirely martensitic matrix at 573 K to the fully austenitic microstructure at 973 K. The volume fraction of precipi- tated Ni3Ti particles increased with the ageing temperature increasing from 573 to 773 K. Further increasing the ageing temperature to 973 K decreased the content of Ni3Ti in the microstructure. The martensitic transformation tempera- ture was decreased steadily by increasing the ageing temperature. The magnetization saturation, remnant magnetization, and coercivity increased with the ageing temperature increasing up to 773 K. A further increase in ageing temperature decreased these raagnetic properties. Moreover, the hardness values were gradually increased at first by increasing the ageing temperature to 773 K, and then dramatically decreased to the lowest value at 973 K.

Vanadium pentoxide film for microsecond pulse generation in 1.5-μm region

Q-switched erbium doped fiber laser(EDFL)was passively realized using vanadium pentoxide(V_(2)O_(5))embedded into polyethylene glycol(PEG)film as saturable absorber(SA).The laser could successfully generate stable self-starting pulses when the V_(2)O_(5)film was placed in an EDFL *** operated at 1562.4 nm *** repetition rate can be varied from 91.7 khz to 128.2 khz while the pulse width shrank from 10.90μs to 7.81μs with rising pump power from 110.9 mW to 166.5 *** pulse energy recorded was 3.2 nJ at pump power of 166.5 *** results indicate that the saturable absorption of V_(2)O_(5)has promising nonlinear photonic applications especially in fiber laser development for 1.5-μm region.

hyperbranched poly(amine-ester) (hBPAE) was synthesized via pseudo-one-step process between trimethylolpropane as a core molecule and N, N-diethylol-3-amine methylpropionate as the AB2 branched monomer. The prepared polymer was analyzed by IR, GPC, 1h-NMR and thermal analysis (TGA and DSC). The performance of the polymer in cement was tested by measuring the effect of 1, 3 and 5 wt% of hBPAE solutions on the properties of Ordinary Portland Cement. Water of consistency, setting times, bulk density, apparent porosity, compressive strength and combined water content of the polymer/cement pastes were studied. The results showed that water of consistency and apparent porosity decreased while setting times, compressive strength, combined water and bulk density increased with the polymer addition.
