strigolactones （sLs） constitute a new class of plant hormones which are active as germination stimulants for seeds of parasitic weeds of striga, Orobanche, and Pelipanchi spp, in hyphal branching of arbuscular mycorrhizal （AM） fungi and as inhibitors of shoot branching. In this review, the focus is on molecular features of these sLs. The occurrence of sLs in root exudates of host plants is described. The naming protocol for sL according to the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry （IUPAC） rules and the ＇at a glance＇ method is explained. The total synthesis of some natural sLs is described with details for all eight stereoisomers of strigol. The problems encountered with assign- ing the correct structure of natural sLs are analyzed for orobanchol, alectrol, and solanacol. The structure-activity relationship of sLs as germination stimulants leads to the identification of the bioactiphore of sLs. Together with a tentative mechanism for the mode of action, a model has been derived that can be used to design and prepare active sL analogs. This working model has been used for the preparation of a series of new sL analogs such as Nijmegen-1, and analogs derived from simple ketones, keto enols, and saccharine. The serendipitous finding of sL mimics which are derived from the D-ring in sLs （appropriately substituted butenolides） is reported. For sL mimics, a mode of action is proposed as well. Recent new results support this proposal. The stability of sLs and sL analogs towards hydrolysis is described and some details of the mechanism of hydrolysis are discussed as well. The attempted isolation of the protein receptor for germination and the current status concerning the biosynthesis of natural sLs are briefly discussed. some non-sLs as germinating agents are mentioned. Wheat is one of the most important cereals in the world, serving as a staple for millions globally. In the wake of the geopolitical crisis between Russia and Ukraine, it has become incumbent for many countries to invest in wheat production. Improving cropping systems for wheat production is paramount. Intercropping cereals with legumes has tremendous advantages. Therefore, this study was designed to optimize wheat production by intercropping it with soybean at different densities. Between March and August 2023, a randomized complete block design trial was conducted in Bambili, North West of Cameroon with treatments T1 (wheat monocrop at 200,000 plants hasup>−sup>sup>1sup>), T2 (soybean monocrop at 250,000 plants hasup>−sup>sup>1sup>), T3 (200,000 wheat and 125,000 soybean hasup>−sup>sup>1sup>), T4 (100,000 wheat and 250,000 soybean hasup>−sup>sup>1sup>), T5 (200,000 wheat and 250,000 soybean hasup>−sup>sup>1sup>) and T6 (100,000 wheat and 125,000 soybean hasup>−sup>sup>1sup>). Results revealed that growth parameters of wheat were not significantly influenced by monocrop or intercrop. The yield of wheat was significantly higher in the monocrop than the intercrop treatments, with slight variation amongst the intercrop treatments. soybean yield was higher in the monocrop than in the intercrop, with no variations amongst the intercrop treatments. Only the land equivalence ratio (LER) for T5 was greater than 1.0. The competitive ratio for T5 was 0.54 for wheat and 1.90 for soybean, comparatively lower than the other monocrop treatments. Intercropping wheat and soybean at 200,000:250,000 ratio is recommended.

亚隔孢壳属Didymella真菌可引起多种植物病害，造成作物产量损失。该属病原菌引起的植物病害症状通常表现为叶部和茎部的病斑并产生分生孢子器。亚隔孢壳属在分类学上和茎点霉属Phoma及其相关属有着密切的联系，其作为一个多系类群，同时还包含部分未鉴定的种。文中从亚隔孢壳属的建立、分类学的发展、分子系统学研究进展、病原菌快速检测方法，以及亚隔孢壳属引起病害的综合防治研究等方面进行综述。根据已发表的84个亚隔孢壳属物种构建系统发育树表明各物种间的亲缘关系，并概述了上述亚隔孢壳属物种的分类地位变化，为系统研究亚隔孢壳属的多样性提供参考，并对今后的研究方向进行初步探讨。

Multispecies coalescent(MsC) is the extension of the single-population coalescent model to multiple species. It integrates the phylogenetic process of species divergences and the population genetic process of coalescent, and provides a powerful framework for a number of inference problems using genomic sequence data from multiple species, including estimation of species divergence times and population sizes,estimation of species trees accommodating discordant gene trees, inference of cross-species gene flow and species delimitation. In this review, we introduce the major features of the MsC model, discuss full-likelihood and heuristic methods of species tree estimation and summarize recent methodological advances in inference of cross-species gene flow. We discuss the statistical and computational challenges in the field and research directions where breakthroughs may be likely in the next few years.

Grouping nodes gives better performance to the whole network by diminishing the average network delay and avoiding unnecessary message forwarding and additional overhead. Many routing protocols for ad-hoc and sensor networks have been designed but none of them are based on groups. In this paper, we will start defining group-based topologies, and then we will show how some wireless ad hoc sensor networks （WAHsN） routing protocols perform when the nodes are arranged in groups. In our proposal connections between groups are established as a function of the proximity of the nodes and the neighbor＇s available capacity （based on the node＇s energy）. We describe the architecture proposal, the messages that are needed for the proper operation and its mathematical description. We have also simulated how much time is needed to propagate information between groups. Finally, we will show a comparison with other architectures.
