Accuracy of non-invasive liver stiffness measurement and steatosis quantification in patients with severe and morbid obesity

Background:Vibration controlled transient elastography(VCTE)and controlled attenuation parameter(CAP™)have shown reliable performance predicting fibrosis and steatosis in normal-to overweight patients but have not been validated in severe to morbid *** study aimed at determining the accuracy of VCTE,CAP™and the composite score FibroScan-AST(FAST)in patients with a body mass index(BMI)of≥35 kg/m^(2).Methods:Patients scheduled for bariatric-metabolic surgery underwent preoperative VCTE/CAP™measurement,and intraoperative liver *** feasibility and accuracy of VCTE,CAP™and the composite score FAST were retrospectively analysed to evaluate fibrosis,steatosis and active fibrotic non-alcoholic steatohepatitis[NASH+non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)activity score≥4+fibrosis grade≥2]using per protocol(PP)and intent to diagnose(ITD)***:In total,170 patients(median BMI 44.4 kg/m²)were included in the *** biopsy showed NASH,simple steatosis,and normal livers in 60.6%(n=103),28.8%(n=49),and 10.6%(n=18),*** and CAP™delivered reliable results in 90.6%(n=154/170)and 90.5%(n=134/148).The AUC(PP)of VCTE,CAP™,and FAST were 0.687(≥F2),0.786(≥F3),0.703(≥S2),0.738(S3),and 0.780(active fibrotic NASH).The AUC increased to 0.742(≥F2),0.842(≥F3),0.712(≥S2),0.780(S3),and 0.836(active fibrotic NASH)in patients below the median BMI of 44.4 kg/m².Conclusions:VCTE,CAP™and FAST show acceptable accuracy for the detection of fibrosis,steatosis and NASH in a real-life cohort of patients with *** improves in patients with a BMI<44.4 kg/m^(2).

Infected hosts from Diptera develop one or two abdominal holes, from which conidia are discharged while the host is still alive. The genus consists of two recognized species, S. castrans and S. magna, infecting Anthomyiid and Fanniid flies, respectively. Recently, it has been documented that natural infections of Strongwellsea do also occur in other dipteran families, for example Muscidae and Scatophagidae. In Denmark,the weevils Strophosoma melanogrammum and *** cause economic damage in Noble fir due to the adult stage feeding on the *** chemical treatments of these weevils are allowed in Denmark,so biological control is an attractive *** evaluated the potential for microbial control of larvae of Strophosoma *** on laboratory bioassays and field applications,taking effect on both target and non-target into consideration,as well as persistence of the applied *** the laboratory Beauveria bassiana,Paecilomyces farinosus and Metarhizium anisopliae were able to infect and cause mycosis in Strophosoma *** the tested isolates the most virulent isolate was *** BIPESCO 5,which resulted in 80 % *** the field experiment ***,isolate BIPESCO 5,was applied to the soil as a conidial suspension against larvae of Strophosoma *** effect of the fungus on the target population was monitored at a weekly basis by counts of emerging adult weevils during their activity *** population of Strophosoma *** reduced by up to 60% in treated plots compared to control *** non-target effects of *** were studied by sampling insects and ticks from both treated and control *** days after treatment,two sampled insect orders(Hemiptera and Coleoptera)and ticks were found with prevalences of *** above 50%,compared to no infection in the insects collected from control *** in coccinellids were found as long as 277 days after ***,the effect on population level of non-target is still *** persistence of the fungus was documented by plating a soil suspension onto *** documented that conidia of *** could persist in the greenery plantation for at least 418 days after application.

苏云金芽胞杆菌以色列亚种(*** ***,简称Bti)作为生物杀虫剂成功地用于蚊虫和蚋等多种双翅目昆虫的控制已有多年,在疟疾,登革热,黄热病和丝虫病等蚊媒疾病的控制上发挥了重要的作用。该菌株的高效杀蚊活性机理主要依赖于一个大约128kb的大质粒pBtoxis。目前科学家们已完成了pBtoxis全长 127,923-bp的全序列检测和毒素基因间协同作用的研究工作,并发现pBtoxis的毒性高于单个毒素基因的克隆产物或它们不同形式的组合。因而这个大质粒上的其他毒素成分或调控因子可能对Bti的整体功能起着重要的作用。

采用多重引物PCR进行了 45株苏云金芽胞杆菌、2株蜡状芽胞杆菌和 2株球形芽胞杆菌溶血素BL ,肠毒素T和entS基因的检测 ,结果表明 95 6%苏云金芽胞杆菌含溶血素hblA基因 ,91 1 %含bceT基因 ,93 3%含entS基因。用两种商业化肠毒素检测试... 详细信息

采用多重引物PCR进行了 45株苏云金芽胞杆菌、2株蜡状芽胞杆菌和 2株球形芽胞杆菌溶血素BL ,肠毒素T和entS基因的检测 ,结果表明 95 6%苏云金芽胞杆菌含溶血素hblA基因 ,91 1 %含bceT基因 ,93 3%含entS基因。用两种商业化肠毒素检测试剂盒TECRA和RPLA进行所有菌株肠毒素的体外免疫测定 ,大部分苏云金芽胞杆菌和阳性蜡状芽胞杆菌都能产生不同水平的肠毒素活性 ,同hblA基因PCR检测结果基本相符。尽管DBT0 0 7和T2 4 0 0 1含有hblA基因 ,但用TECRA却检测不到肠毒素 ;Dmu39菌株不含肠毒素基因 ,但用TECRA却检测出高的肠毒素活性。苏云金芽胞杆菌BDT2 4 8和球性芽孢杆菌不含肠毒素基因和肠毒素。
