Contact between mobile hosts and database servers presents many problems in theMobile Database System(MDS).It is harmed by a variety of causes,including handoff,inadequate capacity,frequent transaction updates,and repeated failures,both of which contribute to serious issues with the information system’s ***,error tolerance technicality allows devices to continue performing their functions in the event of a *** aim of this paper is to identify the optimal recovery approach from among the available state-of-the-art techniques in MDS by employing game *** of the presented recovery protocols are chosen and evaluated in order to determine the most critical factors affecting the recovery mechanism,such as the number of processes,the time required to deliver messages,and the number of messages logged-in ***,using the suggested payout matrix,the game theory strategy is adapted to choose the optimum recovery technique for the specified environmental *** NS2 simulatorwas used to carry out the tests and apply the chosen recovery *** experiments validate the proposed model’s usefulness in comparison to other methods.

Purpose:This study explores a nuanced understanding of tiger parenting by moving beyond cultural essentialist perspectives and an East(Chinese)-versus-West binary ***/Approach/Methods:The study draws on data from 80 parents in Hong Kong SAR,an example of a culturally-hybrid East Asian *** applied maximum variation sampling to recruit participants with diverse school choices encompassing different education levels,occupa-tions,social classes,and *** used semi-structured interviews to investigate parental beliefs,practices,and understandings of tiger ***:The findings suggest that tiger parenting is a cross-class and cross-culture phenomenon that would be more fruitfully analyzed by considering parental mindsets,educational structures,peer pressure,generational influences,cultural roots,class preferences,and global *** posit that tiger parenting and similar parenting practices are increasingly necessitated by fiercely competitive education systems,and becoming globalized across ethnic groups and social class ***/Value:This study contributes to the discussion on tiger parenting by highlighting previously understudied factors underpinning the *** argue that our analytical approach avoids the previous narrow and cultural essentialist understanding of tiger parenting,and advances the theoretical cogency of the concept.

Graphene has many advantageous properties,but its lack of an electronic band gap makes this two-dimensional material impractical for many nanoelectronic applications,for example,field-effect *** problem can be circumvented by opening up a confinement-induced gap,through the patterning of graphene into ribbons having widths of a few *** electronic properties of such ribbons depend on both their size and the crystallographic orientation of the ribbon ***,etching processes that are able to differentiate between the zigzag and armchair type edge terminations of graphene are highly sought *** this contribution we show that such an anisotropic,dry etching reaction is possible and we use it to obtain graphene ribbons with zigzag *** demonstrate that the starting positions for the carbon removal reaction can be tailored at will with precision.

Evaluation of patients with dry eye disease for conjunctival Chlamydia trachomatis and Ureaplasma urealyticum

AIM：To determine the possibility of the development of dry eye disease（DED） as a result of persistent infection with Chlamydia trachomatis and Ureaplasma urealyticum in the conjunctiva of ***： This study was conducted on 58 patients of age range 20-50 y,diagnosed with DED confirmed by Schirmer I test and tear breakup *** non-dry eye control group included 27 subjects of the same *** specimens were collected as conjunctival scrapings and swabs divided into three groups： the first used for bacterial culture,the second and third taken to detect Chlamydia trachomatis and Ureaplasma urealyticum by direct fluorescent antibody（DFA） assay and polymerase chain reaction（PCR） method. RESULTS： Chlamydia trachomatis was detected in 65.5% and 76% of DED patients by DFA and PCR methods *** urealyticum was found in 44.8% of DED infected patients using the PCR *** organisms were identified in only 37.9% of DED patients found to be *** subjects had a 22%detection rate of Chlamydia trachomatis by DFA assay versus a 7% detection rate by PCR; while Ureaplasma urealyticum was detected in 3.7% of the controls by PCR *** conjunctival culture revealed that gram positive microorganisms represented 75% of isolates with coagulase negative Staphylococci the most common（50%） followed by Staphylococcus aureus（20%）,whereas gram negative microorganisms occurred in 25% of cases,isolating Moraxella *** the most frequent organism. CONCLUSION： Our results tend to point out that Chlamydia trachomatis and Ureaplasma urealyticum were detected in a moderate percentage of patients with DED,and could be a fair possibility for its *** is more reliable in detecting Chlamydia trachomatis than DFA *** presence of isolated conjunctival bacterial microflora can be of some potential value.

Purpose: The evolution of the socio-cognitive structure of the field of knowledge management(KM) during the period 1986–2015 is described. Design/methodology/approach: Records retrieved from Web of Science were submitted to author co-citation analysis(ACA) following a longitudinal perspective as of the following time slices: 1986–1996, 1997–2006, and 2007–2015. The top 10% of most cited first authors by sub-periods were mapped in bibliometric networks in order to interpret the communities formed and their ***: KM is a homogeneous field as indicated by networks results. Nine classical authors are identified since they are highly co-cited in each sub-period, highlighting Ikujiro Nonaka as the most influential authors in the field. The most significant communities in KM are devoted to strategic management, KM foundations, organisational learning and behaviour, and organisational theories. Major trends in the evolution of the intellectual structure of KM evidence a technological influence in 1986–1996, a strategic influence in 1997–2006, and finally a sociological influence in 2007–*** limitations: Describing a field from a single database can offer biases in terms of output coverage. Likewise, the conference proceedings and books were not used and the analysis was only based on first authors. However, the results obtained can be very useful to understand the evolution of KM *** implications: These results might be useful for managers and academicians to understand the evolution of KM field and to(re)define research activities and organisational ***/value: The novelty of this paper lies in considering ACA as a bibliometric technique to study KM research. In addition, our investigation has a wider time coverage than earlier articles.

Lung infiltration is a non-communicable condition where materials with higher density than air exist inthe parenchyma tissue of the lungs. Lung infiltration can be hard to be detected in an X-ray scan even for aradiologist, especially at the early stages making it a leading cause of death. In response, several deeplearning approaches have been evolved to address this problem. This paper proposes the Slide-Detecttechnique which is a Deep Neural Networks (DNN) model based on Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs)that is trained to diagnose lung infiltration with Area Under Curve (AUC) up to 91.47%, accuracy of 93.85%and relatively low computational resources.

Punica granatum *** a medicinal plant from the Mediterranean,used for treating infectious and inflammatory *** leaves correspond to a non-edible part of the tree that is used for medicinal purposes but still,is a non-explored material for the development of technological food and pharmaceutics products although,it has therapeutic and bioactive *** on this,the current review was carried out by searching for scientific articles written in English,available on the“PubMed”and“ScienceDirect”databases and published in the last ten ***-nine articles were selected whose main study was the leaves of *** and its medicinal use,therapeutic activities,and technological *** its medicinal use,the *** leaves show antioxidant,anti-inflammatory,antimetabolic,anticancer,and antimicrobial *** potential is normally related to the presence of secondary metabolites,mainly phenolic compounds,tannins and their monomers(ellagic acid and gallic acid).Besides that,the lipophilic compounds present in the *** leaves prove to be important to some activities or contribute as support in the activity related to *** the ease of cultivation and adaptation of the species,combined with the potential availability of raw material,reinforces that the leaves of *** may play a relevant role as a source of bioactive compounds and can be exploited for the development of food and pharmaceutical products.

Atomic/nano-scale in-situ probing the shuttling effect of redox mediator in Na-O_(2) batteries

Sodium-oxygen batteries(Na-O_(2))have attracted extensive attention as promising energy storage systems due to their high energy density and low *** mediators are often employed to improve Na-O_(2) battery performance,however,their effect on the formation mechanism of the oxygen reduction product(NaO_(2))is still ***,we have investigated the formation mechanism of NaO_(2) during the discharge process in the presence of a redox mediator with the help of atomic/nano-scale in-situ characterization tools used in concert(*** force microscope,electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance(EQCM)and laser nano-particle analyzer).As a result,real-time observations on different time scales show that by shuttling electrons to the electrolyte,the redox mediator enables formation of NaO_(2) in the solution-phase instead of within a finite region near the electrode *** findings provide new fundamental insights on the understanding of Na-O_(2) batteries and new consequently perspectives on designing high performance metal-O_(2) batteries and other related functions.
