Repetitive DNA sequences are a m.jor com.onent of eukaryotic genom.s and m.y account for up to 90% of the genom. size. They can be divided into m.nisatellite, m.crosatellite and satellite sequences. Satellite DNA sequences are considered to be a liist-evolving com.onent of eukaryotic genom.s, com.rising tandem.y-arrayed, highly-repetitive and highly-conserved m.nom.r sequences. The m.nom.r unit of satellite DNA is 150m.0 base pairs （bp） in length. Repetitive sequences m.y be species- or genus-specific, and m.y be centrom.ric or subtelom.ric in nature. They exhibit cohesive and concerted evolution caused by m.lecular drive, leading to high sequence hom.geneity. Repetitive sequences accum.late variations in sequence and copy num.er during evolution, hence they are im.ortant tools for taxonom.c and phylogenetic studies, and are known as ＂tuning knobs＂ in the evolution. Therefore, knowledge of repetitive sequences assists our understanding of the organization, evolution and behavior of eukaryotic genom.s. Repetitive sequences have cytoplasm.c, cellular and developm.ntal effects and play a role in chrom.som.l recom.ination. In the post-genom.cs era, with the introduction of next-generation sequencing tech- nology, it is possible to evaluate com.lex genom.s for analyzing repetitive sequences and decipher- ing the yet unknown functional potential of repetitive sequences.

The study exam.nes the m.derating effects of financial perform.nce on the relationship between financial leverage （FL） and shareholders return （SR）. Panel data of pharm.ceutical com.anies listed in the National Stock Exchange （NSE） were used for 13 years for the period from.2002-03 to 2014-15. Findings indicated that FL is significantly related with SR. However, financial perform.nce has an insignificant relationship with SR and did not m.derate the relationship between FL and SR.

Energy levels, radiative rates, oscillator strengths and line strengths are reported for transitions am.ng the lowest 97 levels of the（1s22s22p6） 3s23p2, 3s23p3 d, 3s3p3, 3p4, 3s3p23 d, and 3s23d2 configurations of Rb XXIV. A m.lticonfiguration Dirac-Fock（m.DF） m.thod is adopted for the calculations. Radiative rates, oscillator strengths, and line strengths are provided for all electric dipole（E1）, m.gnetic dipole（m.）, electric quadrupole（E2）, and m.gnetic quadrupole（m.）transitions from.the ground level to all 97 levels, although calculations are perform.d for a m.ch larger num.er of *** achieve the accuracy of the data, com.arisons are provided with sim.lar data obtained from.the Flexible Atom.c Code（FAC） and also with the available theoretical and experim.ntal results. Our energy levels are found to be accurate to better than 1.2%. Wavelengths calculated are found to lie in EUV（extrem. ultraviolet） and x-ray regions. Additionally, lifetim.s for all 97 levels are obtained for the first tim..

Diatom. are unicellular plant algae which are found in alm.st all the waterbodies. Different diatom. respond differently to different environm.ntal changes, there existence depending on the environm.ntal factor of a particular place. A new diatom.type was discovered in the lake Rani of Jind District of Haryana for the first tim.. Jind is an im.ortant district lying in the north of Haryana state located 75。53' and 76。47' East longitudes and between 29。03’ and 29。51’ North latitudes. It has a beautiful lake nam.d as Rani Talab (Lake) which is fam.us for tourist visit and is located in the centre of the city. The pH of this water body ranges between 6.5 to 8.3, conductivity between 0.21 to 0.294 m.m.o?cm.1 with tem.erature ranging between 19.5℃ to 35℃ for two consecutive years 2008-2009 and 2009 - 2010. The newly discovered diatom.is the only diatom.which inhabits one particular Lake Rani of Haryana, it is not found elsewhere in India and any other database of diatom. generated so far in any other part of the world. The new genus was discovered by Vinayak V. et al in the process of creation of diatom.database from.Haryana State of India for the first tim.. The new genus was nam.d as Eunocym.ellarania vandana for its genus nam. derived from.Eunotia and Cym.ella and its close affinity to these two diatom. and its origin place ‘Lake Rani’, but the species nam. ‘vandana ‘ is from.Diatom.st

Objective: To evaluate the epidem.ology of candidiasis and the antifungal susceptibility profile of Candida species isolated from.the intensive care unit(ICU) ***: The study used a qualitative descriptive design. Relevant sam.les depending on organ system.involvem.nt from.100 ICU patients were collected and *** and speciation of the isolates was conducted by the biochem.cal *** susceptibility testing was carried out as per CLSI-m.7-A3 ***: Ninety Candida isolates were isolated from.the different clinical sam.les: urine(43.3%), tracheal aspirate(31.1%), urinary catheter(12.2%), endotracheal tube(7.8%),abdom.nal drains(3.3%), sputum.2.2%). The incidence of candidiasis caused by nonalbicans Candida(NAC) species(63.3%) was higher than Candida albicans(36.7%).The various NAC species were isolated as: Candida tropicalis(41.1%), Candida glabrata(10%), Candida parapsilosis(6.7%), Candida krusei(3.3%) and Candida kefyr(2.2%). The overall isolation rate of Candida species from.sam.les was 53.3%. Antifungal susceptibility indicated that 37.8% and 7.8% of the Candida isolates were resistant to fluconazole and am.hotericin B, ***: Predom.nance of NAC species in ICU patients along with the increasing resistance being recorded to fluconazole which has a m.jor bearing on the m.rbidity and m.nagem.nt of these patients and needs to be further worked upon.
