Dinamic of Bacteria desnitrificants and Nitrificants in the Rizospheric of Wheat with Slow Release of Fertilizer,Irrigated with Waste or Well Water

The study of the paper about the rhizosphere in the transformation of nitrogen compounds can generate knowledge of the microbial and biochemical atmosphere of the rhizosphere of wheat, for the understanding of the dynamics of the N in agricultural zones, with the purpose of optimizing the fertilizer use and increasing the productivity of the cultures. Therefore, the objective of the present work was to know the effect the rhizosphere in the dynamics of the bacterial populations that take part in the cycle of the N in wheat nourished with slow release fertilizer and one commercial, irrigated with waste water or well. Analyses in the soil took place vertisol used in the experiment with the rhizospheric and non rhizospheric fraction. The slow release fertilizer used has a matrix enriched with N and P and is in the process of being patented (it explains in materials and methods). Each fertilizer was evaluated and the combination of the slow release fertilizer with organic fertilizer. The technique of the number most probable was used (MNP) to carry out the quantification of the nitrificants and denitrificants bacteria to the 55, 67 and 97 days after sowing (Dds). The results obtained for the MNP of denitrificants bacteria and Nitrosomonas indicate that the effect average of the types of water, soil and fertilizers, as well as their interaction to each other was not significant (p > 0.05). The effect of the fertilizing type and soil (rhizospheric and non rhizospheric) in the MNP of Nitrobacter was significant (p dencies show that the non rhizospheric soil is more favorable for the development of denitrificants bacteria and Nitrobacter, whereas the MNP of Nitrosomonas was greater in rhizospheric soil.

Origin of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Cuba in the 19th Century from Its Main Exponents and Some Notable Medical descendants in the 20th Century

The Cuban people are made up of three major migratory currents, the Chinese are one of them. They brought their culture, the methods, and procedures of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) in the 19th century. Few were able to return and so they created families in Cuba;some of their descendants dedicated themselves to medicine. In order to investigate the practices that were predecessors of TCM in Cuba in the 19th century, a qualitative phenomenological research was carried out, reviewing what was published by various sources, applying documentary analysis, logical historical analysis, abstraction, synthesis, and systematization of the results on the regularities of the work and human behavior of Chinese doctors in the Cuban 19th and 20th centuries. This made it possible to identify six Chinese doctors in the 19th century in Cuba who gave rise to the beginning of some practices of TCM in Cuba, and five from the 20th century, descendants of coolies who dedicated themselves to other specialties of medicine. It was found that despite their geographical and time disperse, they were all notorious for their outstanding professional and human behavior, with a trail of accumulated successes in achieving “almost the impossible” with the patient. They have left their mark on Cuban culture.

A novel triple lines lateral-flow assay （LFA） with enhanced sensitivity for the detection of Leishmania infantum DNA in dog blood samples was designed and successfully applied. The enhanced LFA methodology takes advantage of the gold nanoparticle tags （AuNPs） conjugated to polyclonal secondary antibodies, which recognize anti-FITC antibodies. The polyclonal nature of the secondary antibodies allows for multiple binding to primary antibodies, leading to enhanced AuNP plasmonics signal. Furthermore, endogenous control consisting of the amplified dog 18S rRNA gene was introduced to avoid false negatives. Using this strategy, 0.038 spiked Leishmania parasites per DNA amplification reaction （1 parasite/100 μL of DNA sample） were detected. detection limit of LFA was found to be lower than that of the conventional techniques. In summary, our novel LFA design is a universal and simple sensing altemative that can be extended to several other biosensing scenarios.

Pancreatic adenocarcinoma(PDAC)is one of the most deadly cancers,characterized by extremely limited therapeutic options and a poor prognosis,as it is often diagnosed during late disease *** and selective treatments are urgently needed,since current therapies have limited efficacy and significant side *** proteomics analysis of extracellular vesicles,we discovered an imbalanced distribution of amino acids secreted by PDAC tumor *** findings revealed that PDAC cells preferentially excrete proteins with certain preferential amino acids,including isoleucine and histidine,via extracellular *** amino acids are associated with disease progression and can be targeted to elicit selective toxicity to PDAC tumor *** in vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrated that supplementation with these specific amino acids effectively eradicated PDAC ***,we also identified XRN1 as a potential target for these amino *** high selectivity of this treatment method allows for specific targeting of tumor metabolism with very low toxicity to normal ***,we found this treatment approach is easy-to-administer and with sustained tumor-killing ***,our findings reveal that exocytosed amino acids may serve as therapeutic targets for designing treatments of intractable PDAC and potentially offer alternative treatments for other types of cancers.

Background:Lung hypoplasia,pulmonary persistent hypertension of the newborn and its morphological changes are the main features in congenital diaphragmatic hernia(CDH).This study was undertaken to investigate if antenatal use of sildenafil and/or bosentan attenuates vascular remodeling,promotes branching,and improves alveolarization in experimental nitrofeninduced ***:Nitrofen(100 mg)was gavage-fed to pregnant rats at post conception day(PCD)9 to induce *** rats were randomized to 5 groups:1)control;2)nitrofen;3)nitrofen+sildenafil 100 mg/kg per day at PCD 16-20;4)nitrofen+bosentan 30 mg/kg per day,at PCD 16-20,and 5)nitrofen+bosentan+sildenafil,same doses and administration *** cesarean delivery,the offsprings were sacrifi *** diaphragmatic defect and pulmonary hypoplasia were identified,and the lungs were *** wall thickness,bronchiolar density and alveolarization were ***:The offsprings with CDH were characterized by severe pulmonary hypoplasia(lung weight-to-body weight ratio:0.0263[95%confidence interval(CI)0.0242-0.0278)]in the nitrofen group versus 0.0385(95%CI 0.0355-0.0424)in the control group(P=0.0001).Pulmonary arterial wall thickness was decreased to 3.0(95%CI 2.8-3.7)μm in the nitrofen+sildenafil group versus 5.0(95%CI 4.1-4.9)μm in the nitrofen group(P=0.02).Terminal bronchioles increased to 13.7(95%CI 10.7-15.2)μm in the nitrofen+bosentan group in contrast to 8.7(95%CI 7.2-9.4)μm in the nitrofen group(P=0.002).More significant differences(P=0.0001)were seen in terminal bronchioles in the nitrofen+sildenafil+bosentan group than in the nitrofen group[14.0(95%CI 12.5-15.4)μm versus 8.5(95%CI 7.1-9.3)μm].Pulmonary arterial wall thickness was also decreased in the former ***:In this rat model,antenatal treatment with sildenafil attenuates vascular *** promotes the development of terminal bronchioles in nitrofen-induced CDH.

Expression of triggering receptor on myeloid cell 1 and histocompatibility complex molecules in sepsis and major abdominal surgery

AIM： To evaluate the surface expression of triggering receptor on myeloid cell 1 （TREM-1）, class Ⅱ major histocompatibility complex molecules （Hla-DR）, and the expression of the splicing variant （svTREH-1） of TREM-1 in septic patients and those subjected to major abdominal surgery. METHODS： Using flow cytometry, we examined the surface expression of TREM-1 and Hla-DR in peripheral blood monocytes from 11 septic patients, 7 elective gastrointestinal surgical patients, and 10 healthy volunteers, svTREM-1 levels were analyzed by RT-PCR. RESULTS： Basal expression of TREM-1 and Hla- DR in healthy volunteers was 35.91±14.75 MFI and 75.8±18.3%, respectively. In septic patients, TREM-1 expression was 59.9±23.9 MFI and Hla-DR expression was 44.39±20.25%, with a significant difference between healthy and septic groups （P〈0.05） for both molecules. In the surgical patients, TREM-1 and Hla-DR expressions were 56.8±20.85 HFI and 71±13.8% before surgery and 72.65±29.92 MFI and 72.82±22.55% after surgery. TREM-1 expression was significantly different （P = 0.0087） between the samples before and after surgery and svTREM-1 expression was 0.8590± 0.1451 MF1, 0.8820±0.1460 MF1, and 2.210±0.7873 MF1 in the healthy, surgical （after surgery） and septic groups, respectively. There was a significant difference （P = 0.048） in svTREM-1 expression between the healthy and surgical groups and the septic group. CONCLUSION： TREM-1 expression is increased during systemic inflammatory conditions such as sepsis and the postoperative phase. Simultaneous low expression of Hla-DR molecules correlates with the severity of illness and increases susceptibility to infection. Additionally, TREM-1 expression is distinctly different in surgical patients at different stages of the inflammatory response before and after surgery. Thus, surface TREM-1 appears to be an endogenous signal during the course of the inflammatory response, svTREM-1 expression is significantly increased during sepsis, appearing to be a

Damaging Agents and Tree’s Health Condition in an Urban Forest

Urban trees are subjected to different damaging agents throughout their lifetime. The aims of this study were to identify tree damaging agents, and to obtain a Damage Severity Index (DSI) in order to categorize tree health condition at San Juan de Aragon Park. Each tree was identified at species level in 28 randomly established plots in ten sections of the study area. Up to two types of damage were recorded per tree, based on the FIA (Forest Inventory an Analysis Program) protocol, and a DSI was obtained for each damaged tree considering location of damage, nature of the damaging agent and severity. A total of 753 trees were assessed and 12 species and 27 damaging agents were identified. Cankers, galls, the pepper tree psyllid and the red gum lerp psyllid were the most frequent damaging agents. Australian pine, red gum, Mediterranean cypress, Mexican white cedar, and California pepper were the most affected species. The DSI ranged from 3 to 17 and the average was 7.9. Sections J and H and the species California pepper, Australian pine, and Mexican white cedar presented the highest DSI. The tree population had a moderate health condition, while the aforementioned sections and tree species showed the poorest.

In the immediate postpartum period, women need to be observed by the obstetric nurse so that measures can be taken to prevent hemorrhages and reduce its complications. Most maternal deaths from hemorrhage are preventable with support measures for clinical practice, such as: guiding protocols, training of professionals, organization and management of health services and provision of adequate conditions for the parturition process. Objective: To validate Rangel’s instrument with its application in the Maternity Ward of the General Hospital of Huambo, Angola. Methodology: This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. This is the sixth stage, called pre-test, of the Translation and Cultural Adaptation process. This instrument was sent for evaluation by the validators using the electronic data collection form named Google forms, with a seven-point Likert-type scale (from 7—totally agree to 1—totally disagree). The analysis was performed with the Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient index (>0.91) and the Content Validity Index (CVI > 0.98). Results: Of the 10 items of evaluation criteria of the instrument analyzed by the 20 validators, 100% of them obtained a Cronbach’s Alpha index rating of 0.91: clarity;coherence;scientific writing;relevance;sequence;uniqueness and updating. Coverage, item criticality and objectivity reached a Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.95. The Content Validity Index was 0.95 for coverage, coherence, item criticality, scientific writing, relevance and updating. Conclusion: Rangel’s instrument for nursing care aimed at preventing and controlling hemorrhage in the third period of birth, translated into Angolan Portuguese and validated by nurses, through the statistical results obtained in the validation, was considered reliable and necessary for clinical nursing practice in Huambo, Angola. .
