Back to Back Combined Single Feed Proximity Coupled Antenna with Dumbbell Shaped DGS

Use of defected ground structure (DGS) to reduce the size of patch antenna is presented in this paper. In order to get a dipole like radiation pattern for some specific application a dumbbell shaped DGS is used in the common ground plane of back to back combined single fed proximity coupled antenna. A size reduction of about 60% is achiev.d. Parametric analysis has been done to see the resonance behav.or of the antenna with DGS.

Optimizing the seed-cell filling performance of an inclined plate seed metering dev.ce using integrated ANN-PSO approach

Uniformseed distribution within the row is the prime objectiv. of precision planters for better crop growth and *** plate planters are generally used for sowing bold seeds likemaize,groundnut,chickpea,and their operating parameters like the forward speed of operation,the seedmetering plate inclination,and the seed lev.l in the hopper affect the cell fill and subsequently the uniformseed ***,to achiev. precise seed distribution,these parameters need to be *** the present study,out of the different optimization techniques,a new intelligent optimization technique based on the integrated ANN-PSO approach has been used to achiev. the set goal.A 3–5-1 artificial neural network(ANN)model was dev.loped for predicting the cell fill of inclined plate seedmetering dev.ce,and the particle swarmoptimization(PSO)algorithmwas applied to obtain the optimum v.lues of the operating parameters corresponding to 100%cell *** most appropriate optimal v.lues of the forward speed of operation,the seed metering plate inclination,and the seed lev.l in the hopper for achiev.ng 100%cell fill were found to be 3 km/h,50-degree,and 75%of total height,*** proposed integrated ANN-PSO approach was capable of predicting the optimal v.lues of operating parameters with amaximumdev.ation of 2%compared to the experimental results,thus confirmed the reliability of the proposed optimization technique.

A transformed analytical model for thermal noise of FinFET based on fringing field approximation

This paper delineates the effect of nonplanar structure of Fin FETs on noise performance. We demonstrate the thermal noise analytical model that has been inferred by taking into account the presence of an additional inv.rted region in the extended（underlap） S/D region due to finite gate electrode thickness. Noise inv.stigation includes the effects of source drain resistances which become significant as channel length becomes shorter. In this paper, we ev.luate the additional noise caused by three dimensional（3-D） structure of the single fin dev.ce and then extended analysis of the multi-fin and multi-fingers structure. The addition of fringe field increases its minimum noise figure and noise resistance of approximately 1 d B and 100Ω respectiv.ly and optimum admittance increases to 5.45 mΩ at 20 GHz for a dev.ce operating under saturation region. Hence, our transformed model plays a significant function in ev.luation of accurate noise performance at circuit lev.l.
