Iron(Fe)minerals are commonly used to remove phosphorus(P)from waste streams,producing P-loaded Fe(Ⅲ)oxides or Fe(Ⅱ)phosphate minerals(e.g.,vivianite).These minerals may be used as fertilizers to enhance P circularity if solubilized in ***,we tested the P fertilizer value of recycled Fe phosphates(FePs)in a pot trial and in an incubation experiment,hypothesizing that P release from FePs is possible under Fe(Ⅲ)-reducing ***,a pot trial was set up with rice(Oryza sativa)in all combinations of soil flooding or not,three P-deficient soils(acid,neutral,and calcareous),and six FePs(three Fe(Ⅲ)Ps and three Fe(Ⅱ)Ps)referenced to triple superphosphate(TsP)or zero *** P uptake responded to TsP application in all treatments but only marginally to *** redox potential did not decrease to-200 mV by flooding for a brief period(13 d)during the pot trial.A longer incubation experiment(60 d)was performed,including a treatment of glutamate addition to stimulate reductive conditions,and P availability was assessed with CaCl_(2)extraction of *** addition and/or longer incubation lowered soil redox potential tos released P,and adequate P was reached in the calcareous soil and in the neutral soil amended with Fe(Ⅲ)*** can be concluded that prolonged soil flooding and organic matter addition can enhance the P fertilizer efficiency of ***,application of FeP in powder form may enhance P availability.

A 59-year-old woman presented with the clinical symptoms and radiologic investigations of a liver lesion suspect of metastasis. However, postoperative histopathology revealed a primary hepatic lymphoma (PHL). The case of a patient with a solitary PHL, which was treated by resection and subsequent chemotherapy, will be discussed with a short overview of the literature.

Background:In the military,insufficient postural stability is a risk factor for developing lower extremity *** stability training programs are effective in preventing these ***,an objective method for the measurement of postural stability in servicemen is *** primary objective of this study was to assess the influence of the number of repetitions,different foot positions and real-time visual feedback on postural stability,as well as their effects on the intrasession reliability of postural stability measurements in *** secondary objective was to assess the concurrent validity of the ***:Twenty healthy servicemen between 20 and 50 years of age and in active duty were eligible for this quantitative,cross-sectional *** measurements took place on a force plate,measuring the mean velocity of the center of *** participants were asked to stand as still as possible in three different foot positions(wide stance,small stance,and on one leg),five times each for 45 s each time,and the measurements were performed with and without real-time visual ***:We observed a significant main effect of foot position(Psual feedback(P=0.119)or repetition number(P=0.915).Postural stability decreased in the more challenging foot *** ICC estimates varied from 0.809(one repetition in wide stance)to 0.985(five repetitions on one leg).The common variance(R2)between different foot positions without feedback varied between 0.008(wide stance)and ***:To yield reliable data,wide-stance measurements should be conducted three times,and small-stance measurements and measurements on one leg should be conducted two *** scores of a measurement in a particular foot position cannot predict the scores of measurements in other foot positions.

Climate and water availability greatly affect each season’s grape yield and *** models to accurately predict environment impacts on fruit productivity and quality is a huge *** calibrated and validated the functional-structural model,GrapevineXL,with a data set including grapevine seasonal midday stem water potential(�xylem),berry dry weight(DW),fresh weight(FW),and sugar concentration per volume([sugar])for a wine grape cultivar(Vitis vinifera *** Franc)in field conditions over 13 years in Bordeaux,*** results showed that the model could make a fair prediction of seasonal�xylem and good-to-excellent predictions of berry DW,FW,[sugar]and leaf gas exchange responses to predawn and midday leaf water potentials under diverse environmental conditions with 14 key *** running virtual experiments to mimic climate change,an advanced veraison(*** onset of ripening)of 14 and 28 days led to significant decreases of berry FW by 2.70%and 3.22%,clear increases of berry[sugar]by 2.90%and 4.29%,and shortened ripening duration in 8 out of 13 simulated years,***,the impact of the advanced veraison varied with seasonal patterns of climate and soil water ***,the results showed that the GrapevineXL model can predict plant water use and berry growth in field conditions and could serve as a valuable tool for designing sustainable vineyard management strategies to cope with climate change.

Time-series of land surface phenology （LsP） data offer insights about vegetation growth patterns. They can be generated by exploiting the temporal and spectral reflectance properties of land surface components. Inter- annual and seasonal LsP data are important for under- standing and predicting an ecosystem＇s response to variations caused by natural and anthropogenic drivers. This research examines spatio-temporal change patterns and interactions between terrestrial phenology and 28 years of climate dynamics in Central Asia. Long-term （1981-2008） LsP records such as timing of the start, peak and length of the growing season and vegetation productivity were derived from remotely sensed vegetation greenness data. The patterns were analyzed to identify and characterize the impact of climate drivers at regional scales. We explored the relationships between phenologi- cal and precipitation and temperature variables for three generalized land use types that were exposed to decade- long regional drought events and intensified land and water resource use： rainfed agriculture, irrigated agriculture, and non-agriculture. To determine whether and how LsP dynamics are associated with climate patterns, a series of simple linear regression analyses between these two variables was executed. The three land use classes showed unique phenological responses to climate variation across Central Asia. Most of the phenological response variables were shown to be positively correlated to precipitation and negatively correlated to temperature. The most substantial climate variable affecting phenological responses of all three land use classes was a spring temperature regime. These results indicate that future higher temperatures would cause earlier and longer growing seasons.

Alzheimer's disease(AD)is a multifactorial neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the presence of senile plaques and neurofibrillary *** attempts to identify characteristic factors that are associated with the presence of the AD pathology on the one hand and that increase the risk of developing AD on the *** in non-rapid eye movement(NREM)sleep may meet both requirements for various ***,NREM-sleep is important for optimal memory *** addition,studies report that the presence of AD pathology is associated with NREM-sleep ***,more and more results appear to suggest that sleep problems are not only a symptom of AD but can also increase the risk of *** of these studies suggest that it is primarily a lack of NREM-sleep that is responsible for this increased ***,the majority investigated sleep only through subjective reporting,as a result of which NREMsleep could not be analyzed *** aim of this literature study is therefore to present the results of the studies that relate the AD pathology and NREM-sleep(registered by electroencephalography).Furthermore,we try to evaluate whether NREM-sleep analysis could be used to support the diagnosis of AD and whether NREM-sleep deficiency could be a causal factor in the development of AD.

Prediction of DOM removal of low specific UV absorbance surface waters using HPsEC combined with peak fitting

High performance size exclusion chromatography （HPsEC） is used in water quality research primarily to determine the molecular weight distribution of the dissolved organic matter （DOM）, but by applying peak fitting to the chromatogram, this technique can also be used as a tool to model and predict DOM removal. six low specific UV absorbance （sUVA） source waters were treated using coagulation with alum and both the source and treated water samples were analysed using HPsEC. By comparing the molecular weight profiles of the source and treated waters, it was established that several DOM components were not effectively removed by alum coagulation even after high dosage alum treatment. A peak-fitting technique was applied based on the concept of linking the character （molecular weight profile） of the recalcitrant organics in the treated water with those of the source water. This was then applied to predict DOM treatability by determining the areas of the peaks which were assigned to removable organics from the source water molecular weight profile after peak fitting, and this technique quantified the removable and non-removable organics. The prediction was compared with the actual dissolved organic carbon （DOC） removal determined from jar testing and showed good agreement, with variance between 2% and 10%. This confirmed that this prediction approach, which was originally developed for high sUVA waters, can also be applied successfully to predict DOC removal in low sUVA waters.

This paper presents new estimates of the development of the urban population and the urbanization ratio for the period spanning the song and late Qing dynasties. Urbanization is viewed, as in much of the economic historical literature on the topic, as an indirect indicator of economic development and structural change. The development of the urban system can therefore tell us a lot about long-term trends in the Chinese economy between 1100 and 1900. During the song, the level of urbanization was high, also by international standards--the capital cities of the song were probably the largest cities in the world. This remained so until the late Ming, but during the Qing there was a downward trend in the level of urbanization from 11%-12% to 7% in the late 18th century, a level at which it remained until the early 1900s. In our paper we analyse the role that socio-political and economic causes played in this decline, such as the changing character of the Chinese state, the limited impact of overseas trade on the urban system, and the apparent absence of the dynamic economic effects that were characteristic for the European urban system. The treatment of organics present in the lower reaches of a major river system（the Murray–Darling Basin, Australia） before（March–July 2010）, during（December 2010–May 2011） and after（April–December 2012） a major flood period was investigated. The flood period（over 6 months）occurred during an intense La Nia cycle, leading to rapid and high increases in river flows and organic loads in the river water. Dissolved organic carbon（DOC） increased（2–3 times） to high concentrations（up to 16 mg/L） and was found to correlate with river flow rates. The treatability of organics was studied using conventional jar tests with alum and an enhanced coagulation model（mEnCo）. Predicted mean alum dose rates（per mg DOC） were higher before（9.1 mg alum/mg DOC） and after（8.5 mg alum/mg DOC） than during the flood event（8.0 mg alum/mg DOC）,indicating differences in the character of the organics in raw waters. To assess the character of natural organic matter present in raw and treated waters, high performance size exclusion chromatography with UV and fluorescence detectors were used. During the flood period, high molecular weight UV absorbing compounds（〉2 kDa） were mostly detected in waters collected,but were not evident in waters collected before and afterwards. The relative abundances of humic-like and protein-like compounds during and following the flood period were also investigated and found to be of a higher molecular weight during the flood period. The treatability of the organics was found to vary over the three climate conditions investigated.
