Bifunctional oxygen electrode cobalt–nickel sulfides catalysts originated from intercalated LDH precursors

Bimetallic cobalt-nickel sulfide nanoparticles anchored on S-,N-codoped holey carbon nanosheets(CoNiS-T@NCFs)with a hydrangea-like morphology,were synthesized via a confinement synthesis route,in which an intercalated LDH precursor was subjected to the interlayer-confined carbonization and host-layer *** phase transformation and structure evolution(e.g.,atom site occupancy,crystallite size,and cell volume)of the CoNi-S-T@NCFs electrocatalysts,as a function of sulfurization temperatures,were confirmed by X-ray diffraction and Rietveld *** sulfur vacancies effectively enhance the electrocatalytic activity,while the synergistic effect of(Co,Ni)7 S8 alloy and S,N-codoped carbon matrix facilitates the electron transfer and accelerates reaction kinetics,making CoNi-S-900@NCFs an efficient and stable bifunctional electrocatalyst for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).The rich highvalence Co(Ⅲ)and Ni(Ⅲ)of CoNi-S-900@NCFs facilitates the in-situ transformation of the metal(oxy)hydroxides intermediates with high catalytic activity for oxygen evolution reaction(OER).Thus,with a bifunctional parameter,ΔE,of 0.75 V(E_(j=10,OER)-E_(1/2,ORR)),this electrocatalyst slightly outperforms the state-of-the-art commercial Pt/C+RuO_(2)/C catalyst(ΔE=0.76 V)in alkaline *** work demonstrates the influence that the sulfurization temperature has on the relationship between the structure and electrocatalytic performance of bimetallic sulfides prepared by the synthesis strategy using the intercalated LDH *** strategy can be extended to prepare other chalcogenides with binary or ternary transition metals.

The Astrophysics Directorate of CONIDA has installed two radio spectrometer stations belonging to the e-CALLISTO network in Lima,*** their strategic location near the Equator,it is possible to observe the Sun evenly throughout the whole *** receiver located at Pucusana,nearby the capital city of Lima,took data from October 2014 until August 2016 in the metric and decimetric bands looking for radio *** this period,this e-CALLISTO detector was unique in its time-zone *** asses the suitability of the sites and the performance of the antennas,we analyzed the radio ambient background and measured their radiation pattern and *** demonstrate the capabilities of the facilities for studying solar dynamics in these radio frequencies,we have selected and analyzed typeⅢSolar Radio *** study of this kind of burst helps to understand the electron beams traversing the solar corona and the solar atmospheric *** have characterized the most common radio bursts with the following mean values:a negative drift rate of-25.8±3.7 MHz s^(-1),a duration of 2.6±0.3 s and 35 MHz bandwidth in the frequency range of 114 to 174 *** addition,for some events,it was possible to calculate a global frequency drift which on average was 0.4±0.1 MHz s^(-1).

Constructive thinking,rational intelligence and irritable bowel syndrome

AIM： To evaluate rational and experiential intelligence in irritable bowel syndrome （IBS） sufferers. METHODS： We recruited 100 subjects with IBS as per Rome 11 criteria （50 consulters and 50 non-consulters） and 100 healthy controls, matched by age, sex and educational level. Cases and controls completed a clinical questionnaire （including symptom characteristics and medical consultation） and the following tests： rational- intelligence （Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, 3rd edition）; experiential-intelligence （Constructive Thinking Inventory）; personality （NEO personality inventory）; psychopathology （MMPI-2）, anxiety （state-trait anxiety inventory） and life events （social readjustment rating scale）. Analysis of variance was used to compare the test results of IBS-sufferers and controls, and a logistic regression model was then constructed and adjusted for age, sex and educational level to evaluate any possible association with IBS. RESULTS： No differences were found between IBS cases and controls in terms of IQ （102.0 ± 10.8 vs 102.8 ± 12.6）, but IBS sufferers scored significantly lower in global constructive thinking （43.7± 9.4 vs 49.6 ± 9.7）. In the logistic regression model, global constructive thinking score was independently linked to suffering from IBS [OR 0.92 （0.87-0.97）], without significant OR for total IQ. CONCLUSION： IBS subjects do not show lower rational intelligence than controls, but lower experiential intelligence is nevertheless associated with IBS.

As society faces global challenges such as population growth and climate change,rethinking cities is now more imperative than *** design of cities can not be abstracted from the design of their mobility ***,efficient solutions must be found to transport people and goods throughout the city efficiently and *** autonomous bicycle-sharing system would combine the most relevant benefits of vehicle-sharing,autonomy,and micro-mobility,increasing the efficiency and convenience of bicycle-sharing systems and incentivizing more people to bike and enjoy their cities in an environmentally friendly *** to the novelty of introducing autonomous driving technology into bicycle-sharing systems and their inherent complexity,there is a need to quantify the potential impact of autonomy on fleet performance and user *** paper presents the results of an agent-based simulation that provides an in-depth understanding of the fleet behavior of autonomous bicycle-sharing systems in realistic scenarios,including a rebalancing system based on demand *** addition,this work describes the impact of different parameters on system efficiency and service ***,it quantifies the extent to which an autonomous system would outperform current station-based and dockless bicycle-sharing *** obtained results show that with a fleet size three and a half times smaller than a station-based system and eight times smaller than a dockless system,an autonomous system can improve overall performance and user experience even with no rebalancing.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is a heterogeneous and complex disease that is imprecisely diagnosed by liver *** covers a spectrum that ranges from simple steatosis,nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH)with varying degrees of fibrosis,to cirrhosis,which is a major risk factor for hepatocellular *** and eating habit changes during the last century have made NAFLD the most common liver disease linked to obesity,type 2 diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia,with a global prevalence of 25%.NAFLD arises when the uptake of fatty acids(FA)and triglycerides(TG)from circulation and de novo lipogenesis saturate the rate of FAβ-oxidation and verylow density lipoprotein(VLDL)-TG *** lipid metabolism is also associated with NAFLD progression from steatosis to NASH,and therefore,alterations in liver and serum lipidomic signatures are good indicators of the disease’s development and *** review focuses on the importance of the classification of NAFLD patients into different subtypes,corresponding to the main alteration(s)in the major pathways that regulate FA homeostasis leading,in each case,to the initiation and progression of *** concept also supports the targeted intervention as a key approach to maximize therapeutic efficacy and opens the door to the development of precise NASH treatments.

Social Network-Aware Interfaces as Facilitators of Innovation

Achieving continuous innovation in organizations requires a balance between exploiting yet acquired knowledge and exploring new knowledge. In addition to having the adequate resources, change and innovation capabilities require specific management support and organizational structures. Recent research has pointed out the importance of social network structure and of the activity of agents that work across domains or disciplines in the innovation-oriented behaviour of organizations. As a consequence, information systems should ideally be able to support the analysis, development and management of such social structure for the benefit of organizational objectives. Current social network interfaces provide an established mental model to workers that can be hypothesized to be adequate for supporting activities that foster innovative behaviour. That behaviour is facilitated through exposing the activities of other workers across organizational structures. This paper reports on the design of a user interface specifically targeted to manage the social aspects of innovation based on some aspects of Hargadon＇s model of innovation and knowledge brokering. The emergent nature of interactions in social network sites is used as the metaphor to foster situated cognition. The interface design assessment is described and some metrics for innovative behaviour that could be derived for such an interface are sketched.

Effect of snow on mountain river regimes： an example from the Pyrenees

The purpose of this study was to characterize mountain river regimes in the Spanish Pyrenees and to assess the importance of snow accumulation and snowmelt on the timing of river flows. Daily streamflow data from 9 gauging stations in the Pyrenees were used to characterize river regimes. These data were analyzed by hydrological indices, with a focus on periods when snow accumulation and snowmelt occurred. These results were combined with data on Snow Water Equivalent （SWE）（from measure- ments of depth and density of snow in the main river basins and also simulated by a process-based hydrological model）, snowmelting （simulated by a process-based hydrological model）, precipitation （from observations）, and temperature （from observations）. Longitude. and elevation gradients in the Pyrenees explain the transition of river regimes from those that mostly had low nival signals （in the west and at low elevations） to those that mostly had high nival signals （low winter runoff and late spring peakflow, in the east and at high elevations）. Although trend analyses indicated no statistically signifi- cant changes, there was a trend of decreased nival signal over time in most of the analyzed rivers. Our results also demonstrated that snow processes cannot explain all of the interannual variability of river regimes, because the temporal distribution of liquid precipitation and tempera- ture play key roles in hydrography.
