Peyronie’s disease(PD)is a condition of penile connective tissue affecting up to 10%of men *** the complexity ofits management,nonsurgical treatments,such as intraplaque injections,are gaining *** current literature shows dataon the efficacy of intraplaque injections of hyaluronic acid(HA)mainly in acute-phase ***,data on injections of HA instable-phase PD are *** for this retrospective study were derived from a prospectively maintained database of privatepatients presenting at a private medical practice affiliated to the University of Naples“Federico II”(Naples,Italy)with stable-phasePD between January 2020 and march *** underwent a standard protocol of three injections,each administered at atwo-week *** the intervals,patients performed vacuum device therapy,penile stretching,and modeling *** compiled the Peyronie’s Disease Questionnaire(PDQ)and Global Assessment of Peyronie’s Disease(GAPD)at baselineand 2 weeks after the third injection.A penile Doppler ultrasound was performed 2 weeks after the last injection to record thefinal ***,we recruited 62 patients with stable-phase PD and a mean(±standard deviation[s.d.])curvature of52.7°(±9.7°).After 6 weeks,eight(12.9%)patients did not experience any curvature *** remaining 54 patientshad a final mean(±s.d.)curvature of 40.3°(±9.1°)with Pmains(all P≤0.01),and 50(80.6%)patients reported subjective improvement of the penile curvature according to *** conclusion,we demonstrated that after three injections of HA administered according to the adopted protocol,patientswith stable-phase PD could experience significant improvements in penile curvature,and physical and psychological consequencesof the disease without significantly relevant side effects.

Let X be a zero-dimensional scheme in p1 × p1. Then X has a minimal free resolution of length 2 if and only if X is ACM. In this paper we determine a class of reduced schemes whose resolutions, similarly to the ACM case, can be obtained by their Hilbert functions and depend only on their distributions of points in a grid of lines. Moreover, a minimal set of generators of the ideal of these schemes is given by curves split into the union of lines.

Retinal dysfunction is the most common cause of vision loss in several retinal *** has been estimated a great increase in these pathologies that are becoming more globally widespread and numerous over time,also supported by the life expectancy *** different types of retinopathies,we can account some that share causes,symptoms,and treatment including diabetic retinopathy,age-related macular degeneration,glaucoma,and retinitis *** changes,environmental factors,and genetic predisposition might be some of the main causes that drive retinal tissue to chronic inflammation and neurodegeneration in these *** treatments available on the market contain compounds that efficiently ameliorate some of the important clinical features of these pathologies like stabilization of the intraocular pressure,reduction of eye inflammation,control of eye oxidative stress which are considered the major molecular mechanisms related to retinal ***,the most commonly used drugs are antiinflammatories,such as corticosteroids,antioxidant,hypotonic molecules and natural neuroprotective ***,these drugs,which are fundamental to treating disease symptoms,are not capable to cure the pathologies and so they are not life-changing for *** review provided an overview of current treatments on the market,but more interestingly,wants to be a quick window on the new treatments that are now in clinical ***,it has been here highlighted that the recent technical enhancement of the investigation methods to identify the various retinopathies causes might be used as a sort of“precise medicine”approach to tailor the identification of molecular pathways involved and potentially study a dedicated treatment for each *** approach includes the use of cutting-edge technologies like gene therapy and metabolomics.

The hydrogen peroxide, a green impregnating agent suitable for lignocellulosic biomass to bioethanol process, was used to pretreat sugarcane bagasse by steam explosion. Two different concentrations of hydrogen peroxide（0.2% and 1%） were investigated. Then, the biomass was hydrolyzed after pretreatment using cellulase. The amount released of：（i） cellobiose;（ii） monosaccharides, as glucose, xylose, arabinose and mannose and（iii） lignocellulose derived by-products, as furans and small organic acids（acetic, formic,and levulinic acid）, was evaluated in the hydrolysate samples, previously pretreated both in the presence and absence of impregnating agent. By adding of hydrogen peroxide in steam-pretreatment, the average yield increase was 12% for glucose and as high as 34% for xylose, and cellobiose yield was decreased of about 30%. No significant increase has been observed in arabinose and mannose yield. Furthermore,the hydrogen peroxide seems not increased the formation of lignocellulose derived by-products during pretreatment process, with the exception of the levulinic acid.
