With the integration of ultrafast reflectivity and polarimetry probes,we observed carrier relaxation and spin dynamics induced by ultrafast laser excitation of Ni(111)single *** carrier relaxation time within the linear excitation range reveals that electron-phonon coupling and dissipation of photon energy into the bulk of the crystal take tens of *** the other hand,the observed spin dynamics indicate a longer time of about 120 *** further understand how the lattice degree of freedom is coupled with these dynamics may require the integration of an ultrafast diffraction probe.

In the bridge technical condition assessment standards,the evaluation of bridge conditions primarily relies on the defects identified through manual inspections,which are determined using the comprehensive hierarchical analysis ***,the relationship between the defects and the technical condition of the bridges warrants further *** address this situation,this paper proposes a machine learning-based intelligent diagnosis model for the technical condition of highway ***,collect the inspection records of highway bridges in a certain region of China,then standardize the severity of diverse defects in accordance with relevant ***,in order to enhance the independence between the defects,the key defect indicators were screened using Principal Component Analysis(PCA)in combination with the weights of the building *** on this,an enhanced Naive Bayesian Classification(NBC)algorithm is established for the intelligent diagnosis of technical conditions of highway bridges,juxtaposed with four other algorithms for ***,key defect variables that affect changes in bridge grades are *** results showed that the technical condition level of the superstructure had the highest correlation with cracks;the PCA-NBC algorithm achieved an accuracy of 93.50%of the predicted values,which was the highest improvement of 19.43%over other *** purpose of this paper is to provide inspectors with a convenient and predictive information-rich method to intelligently diagnose the technical condition of bridges based on bridge *** results of this research can help bridge inspectors and even non-specialists to better understand the condition of bridge defects.

Despite the successful application of immune checkpoint therapy,no response or recurrence is typical in lung *** stem cells(CSCs)have been identified as a crucial player in immunotherapy-related ***,a form of cell death driven by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation,is highly regulated by cellular metabolism remolding and has been shown to have synergistic effects when combined with *** adaption of CsCs drives tumor resistance,yet the mechanisms of their ferroptosis defense in tumor immune evasion remain ***,through metabolomics,transcriptomics,a lung epithelialspecific Cptla-knockout mouse model,and clinical analysis,we demonstrate that CPT1A,a key rate-limiting enzyme of fatty acid oxidation,acts with L-carnitine,derived from tumor-associated macrophages to drive ferroptosis-resistance and CD8^(+)T cells inactivation in lung ***,CPT1A restrains ubiquitination and degradation of c-Myc,while c-Myc transcriptionally activates CPT1A *** CPT1A/c-Myc positive feedback loop further enhances the cellular antioxidant capacity by activating the NRF2/GPX4 system and reduces the amount of phospholipid polyunsaturated fatty acids through ACSL4 downregulating,thereby suppressing ferroptosis in ***,targeting CPT1A enhances immune checkpoint blockadeinduced anti-tumor immunity and tumoral ferroptosis in tumor-bearing *** results illustrate the potential of a mechanismguided therapeutic strategy by targeting a metabolic vulnerability in the ferroptosis of CsCs to improve the efficacy of lung cancer immunotherapy.

In this paper,we investigate the maximization of the differences between a nonnegative monotone diminishing return submodular(DR-submodular)function and a nonnegative linear function on the integer *** it is almost unapproximable for maximizing a submodular function without the condition of nonnegative,we provide weak(bifactor)approximation algorithms for this problem in two online settings,*** the unconstrained online model,we combine the ideas of single-threshold greedy,binary search and function scaling to give an efficient algorithm with a 1/2 weak approximation *** the online streaming model subject to a cardinality constraint,we provide a one-pass(3-√5)/2 weak approximation ratio streaming *** memory complexity is(k log k/ε),and the update time for per element is(log^(2)k/ε).

Stress and illness connection is complex and involves multiple physiological *** ginsengs,reputed for their broad-spectrum“cure-all”effect,are widely prescribed to treat stress and related ***,the identity of ginseng’s“cure-all”medicinal compounds that relieve stress remains ***,we identify ginsentides as the principal bioactives that coordinate multiple systems to restore homeostasis in response to *** are disulfide-rich,cell-penetrating and proteolytic-stable *** affinity-enrichment mass spectrometry target identification together with in vitro,ex vivo and in vivo validations,we show that highly purified or synthetic ginsentides promote vasorelaxation by producing nitric oxide through endothelial cells via intracellular PI3K/Akt signaling pathway,alleviate a1-adrenergic receptor overactivity by reversing phenylephrine-induced constriction of aorta,decrease monocyte adhesion to endothelial cells via CD166/eSAM/CD40 and inhibit P2y12 receptors to reduce platelet *** administered ginsentides were effective in animal models to reduce ADP-induced platelet aggregation,to prevent collagen and adrenalineinduced pulmonary thrombosis as well as anti-stress behavior of tail suspension and forced swimming tests in ***,these results strongly suggest that ginsentides are the principal panacea compounds of ginsengs because of their ability to target multiple extra-and intra-cellular proteins to reverse stress-induced dama.es.

Response mechanism of soil microorganisms to simulated precipitation in the source wetland of Qinghai Lake

Background Changes in precipitation patterns crucially impact soil microbial communities, and the ecosystem in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP) is highly vulnerable to clima.e change. However, we do not fully understand how soil microbial communities in the source wetlands of QTP respond to changes in precipitation. In this study, we employed advanced techniques such as high-throughput sequencing and metabolomics to investigate how soil microbial communities in a source wetland of Qinghai Lake respond to changes in precipitation after quadrennial precipitation *** Our findings showed that the predominant microbiota in the source wetland was Proteobacteria. Interestingly, alterations in precipitation levels, whether increased or reduced, did not significantly impact the diversity or functional groups of the microbial community. However, the structure of the microbial community did respond notably to changes in precipitation, leading to shifts in the relative abundance of Spirochaetes and Treponema. A notable finding was that reduced precipitation levels(– 25% and-50%) and mild increases in precipitation(25%) within the region contributed to increased soil carbon content. However, this effect ceased to manifest when precipitation increased by 50%. Additionally, the reduction in precipitation prompted the release of soil metabolites like syringic acid and aldosterone, while enhanced precipitation resulted in a decrease in aldosterone *** Precipitation changes altered the relative abundance of soil microbial communities and metabolites, which was conducive to increasing carbon storage in this alpine wetland.

BACKGROUND Pulmonary fibrosis(PF)is a chronic interstitial lung disease characterized by fibroblast proliferation and extracellular matrix formation,causing structural dama.e and lung *** cell therapy and mesenchymal stem cells-extracellular vesicles(MSC-eVs)offer new hope for PF *** To investigate the therapeutic potential of MSC-eVs in alleviating fibrosis,oxidative stress,and immune inflammation in A549 cells and bleomycin(BLM)-induced mouse *** The effect of MSC-eVs on A549 cells was assessed by fibrosis markers[collagen I andα-smooth muscle actin(α-Sma),oxidative stress regulators[nuclear factor e2-related factor 2(Nrf2)and heme oxygenase-1(HO-1),and inflammatory regu-lators[nuclear factor-kappaB(NF-κB)p65,interleukin(IL)-1β,and IL-2].Similarly,they were assessed in the lungs of mice where PF was induced by BLM after MSC-eV ***-eVs ion PF mice were detected by pathological staining and western ***-cell RNA sequencing was performed to investigate the effects of the MSC-eVs on gene expression profiles of macrophages after modeling in *** Transforming growth factor(TGF)-β1 enhanced fibrosis in A549 cells,significantly increasing collagen I andα-Sma ***,treatment with MSC-eVs demonstrated a remarkable alleviation of these ***,the expression of oxidative stress regulators,such as Nrf2 and HO-1,along with inflammatory regulators,including NF-κB p65 and IL-1β,were mitigated by MSC-eV ***,in a parallel manner,MSC-eVs exhibited a downregulatory impact on collagen deposition,oxidative stress injuries,and inflammatory-related cytokines in the lungs of mice with ***,the mRNA sequencing results suggested that BLM may induce PF in mice by upregulating pulmonary collagen fiber deposition and triggering an immune inflammatory *** findings collectively highlight the potential therapeutic efficacy of MSC-eVs in ameliorating fibrotic processes,oxidative stres

We investigated the emission properties of eu3+-doped GdNbO4-based oxide phosphors,aiming at improving the eu3+emission by codoping of Bi3+and Li+.eu3+singly doped,eu3+and Bi3+doubly doped,and eu3+,Bi3+,and Li+triply doped GdNbO4were prepared using a high-temperature solid-state reaction *** red-orange emissions from eu3+in the singly doped samples are significantly improved by the codoping of Bi3+,mainly due to the energy transfer from Bi3+to eu3+.The additional codoping of Li+is found to increase the eu3+emission *** improvement might be attributed to the increase in the photoluminescent quantum yield originating from larger grain sizes and better crystallinity.A detailed analysis of the X-ray diffraction pattern and the asymmetric ratio estima.ed from the photoluminescence spectra show that the local lattice environment around eu3+in GdNbO4does not change significantly with the codoping of Bi3+and Li+.Our results indicate that Li+doping is a promising way to improve the emission properties of rare-earth ion-doped GdNbO4phosphors.

This case report details a rare instance of rapid iris metastasis from esophageal cancer in a 59-year-old man.A literature review was conducted to explore recent advances in detecting,diagnosing,and treating intraocular metastatic *** emission tomographycomputed tomography played a crucial role in identifying primary sites and systemic *** treatment combined with systemic therapy effectively reduced tumor size,preserved useful vision,and improved the patient’s survival rate.A comparison was ma.e of the characteristics of iris metastases from esophageal cancer and lung cancer,including age,gender,tumor characteristics,and *** challenges associated with diagnosis and treatment are discussed,highlighting the implications for clinical practice.
