Roughness characterization and shearing dislocation failure for rock-backfill interface

Shearing dislocation is a common failure type for rock–backfill interfaces because of backfill sedimentation and rock strata movement in backfill mining *** paper designed a test method for rock–backfill shearing *** digital image techno-logy and three-dimensional(3d)laser morphology scanning techniques,a set of 3d models with rough joint surfaces was ***,the mechanical behavior of rock–backfill shearing dislocation was investigated using a direct shear *** effects of interface roughness on the shear–displacement curve and failure characteristics of rock–backfill specimens were *** 3d fractal dimen-sion,profile line joint roughness coefficient(JRC),profile line two-dimensional fractal dimension,and the surface curvature of the frac-tures were *** correlation characterization of surface roughness was then analyzed,and the shear strength could be measured and calculated using *** results showed the following:there were three failure threshold value points in rock–backfill shearing dis-location:30%–50%displacement before the peak,70%–90%displacement before the peak,and 100%displacement before the peak to post-peak,which could be a sign for rock–backfill shearing dislocation *** surface JRC could be used to judge the rock–backfill shearing dislocation failure,including post-peak sliding,uniform variations,and gradient change,corresponding to rock–backfill disloca-tion failure on the field *** research reveals the damage mechanism for rock–backfill complexes based on the free joint surface,fills the gap of existing shearing theoretical systems for isomerism complexes,and provides a theoretical basis for the prevention and control of possible disasters in backfill mining.

Blockchain-Enabled Privacy Protection and Access Control Scheme Towards Sensitive digital Assets management

With the growth of requirements for data sharing,a novel business model of digital assets trading has emerged that allows data owners to sell their data for monetary *** the distributed ledger of blockchain,however,the privacy of stakeholder's identity and the confidentiality of data content are ***,we proposed a blockchainenabled privacy-preserving and access control scheme to address the above ***,the multi-channel mechanism is introduced to provide the privacy protection of distributed ledger inside the channel and achieve coarse-grained access control to digital ***,we use multi-authority attribute-based encryption(maABE)algorithm to build a fine-grained access control model for data trading in a single channel and describe its instantiation in *** analysis shows that the scheme has INd-CPA secure and can provide privacy protection and collusion *** with other schemes,our solution has better performance in privacy protection and access *** evaluation results demonstrate its effectiveness and practicability.

Supplementation of alanine improves biomass accumulation and lipid production of Chlorella pyrenoidosa by increasing the respiratory and metabolic processes

The function of exogenous alanine(Ala)in regulating biomass accumulation,lipid production,photosynthesis,and respiration in Chlorella pyrenoidosa was *** shows that the supplementation of Ala increased *** biomass and lipid production in an 8-d batch *** concentration of 10 mmol/L of Ala was optimum and increased the microalgal cell biomass and lipid content by 39.3%and 21.4%,respectively,compared with that in the control(0-mmol/L Ala).Ala supplementation reduced photosynthetic activity while boosting respiratory activity and pyruvate levels,indicating that *** used exogenous Ala for biomass accumulation through the respiratory metabolic *** accelerated respiratory metabolism due to Ala supplementation elevated the substrate pool and improved the lipogenic gene expression,promoting lipid production at *** study provided a novel method for increasing biomass accumulation and lipid production and elucidated the role of Ala in regulating lipid production.

Recently,the substance P(SP)/neurokinin-1 receptor(NK-1R)system has been found to be involved in various human pathophysiological disorders including the symptoms of coronavirus disease 2019(COVId-19).Besides,studies in the oncological field have demonstrated an intricate correlation between the upregulation of NK-1R and the activation of SP/NK-1R system with the progression of multiple carcinoma types and poor clinical *** findings indicate that the modulation of SP/NK-1R system with NK-1R antagonists can be a potential broad-spectrum antitumor *** review updates the latest potential and applications of NK-1R antagonists in the treatment of human diseases and cancers,as well as the underlying ***,the strategies to improve the bioavailability and efficacy of NK-1R antagonist drugs are summarized,such as solid dispersion systems,nanonization,and *** a radiopharmaceutical therapeutic,the NK-1R antagonist aprepitant was originally developed as radioligand receptor to target NK-1R-overexpressing ***,combining NK-1R antagonists with other drugs can produce a synergistic effect,thereby enhancing the therapeutic effect,alleviating the symptoms,and improving patients’quality of life in several diseases and cancers.

The present paper is devoted to the well-posedness issue for the 3d incompressible Hall-MHd system obtained from kinetic models. Our analysis strongly relies on the use of the Fourier analysis. We establish the global existence of smooth solutions for a class of large initial data, this result implies the initial velocity and magnetic field can be arbitrarily large.

An approach for formation design and flight performance prediction based on aerodynamic formation unit:Energy-saving considerations

The performance improvement of swarm drones through aerodynamic shape optimization may be challenging due to folded size constraints imposed by the specific launch ***,fixed-wing aircraft swarms can benefit from formation flight in terms of energy *** study introduces the concept of the"aerodynamic formation unit",which consists of two or three aircraft that form an inseparable unit of the *** the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)distribution and wingtip vortex interference in the formation,two typical aerodynamic formation units are optimized by the variable-fidelity aerodynamic optimization method based on space *** aerodynamic characteristics of the formation UAVs that affect flight performance,such as lift-to-drag ratio(L/d ratio)and static stability are analyzed by Computational Fluid dynamics(CFd)*** L/d ratio(cruising condition)of the following aircraft can be increased by 22.8%and 57.5%in the optimal units that involve two and three aircraft ***,this study conducts several CFd simulations for multi-aircraft formations formed by the units,which show that the average L/d ratio of the formation can be improved by more than 19%.These results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the"aerodynamic formation unit"concept and the optimization framework for formation parameters.

A Self-sensing TSA-actuated Anthropomorphic Robot Hand

This paper introduces a self-sensing anthropomorphic robot hand driven by Twisted String Actuators(TSAs).The use of TSAs provides several advantages such as muscle-like structures,high transmission ratios,large output forces,high efficiency,compactness,inherent compliance,and the ability to transmit power over ***,conventional sensors used in TSA-actuated robotic hands increase stiffness,mass,volume,and complexity,making feedback control *** address this issue,a novel self-sensing approach is proposed using strain-sensing string based on Conductive Polymer Composite(CPC).By measuring the resistance changes in the strain-sensing string,the bending angle of the robot hand's fingers can be estimated,enabling closed-loop control without external *** developed self-sensing anthropomorphic robot hand comprises a 3d-printed structure with five fingers,a palm,five self-sensing TSAs,and a 3d-printed *** studies validate the self-sensing properties of the TSA and the anthropomorphic robot ***,a real-time Virtual Reality(VR)monitoring system is implemented for visualizing and monitoring the robot hand's movements using its self-sensing *** research contributes valuable insights and advancements to the field of intelligent prosthetics and robotic end grippers.

Sorafenib,as a first-line drug for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),could trigger ferroptosis by inhibiting cystine/glutamate ***,low-level intracellular iron and insufficient activation of adenosine monophosphate(AMP)-activated protein kinase(AMPK)confer impaired response to *** this study,a unique sorafenib nanocomposite dexterously modified with Fe-material of Institut Lavoisier(sora@Fe-MIL)was synthesized to escalate intracellular iron level and activate AMPK,further potentiating the ferroptotic effect of ***,this strategic deployment of sora@Fe-MIL triggered an extensive demise of cancer cells,while manifesting negligible deleterious impact on normal *** prominent ferroptosis biomarkers,glutathione peroxidase 4(GPX4)and solute carrier family 7 member 11(SLC7A11),underwent pronounced downregulation,underscoring the efficacy of this strategy in inducing ***,the bioactivity of AMPK was considerably elevated,and its downstream targets were conspicuously inhibited by the treatment with sora@*** orthotopic HCC animal models,we observed a substantial suppression of primary in situ tumor growth,and ribonucleic acid(RNA)sequencing elucidated an elevated degree of ferroptosis and AMPK activation with the treatment of sora@*** conclusion,we proposed that the meticulously designed strategy for secure and efficacious iron release and AMPK activation could significantly potentiate the ferroptotic impact of sorafenib,thus resuscitating its therapeutic response in HCC patients.

Ultra-wide band gap and wave attenuation mechanism of a novel star-shaped chiral metamaterial

A novel hollow star-shaped chiral metamaterial(SCM)is proposed by incorporating chiral structural properties into the standard hollow star-shaped metamaterial,exhibiting a wide band gap over 1500 *** broaden the band gap,solid single-phase and two-phase SCMs are designed and simulated,which produce two ultra-wide band gaps(approximately 5116 Hz and 6027 Hz,respectively).The main reason for the formation of the ultra-wide band gap is that the rotational vibration of the concave star of two novel SCMs drains the energy of an elastic *** impacts of the concave angle of a single-phase SCM and the resonator radius of a two-phase SCM on the band gaps are *** the concave angle leads to an increase in the width of the widest band gap,and the width of the widest band gap increases as the resonator radius of the two-phase SCM ***,the study on elastic wave propagation characteristics involves analyzing frequency dispersion surfaces,wave propagation directions,group velocities,and phase ***,the analysis focuses on the transmission properties of finite periodic *** solid single-phase SCM achieves a maximum vibration attenuation over 800,while the width of the band gap is smaller than that of the two-phase *** metamaterials exhibit high vibration attenuation capabilities,which can be used in wideband vibration reduction to satisfy the requirement of ultra-wide frequencies.
