Myelin is the protective sheath surrounding nerve fibers, and its damage(demyelination) occurs in many central nervous system(CNS) diseases, including multiple sclerosis(MS), traumatic injury, neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, and mental disorders such as schizophrenia(Barateiro et al., 2016). Repair of damaged myelin sheaths(remyelination) often fails in MS, leading to neuronal loss and irreversible functional deficits.

Parkinson's disease(PD) has a complex and multifactorial pathophysiology. Various studies, conducted both in pre-clinical models and PD patients, have reported a link between the disruption of calcium(Ca^(2+)) homeostasis and the subsequent development of PD. Ca^(2+) regulation is crucial for neuronal survival, differentiation,exocytosis at synapses,gene transcription,and proliferation.

The role and signaling of sphingosine-l-phosphate （SIP） during darkness-induced stomatal closure were examined in Vicia faba. Darkness substantially raised S 1P and hydrogen peroxide （H202） levels and closed stomata. These darkness effects were significantly suppressed by DL-threo-dihydrosphingosine （DL-threo-DHS） and N,N-dimethylsphingosine （DMS）, two inhibi- tors of long-chain base kinases. Exogenous SIP led to stomatal closure and H202 production, and the effects of SIP were largely prevented by the H202 modulators ascorbic acid, catalase, and diphenyleneiodonium. These results indicated that SIP mediated darkness-induced stomatal closure by triggering H202 production. In addition, DL-threo-DHS and DMS significantly suppressed both darkness-induced cytosolic alkalization in guard cells and stomatal closure. Exogenous SIP caused cytosolic alkalization and stomatal closure, which could be largely abolished by butyric acid. These results demonstrated that SIP syn-thesis was necessary for cytosolic alkalization during stomatal closure caused by darkness. Furthermore, together with the data described above, inhibition of darkness-induced H202 production by butyric acid revealed that S 1P synthesis-induced cytosolic alkalization was a prerequisite for H202 production during stomatal closure caused by darkness, a conclusion supported by the facts that the pH increase caused by exogenous SIP had a shorter lag and peaked faster than H202 levels and that butyric acid prevented exogenous SIP-induced H202 production. Altogether, our data suggested that darkness induced SIP synthesis, causing cytosolic alkalization and subsequent H202 production, finally leading to stomatal closure.

Widely used spin-coated nickle oxide （NiOx） based perovskite solar cells often suffer from severe interfacial reactions between the NiOxand adjacent perovskite layers due to surface defect states,which inherently impair device performance in a long-term view,even with surface molecule *** this study,we developed high-quality magnetron-sputtered NiOxthin films through detailed process optimization,and compared systematically sputtered and spin-coated NiOxthin film surfaces from materials to *** sputtered NiOxfilms exhibit improved crystallinity,smoother surfaces,and significantly reduced Ni3+or Ni vacancies compared to their spin-coated ***,the interface between the perovskite and sputtered NiOxfilm shows a substantially reduced density of defect *** solar cells （PSCs） fabricated with our optimally sputtered NiOxfilms achieved a high power conversion efficiency （PCE） of up to 19.93%and demonstrated enhanced stability,maintaining 86.2% efficiency during 500 h of maximum power point tracking under one standard sun ***,with the surface modification using (4-(2,7-dibromo-9,9-dimethylacridin-10（9H）-yl)butyl)p hosphonic acid （DmacPA）,the device PCE was further promoted to 23.07%,which is the highest value reported for sputtered NiOxbased PSCs so far.

Gastric cancer(GC) is a prevalent and lethal malignancy worldwide, and the 5-year survival rate is less than 30%. The absence of distinctive symptoms often leads to late-stage diagnosis, contributing to a grim prognosis. Early detection is pivotal for improving the survival rates and outcomes of GC patients. Traditional diagnostic methods, including gastroscopy and histopathological examination, are restricted in the early diagnosis of GC. Conventional protein biomarkers, such as carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA), carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9), and carbohydrate antigen 72-4(CA72-4), exhibit insufficient sensitivity and specificity for GC screening, which diminishes their clinical value. Recently, novel circulating biomarkers, such as circulating tumor cells(CTCs), circulating tumor cell DNA(ct DNA), and circulating free RNA(cf RNA), have emerged as promising candidates in the burgeoning field of liquid biopsy due to their superior sensitivity and specificity. This review focuses on the latest research on blood-based biomarkers for GC diagnosis and examines the clinical potentials and challenges associated with these emerging biomarkers.

A novel elastic metamaterial is proposed with the aim of achieving lowfrequency broad bandgaps and bandgap regulation. The band structure of the proposed metamaterial is calculated based on the Floquet-Bloch theorem, and the boundary modes of each bandgap are analyzed to understand the effects of each component of the unit cell on the bandgap formation. It is found that the metamaterials with a low elastic modulus of ligaments can generate flexural wave bandgaps below 300 Hz. Multi-frequency vibrations can be suppressed through the selective manipulation of bandgaps. The dual-graded design of metamaterials that can significantly improve the bandgap width is proposed based on parametric studies. A new way that can regulate the bandgap is revealed by studying the graded elastic modulus in the substrate. The results demonstrate that the nonlinear gradient of the elastic modulus in the substrate offers better bandgap performance. Based on these analyses, the proposed elastic metamaterials can pave the way for multi-frequency vibration control, low-frequency bandgap broadening, and bandgap tuning.

Gas quenching and vacuum quenching process are widely applied to accelerate solvent volatilization to induce nucleation of perovskites in blade-coating *** this work,we found these two pre-crystallization processes lead to different order of crystallization dynamics within the perovskite thin film,resulting in the differences of additive *** then tailor-designed an additive molecule named 1,3-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)thiourea to obtain films with fewer defects and holes at the buried interface,and prepared perovskite solar cells with a certified efficiency of 23.75%.Furthermore,this work also demonstrates an efficiency of 20.18%for the large-area perovskite solar module(PSM)with an aperture area of 60.84 cm^(2).The PSM possesses remarkable continuous operation stability for maximum power point tracking of T_(90)>1000 h in ambient air.

Revealing the mechanisms of self-organized core-shell(C-S)structure in immiscible systems has drawn considerable attentions,however,the further and fundamental understanding from the point of view of phase-separated pattern remains extremely *** this work,by realizing two phase-separated patterns in transparent immiscible system,namely nucleation-growth and spinodal decomposition,their effects on radius of minority-phase droplet(MPD)were examined,and subsequently the effect on C-S structure was further *** was found that compared with MPDs produced via nucleation-growth,the MPDs via spinodal decomposition are much larger and easier to form a C-S *** is mainly because the larger MPDs can migrate faster and are earlier to reach the sample’s *** addition,two pathways of core formation were observed during the formation of C-S structure:one evolves from a ringlike structure in the phase separation of spinodal decomposition;the other derives from the collision of numerous MPD at sample’s *** a difference is ascribed to the combination of different growth kinetics and the volume fractions of *** findings might provide an in-depth insight into the C-S structure formation in immiscible systems.
