In this work the structural,electronic and thermoelectric properties of YbMg_(2)X_(2)(X=P,As,Sb,Bi)zintl compounds were investigated comprehensively using first principles *** electronic properties were studied using PBE GGA,TB-mBJ and hybrid(YS-PBE0)*** the structural parameters of optimized structures are in harmonious agreement to the available *** band structure study illustrates that the titled materials manifest metallic and semi metallic nature using PBE and TB-mBJ potentials while they show wide band gap semiconducting behavior by following hybrid(YS-PBE0)*** density of states(TDOS)and partial density of states(PDOS)were also calculated to glimpse the contribution of orbitals of atoms in the formation of *** properties were studied by using BoltzTraP2 code employed to *** get enormous values of Seebeck coefficient(S),power factor(PF)and thermoelectric figure of merit(ZT)for all the samples YbMg_(2)X_(2)(X=P,As,Sb,Bi),Moreover,the overwhelming transport properties for the titled compounds indicate the optimum level of carriers’concentration which pinpoints these materials to be better thermoelectrics in the 1-2-2 zintl family.

In rice,high concentration of lead(Pb)can cause phyto-toxicity affecting several physiological *** of rice varieties that are resistant to Pb-induced oxidative stress is an important management strategy in Pb-contaminated *** the current study,we evaluated four different rice cultivars for their response to Pb-induced *** japonica type cultivars X-Jigna,Ediget,and Furat,and one Indica type cultivar Amber 33 were grown in soil containing different Pb concentrations(0 mM,0.6 mM,and 1.2 mM).The soil was treated with 0 mM or 0.6 mM or 1.2 mM Pb solution one month prior to rice seedling ***,four-week-old rice seedlings were transplanted into the treated soil and their responses were observed until *** data revealed that a highest concentration of Pb(1.2 mM)induced significant reduction in agronomic traits such as plant height,number of tillers per plant,number of panicles per plant,and number of spikelets per panicle in all the rice ***,least reduction in the agronomic traits was observed in X-Jigna,whereas the highest reduction in the agronomic traits was observed in *** activity of catalase(CAT),peroxidase(POD),polyphenol oxidase(PPO),and superoxide dismutase(SOD),was evaluated along with the accumulation of superoxide ions(O2.-),protein,proline,chlorophyll,sucrose,glucose,and fructose contents in all the rice cultivars.A significant increase in antioxidant activity and in the accumulation of proline and sucrose contents with the least reduction in the chlorophyll and protein contents was observed in X-Jigna suggesting that X-Jigna is the most tolerant among all the rice cultivars tested against *** the other hand,non-significant and slightly significant increase in the antioxidant activity,less accumulation of proline and sucrose contents,and higher reduction in the chlorophyll and protein contents was observed in Ediget,which further suggest that Ediget is the most s

Nutritional quality and safety aspects of wild vegetables consume in Bangladesh

Objective: To evaluate the nutritional composition, including major minerals, essential trace elements and toxic heavy metals of five different wild vegetables Dhekishak(Dryopteris filix-mas), Helencha(Enhydra fluctuans), Kalmishak(Ipomoea aquatica),Patshak(Corchorus capsularis) and Shapla stem(Nymphaea stellata) and their safety ***: Proximate parameters moisture, ash, fat, fiber, protein, carbohydrate and energy; major minerals Na, K, Ca and Mg; trace elements Fe, Zn and Cu; and toxic heavy metals Pb, Cd, Cr, Ni and Hg were evaluated in the selected wild vegetables using the standard food analysis ***: The results from nutritional analysis showed that all the wild vegetables used in this study had a low content of crude fat and high content of moisture, ash, crude protein,crude fiber, carbohydrate and energy having the recommended dietary allowances. The vegetables were also rich in major minerals Na, K, Ca and Mg, sufficient in essential trace elements Fe, Cu and Zn while the heavy metals Pb, Cr and Ni were detected higher in amount in all the vegetables except Patshak than the limits recommended by Food and Agriculture Organization/World Health Organization. The heavy metals Cd and Hg were not detected in any ***: The outcome of this study suggests that the wild vegetables have very good nutritional potential to meet the recommended dietary allowances, but special awareness should be taken for public health concern about the high level of Pb, Cr and Ni which exceed the Food and Agriculture Organization/World Health Organization recommended limits for the metals in vegetables.

乙烯或丙烯等一元烯烃是聚合物生产等化工过程中的重要原料,但原料气常伴有烷烃气体,因此需要将烷烃与烯烃有效分离以满足工业应用。由于烯烃和炔烃的沸点接近,常规的蒸馏分离法设备投资和运营费用高、能耗大、分离效果差,因此发展新型分离技术势在必行。很多研究表明,烯烃和金属间存在π键,利用其相互作用通过对乙烯的吸收可实现乙烯和乙烷的分离。由于离子液体在挥发性和毒性等方面都表现出了优于常规有机溶剂的性能。因此,本文首先采用1-丁基-3-甲基-咪唑氯盐(BmimCl)和N-甲基吡啶氯盐(HNMPCl)分别与Cu(Ⅰ)盐以不同比例合成BmimCl-CuCl、2BmimCl-CuCl、3BmimCl-CuCl、HNMPCl-CuCl、 2HNMPCl-CuCl和3HNMPCl-CuCl六种离子液体,并以此为基础构建了等体积气体吸收装置,探究了该类离子液体分离乙烯和乙烷的性能。之后,对吸收过程的动力学进行深入研究并计算出相应的选择系数。结果表明,相同条件下,咪唑基离子液体较吡啶基离子液体具有更高的分离乙烯和乙烷的性能,其中BmimCl-CuCl分离效果最佳。在温度为298K,压力为0.8MPa下,BmimCl-CuCl的选择系数达到7.1,对乙烯的吸收容量高达1.18mol/L。同温同压下,2BmimCl-CuCl和3BmimCl-CuCl的选择系数分别仅为5.3和4.2,对乙烯的吸收容量分别仅为0.86mol/L和0.69mol/L。298K时,BmimCl-CuCl吸收乙烯的速率常数为0.065/min,随着温度升高,速率常数增大。313K时达到0.147/min,328K时达到0.236/min。在298K、0.8 Mpa条件下,三种吡啶基离子液体对乙烯的吸收容量均约为0.35mol/L,说明吡啶离子液体中Cu(Ⅰ)的浓度对乙烯的吸收影响较小。

A significant driving force behind the brisk research on rechargeable batteries, particularly lithium-ion batteries (LiBs) in high-performance applications, is the development of portable devices and electric vehicles. Carbon-based materials, which have finite specific capacity, make up the anodes of LiBs. Many attempts are being made to produce novel nanostructured composite anode materials for LiBs that display cycle stability that is superior to that of graphite using graphene oxide. Therefore, using significant amounts of waste graphene oxide from used LiBs represents a fantastic opportunity to engage in waste management and circular economy. This review outlines recent studies, developments and the current advancement of graphene oxide-based LiBs, including preparation of graphene oxide and utilization in LiBs, particularly from the perspective of energy storage technology, which has drawn more and more attention to creating high-performance electrode systems. Cardioembolic Stroke as a Sequela of General Ventricular Hypokinesia Secondary to Acute Myocarditis in a 16-Year-Old Male

Paediatric cardiac disease is an established cause of ischemic stroke in the neonatal and infantile groups. These diseases may be congenital or acquired. However, clinical myocarditis is in itself, relatively uncommon in older children. The most common pathogen is Coxsackie virus B. The offending agent instigates an immune response, which causes myocardial oedema with eventual systolic and diastolic dysfunction. Cardioembolic stroke can occur secondary to an intra-mural thrombus in a dysfunctional atrium or ventricle. We describe the case of an adolescent male with acute myocarditis complicated by a thromboembolic stroke. After initial management of acute pulmonary oedema and heart failure with restricted ejection fraction (HFrEF), the child developed seizure-like symptoms on the 10th day of hospitalization, prompting urgent neuro-radio diagnosis, which revealed acute infarcts in the cerebellum and frontal lobe of the cerebrum. We believe this case to be of clinical relevance because;1) The diagnosis of an acute stroke in children is often delayed due to the atypical clinical presentation and often the absence of traditional stroke-like symptoms, and 2) There is a lack of sufficient high-quality evidence regarding the predictors and the immediate management of stroke in paediatric heart disease, as well as inadequate data on prevalence and incidence in paediatric cardioembolic strokes.

Infertility represents a significant health concern,with sperm quantity and quality being crucial determinants of male ***(OAT)is characterized by reduced sperm motility,lower sperm concentration,and morphological abnormalities in sperm heads and *** variants in several genes have been implicated in OAT,its genetic etiologies and pathogenetic mechanisms remain inadequately *** this study,we identified a homozygous nonsense mutation(c.916C>T,***306*)in the coiled-coil domain containing 146(CCDC146)gene in an infertile male patient with *** mutation resulted in the production of a truncated CCDC146 protein(amino acids 1-305),retaining only two out of five coiled-coil *** validate the pathogenicity of the CCDC146 mutation,we generated a mouse model(Ccdc146^(mut/mut))with a similar mutation to that of the ***,the Ccdc146mut/mut mice exhibited infertility,characterized by significantly reduced sperm counts,diminished motility,and multiple defects in sperm heads and ***,the levels of axonemal proteins,including DNAH17,DNAH1,and SPAG6,were significantly reduced in the sperm of Ccdc146^(mut/mut) ***,both human and mouse CCDC146 interacted with intraflagellar transport protein 20(IFT20),but this interaction was lost in the mutated versions,leading to the degradation of *** study identified a novel deleterious homozygous nonsense mutation in CCDC146 that causes male infertility,potentially by disrupting axonemal protein *** findings offer valuable insights for genetic counseling and understanding the mechanisms underlying CCDC146 mutant-associated infertility in human males.

Effect of kappa distribution on the damping rate of the obliquely propagating magnetosonic mode

Data from spacecrafts suggest that space plasma has an abundance of suprathermal particles which are controlled by the spectral index κ when modeled on kappa particle velocity distribution. In this paper, considering homogeneous plasma, the effect of integer values of κ on the damping rate of an obliquely propagating magnetosonic（MS） wave is studied. The frequency of the MS wave is assumed to be less than ion cyclotron frequency, i.e.,iw（28）w. Under this assumption, the dispersion relation is investigated both numerically and analytically, and it is found that the real frequency of the wave is not a sensitive function of κ, but the imaginary part of the frequency is. It is also shown that for those values of κ where a large number of resonant particles participate in wave–particle interaction, the wave is heavily damped, as expected. The possible application of the results to the solar wind is discussed.

Alfvén waves in temperature anisotropic Cairns distributed plasma

The dispersion relations and Landau damping of Alfven waves in kinetic and inertial limits are studied in temperature anisotropic Cairns distributed *** the case of kinetic Alfven waves(KAWs),it is found that the real frequency is enhanced when either the electron perpendicular temperature or the non-thermal parameter A *** inertial Alfven waves(IAWs),the real frequency is slightly affected by the electron temperature anisotropy and *** the real frequency,the damping rate of KAWs is reduced when the electron perpendicular temperature or A *** the case of IAWs,the temperature anisotropy and A either enhance or reduce the damping rate depending upon the perpendicular *** results may be helpful to understand the dynamics of KAWs and IAWs in space plasmas where the non-Maxwellian distribution of particles are routinely observed.
