This work d.scribes the use of TiO_(2)nanotubes-based.electrod.s(TNT)mod.fied.with Cu_(2)O nanostructures and.gold.nanoparticles for the photoelectrored.ction of CO_(2)to prod.ce value-ad.ed.compound..A thin layer of polyd.pamine was used.as both an ad.erent agent and.an electron transfer med.ator,d.e to itsπ-conjugated.electron *** highest prod.ction yield.was achieved.using a TNT@Pd./Nc/Au40%electrod.,with Farad.ic efficiencies of 47.4%(110.5μM cm^(-2))and.27.8%(50.4μM cm^(-2))for methanol and.methane,*** performance of the photoelectrod.s was shown to be Cu_(2)O facet-d.pend.nt,with cubic structures lead.ng to greater conversion of CO_(2)to methanol(43%)and.methane(27%),compared.to the octahed.al morphology,while a higher percentage of metallic gold.on the nanostructured.Cu_(2)O surface was mainly important for *** functional theory(d.T)calculations supported.these find.ngs,attributing the superior photoelectrocatalytic performance of the TNT@Pd./Nc/Au40%electrod. for CH4generation to the formation of an OCH3intermed.ate bond.d.to Au *** using isotope-labeling and.analysis by gas chromatograph-mass(GC-MS)d.monstrated.that13CO_(2)was the source for photoelectrocatalytic generation of13CH3OH and.3CH313CH2OH.

Lithium-sulfur batteries are emerging as sustainable replacements for current lithium-ion *** commercial viability of this novel type of battery is still und.r d.bate d.e to the extensive use of highly reactive lithium-metal anod.s and.the complex electrochemistry of the sulfur *** this research,a novel sulfur-based.battery has been proposed.that eliminates the need.for metallic lithium anod.s and.other critical raw materials like cobalt and.graphite,replacing them with biomass-d.rived.*** approach presents numerous benefits,encompassing ample availability,cost-effectiveness,safety,and.environmental *** particular,two types of biochar-based.anod. electrod.s(non-activated.and.activated.biochar)d.rived.from spent common ivy have been investigated.as alternatives to metallic *** compared.their structural and.electrochemical properties,both of which exhibited.good.compatibility with the typical electrolytes used.in sulfur ***,while steam activation results in an increased.specific surface area,the non-activated.ivy biochar d.monstrates better performance than the activated.biochar,achieving a stable capacity of 400 mA h g^(−1)at 0.1 A g^(−1)and.a long lifespan(>400 cycles at 0.5 A g^(−1)).Our results d.monstrate that the presence of heteroatoms,such as oxygen and.nitrogen positively affects the capacity and.cycling performance of the *** led.to increased.d.spacing in the graphitic layer,a strong interaction with the solid.electrolyte interphase layer,and.improved.ion ***,the non-activated.biochar was successfully coupled.with a sulfur cathod. to fabricate lithium-metal-free sulfur batteries,d.livering a specific energy d.nsity of~600 Wh kg^(−1).

Abstract We stud. smoothness spaces of Morrey type on Rn and.characterise in d.tail those situa s,r n s n tions when such spaces of type Ap,q^s,r（Rn ） or A u^sp,q（R ） are not embed.ed.into L∞（R^n）. We can show that in the so-called.sub-critical, proper Morrey case their growth envelope function is always infinite which is a much stronger assertion. The same applies for the Morrey spaces Mu,p（Rn） with p 〈 u. This is the first result in this d.rection and.essentially contributes to a better und.rstand.ng of the structure of the above spaces.

d.sinfection by-prod.cts（d.Ps） are a complex mixture of compound. unintentionally formed.as a result of d.sinfection processes used.to treat d.inking water. Effects of long-term exposure to d.Ps are mostly unknown and.were the subject of recent epid.miological stud.es. However,most bioanalytical method. focus on a select few d.Ps. In this stud., a new comprehensive bioanalytical method.has been d.veloped.that can quantify mixtures of organic halogenated.compound., includ.ng d.Ps, in human urine as total organic chlorine（TOCl）, total organic bromine（TOBr）, and.total organic iod.ne（TOI）. The optimized.method.consists of urine d.lution, ad.orption to activated.carbon, pyrolysis of activated.carbon, absorption of gases in an aqueous solution, and.halid. analysis with ion chromatography and.ind.ctively coupled.plasma-mass spectrometry. Spike recoveries for TOCl, TOBr, and.TOI measurements ranged.between 78% and.99%. Average TOCl, TOBr, and.TOI concentrations in five urine samples from volunteers who consumed.tap water were 1850, 82, and.21.0 μg/L as X^-, *** who consumed.spring water（control） had.TOCl, TOBr, and.TOI average concentrations in urine of 1090, 88, and.10.3 μg/L as X^-, respectively. TOCl and.TOI in the urine samples from tap water consumers were higher than the control. However, TOBr was slightly lower in tap water urine samples compared.to mineral water urine samples, ind.cating other sources of environmental exposure other than d.inking water. A larger sample population that consumes tap water from d.fferent cities and.mineral water is need.d.to d.termine TOCl, TOBr, and.TOI exposure from d.inking water.

Lead.contamination in the City of Flint, MI has been well d.cumented.over the past two years, with lead.levels above the EPA Action Level until summer 2016. This resulted.from an ill-fated.d.cision to switch from d.troit water（Lake Huron） with corrosion control, to Flint River water without corrosion control. Although lead.levels are now closer to normal,reports of skin rashes have sparked.questions surround.ng tap water in some Flint *** stud. investigated.the presence of contaminants, includ.ng d.sinfection by-prod.cts（d.Ps）, in the hot tap water used.for showering in the homes of resid.nts in Flint. Extensive quantitative analysis of 61 regulated.and.priority unregulated.d.Ps was cond.cted.in Flint hot and.cold.tap water, along with the analysis of 50 volatile organic compound. and.a nontarget comprehensive, broad.creen analysis, to id.ntify a possible source for the reported.skin rashes. For comparison, chlorinated.hot and.cold.waters from three other cities were also sampled. includ.ng d.troit, which also uses Lake Huron as its source *** showed.that hot water samples generally contained.elevated.levels of regulated.and.priority unregulated.d.Ps compared.to cold.water samples, but trihalomethanes were still within regulatory limits. Overall, hot shower water from Flint was similar to waters sampled.from the three other cities and.d.d.not have unusually high levels of d.Ps or other organic chemicals that could.be responsible for the skin rashes observed.by resid.nts. It is possible that an inorganic chemical or microbial contaminant may be responsible.

Very recently, the Belle and.BESIII experiments observed.a new charmonium-like state X（3823）, which is a good.cand.d.te for tile d.wave charmonium （13d.）. Because the X（3823） is just near the d.＊ threshold. the d.cay X（3823）→J/ψπ＋π- can be a gold.n channel to test the significance of coupled.channel effects. In this work, this d.cay is consid.red.includ.ng both the hid.en-charm d.pion and.the usual quantum chromod.namics multipole expansion （QCd.E） contributions. The partial d.cay wid.h, the d.pion invari^nt mass spectrum d.stribution d.[X（3823） →J/ψπ＋π- /d.π＋π-, and.the correspond.ng d.[X（3823） →J/ψπ＋π-/d.cosθ d.stribution are computed. Many param- eters are d.termined.from exi：sting experimental d.ta, so the results d.pend.mainly only on one unknown phase between the QCd.E and.hid.en-charm d.pion amplitud.s.
