Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma(KIRC)is a malignant tumor that carries a substantial risk of morbidity and *** mmP family assumes a crucial role in tumor invasion and *** study aimed to uncover the mechanistic relevance of the mmP gene family as a therapeutic target and diagnostic biomarker in Kidney Renal Clear Cell Carcinoma(KIRC)through a comprehensive approach encompassing both computational and molecular ***,Cytoscape,UALCAN,GEPIA,OncoDB,HPA,cBioPortal,GSEA,TImER,ENCORI,DrugBank,targeted bisulfite sequencing(bisulfite-seq),conventional PCR,Sanger sequencing,and RT-qPCR based analyses were used in the present study to analyze mmP gene family members to accurately determine a few hub genes that can be utilized as both therapeutic targets and diagnostic biomarkers for *** performing STRING and Cytohubba analyses of the 24 mmP gene family members,mmP2(matrix metallopeptidase 2),mmP9(matrix metallopeptidase 9),mmP12(matrix metallopeptidase 12),and mmP16(matrix metallopeptidase 16)genes were denoted as hub genes having highest degree *** analyzing mmP2,mmP9,mmP12,and mmP16 via various TCGA databases and RT-qPCR technique across clinical samples and KIRC cell lines,interestingly,all these hub genes were found significantly overexpressed at mRNA and protein levels in KIRC samples relative to *** notable effect of the up-regulated mmP2,mmP9,mmP12,and mmP16 was also documented on the overall survival(OS)of the KIRC ***,targeted bisulfite-sequencing(bisulfite-seq)analysis revealed that promoter hypomethylation pattern was associated with up-regulation of hub genes(mmP2,mmP9,mmP12,and mmP16).In addition to this,hub genes were involved in various diverse oncogenic *** mmP gene family members(mmP2,mmP9,mmP12,and mmP16)may serve as therapeutic targets and prognostic biomarkers in KIRC.

Floristic Diversity in Forest management Units: Implications for Biodiversity Conservation in FmU 09-025

The assessment of floristic composition and diversity is very important in forest management units. This study sets out to determine the species diversity and implications for biodiversity conservation in FmU 09-025 of the Campo ma’an National park, South Region of Cameroon. Due to human activities in the area, the study site was divided into two Blocks (A and B). The transect method was employed in data collection. A total 14 long transects were established parallel to each other in blocks at a distance of 3 km apart, 8 transects in Block A and 6 Transects in Block. In each transect, plots of 20 × 500 m were established at intervals of 500 m. Within each plot, all individual trees ≥ 10 cm were identified, measured, and recorded. The DBH of all trees were measured at 1.3 using the DBH meter tape. The height of trees was measured through estimation (average estimates of all field researchers). Results revealed a total of eight thousand one hundred and twenty four (8124) individual plants with DBH ≥ 10 cm in the entire study area. From this number, 5113 tree stems ≥ 10 cm were identified and measured in Block A. This belongs to 216 species in 47 families. In block B a total of and 5011 stems were identified and measured. This belongs to 239 species in 47 families. Fabaceae, Annonaceae, Euphorbiaceae and Rubiaceae were found to be the most dominant plant families in the study site. Erythrophleum ivorense, Lophira alata, Dialium bipindense, musanga cecropioides, Alstonia boonei, Pterocarpus soyauxii, Guibourtia ehie, Staudtia kamerunensis, Desbordesia glaucescens, Sacoglottis gabonensis were found to be the most dominant plant species. 41 species are of conservation concern according to the IUCN global Red List 2023 and IUCN local status. These species are considered species with high-priority for conservation. We have 6 endangered species, 11 near Threatened species, and 25 vulnerable species. There was no significant difference in species diversity in the two Blocks.

The low survival rate of Kidney renal clear cell carcinoma(KIRC)patients is largely attributed to cisplatin *** than focusing solely on individual proteins,exploring protein-protein interactions could offer greater insight into drug *** this end,a series of in silico and in vitro experiments were conducted to identify hub genes in the intricate network of cisplatin resistance-related genes in KIRC *** genes involved in cisplatin resistance across KIRC were retrieved from the National Center for Biotechnology Information(NCBI)database using search terms as“Kidney renal clear cell carcinoma”and“Cisplatin resistance”.The genes retrieved were analyzed for hub gene identification using the STRING database and Cytoscape *** and promoter methylation profiling of the hub genes was done using UALCAN,GEPIA,OncoDB,and HPA ***,survival,functional enrichment,immune cell infiltration,and drug prediction analyses of the hub genes were performed using the cBioPortal,GEPIA,GSEA,TImER,and DrugBank ***,expression and methylation levels of the hub genes were validated on two cisplatin-resistant RCC cell lines(786-O and A-498)and a normal renal tubular epithelial cell line(HK-2)using two high throughput techniques,including targeted bisulfite sequencing(bisulfite-seq)and RT-qPCR.A total of 124 genes were identified as being associated with cisplatin resistance in *** of these genes,mCL1,IGF1R,CCND1,and PTEN were identified as hub genes and were found to have significant(pmRNA and protein expressions and effects on the overall survival(OS)of the KIRC ***,an aberrant promoter methylation pattern was found to be associated with the dysregulation of the hub *** addition to this,hub genes were also linked with different cisplatin resistance-causing ***,hub genes can be targeted with Alvocidib,Estradiol,Tretinoin,Capsaicin,Dronabinol,metribolone,Calcitriol

Surgical outcomes of complicated cataract with pediatric trematode granulomatous uveitis

AIm:To describe the clinical characteristics and surgical outcomes of complicated cataract with pediatric trematodal granulomatous uveitis(TGU).mETHODS:Patients of cataract with TGU in the membranous(inactive) stage underwent cataract surgery with intraocular lens(IOL) *** history and ophthalmic examination were conducted for all cases,whereas Schimphlug imaging and corneal topography were done for some *** follow up was done on the 1st,2nd,and 5th postoperative days after ***,it was done at least at one,three,and six months *** and postoperative complications and the methods of their management were ***:Twelve eyes of 12 male children were included in this study ranging from 8 to *** mean best corrected Snellen visual acuity(BCVA) was significantly improved from 0.09±0.06 preoperatively to 0.37±0.11 at the final visit 6mo postoperatively(Pmphlug imaging and corneal topography showed flattening of the anterior surface of the inferior *** difficulties and complications included the poor dilatability of the drown down pupil,strong posterior synechia between the anterior lens capsule and the iris at the site of the inferior retrocorneal vascularized membrane and *** cases underwent primary hydrophobic IOL ***:Surgery for this type of cataract is relatively safe and *** is associated with some specific difficulties and complications that should be considered during surgery and follow up.

Renewable energy has garnered attention due to the need for sustainable energy *** power has emerged as an alternative that has contributed to the transition towards cleaner *** the importance of wind energy grows,it can be crucial to provide forecasts that optimize its performance *** intelligence(AI)methods have risen in prominence due to how well they can handle complicated systems while enhancing the accuracy of *** study explored the area of AI to predict wind-energy production at a wind farm in Yalova,Turkey,using four different AI approaches:support vector machines(SVms),decision trees,adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference systems(ANFIS)and artificial neural networks(ANNs).Wind speed and direction were considered as essential input parameters,with wind energy as the target parameter,and models are thoroughly evaluated using metrics such as the mean absolute percentage error(mAPE),coefficient of determination(R~2),and mean absolute error(mAE).The findings accentuate the superior performance of the SVm,which delivered the lowest mAPE(2.42%),the highest R~2(0.95),and the lowest mAE(71.21%)compared with actual values,while ANFIS was less effective in this *** main aim of this comparative analysis was to rank the models to move to the next step in improving the least efficient methods by combining them with optimization algorithms,such as metaheuristic algorithms.

Biological treatments as a mean to improve feed utilization in agriculture animals——An overview

As a result of agriculture practices, million tons of agriculture are produced as a secondary or by-products; however, with low nutritive values. many methods are applied to improve the nutritive value and increase its utilization in ruminant＇s nutrition. The biological treatments are the most common with more safe-treated products. In most cases, the biological treatments are paralleled with decreased crude fiber and fiber fractions content with increased crude protein content. Direct-fed microbial and exogenous enzymes to animal are other ways of biological methods for improving nutritive value of feeds. Here in this review, we will try to cover the biological treatments of by-products from different sides view with different types of animals and different animal end-products.

Evaluation of rainwater harvesting and shrub establishment methods for sustainable watershed management in northern Afghanistan

Watershed rangelands in Northern Afghanistan provide various ecosystem services that support the local people's livelihoods,but they are now highly degraded essentially due to the continuous high grazing pressure and recurrent *** of shrub establishment method enhanced by water harvesting techniques to rehabilitate degraded rangelands have not been well *** main goal of this study was to evaluate the impact of direct seeding and transplanting of seedlings in combination with semi-circular bunds on growth,yield,and survival rate of four shrub species(Atriplex halimus,Atriplex nummularia,Atriplex lentiformis,andmaireana brevifolia)under semi-arid conditions of Sayyad village,Khulm *** rate(%),plant height,width,and plant length(cm)and plant cover(%)were measured for each plant over five occasions.A non-destructive reference unit was used to estimate biomass *** results showed that growth attributes and biomass production of shrubs were consistently greater in the transplanting compared to direct *** average,the plant length,width,height,volume,cover,and biomass production of transplanted shrubs were greater than direct-seeded shrubs by 24.3%,8.6%,8.7%,121.5%,13.8% and 34.1%,*** production of transplanted seedlings was the highest for ***(1313.5 g Dm/plant)and ***(800 g Dm/plant).There was a strong correlation between plant biomass production and plant volume(R^(2)_(Plant volume)=0.88)for the shrub ***,indicating that plant volume is a key variable for assessing biomass production for this ***,the survival rate of *** was 100% in both planting methods,suggesting that based on better survival this halophytic plant has great potential when restoring degraded ***,on the basis of better growth rates,yield,and survival,transplanting *** *** may enhance shrub establishment and contribute to the rehabilitation of slop

Effects of exogenous enzymes, Lactobacillus acidophilus or their combination on feed performance response and carcass characteristics of rabbits fed sugarcane bagasse

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of Lactobacillus acidophilus（LAC）, exogenous enzymes of ZAD（exogenous enzyme preparation） or their combination on feed conversion, and dressing of rabbits fed different treatments of sugarcane bagasse（SCB）. Five rations were allotted randomly to five groups of New-Zealand White（NZW） rabbits（n=10） with initial live body weight of（838±42.4） g and 5 weeks of age. Rabbits were fed on diets with different sources of fiber as follows,（i） a control diet composed of 100% berseem hay and 0% SCB,（ii） 50% berseem hay and 50% untreated SCB（USCB）,（iii） 50% berseem hay and 50% SCB treated with L. acidophilus（LAC）,（iv） 50% berseem hay and 50% SCB treated with ZAD（ZAD）, and（v） 50% berseem hay and 50% SCB treated with a combination of LAC＋ZAD（LZ）. Treatments of SCB with L. acidophilus, ZAD and LAC＋ZAD had the highest feed conversion ratio than both USCB and control. The dressing percentage of rabbits that fed the LAC and LZ diets was higher（P〈0.05） compared with that in the other groups. Performance index（PI） for LAC group was improved（P〈0.05） compared to that for the other groups; however, PI for USCB group was the lowest（P〈0.05）. It could be concluded that treating SCB with L. acidophilus, exogenous enzymes of ZAD or their combination improved feed conversion and performance with more positive effects with L. acidophilus than the other treatments.

A Brief Study on the Ignition of the Non-Thermal Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Jet from a Double Dielectric Barrier Configured Plasma Pencil

To understand the self sustained propagation of the plasma jet/bullet in air under atmospheric pressure, the ignition of the plasma jet/bullet, the plasma jet/bullet ignition point in the plasma pencil, the formation time and the formation criteria from a dielectric barrier configured plasma pencil were investigated in this study. The results were confirmed by comparing these results with the plasma jet ignition process in the plasma pencil without a dielectric barrier. Electrical, optical, and imaging techniques were used to study the formation of the plasma jet from the ignition of discharge in a double dielectric barrier configured plasma pencil. The investigation results show that the plasma jet forms at the outlet of the plasma pencil as a donut shaped discharge front because of the electric field line along the outlet＇s surface. It is shown that the required time for the formation of the plasma jet changes with the input voltage of the discharge. The input power calculation for the gap discharge and for the whole system shows that 56% of the average input power is used by the first gap discharge. The estimated electron density inside the gap discharge is in the order of 1011 cm^-3. If helium is used as a feeding gas, a minimum 1.48× 10^-8 C charge is required per pulse in the gap discharge to generate a plasma jet.
