Si-based photovoltaic solar power has been rapidly developed as a renewable and green energy *** widespread use of Sibased solar cells requires large amounts of solar-grade Si(SoG-Si)to manufacture Si *** routes,mainly the modified Siemens process,have dominated the preparation of polycrystalline SoG-Si;however,traditional chemical techniques employ a series of complex chemical reactions involving various corrosive and hazardous *** addition,large amounts of complex waste solar cells and Si kerf slurry waste gradually accumulate and are difficult to recycle using these *** methods are required to meet the demand for SoGSi preparation and Si waste *** metallurgical route shows promise but is hindered by the problem of eliminating B and P from metallurgical-grade Si(MG-Si).Various pyrometallurgical treatments have been proposed to enhance the removal of B and P from *** article reviews Si refining with slag treatment,chlorination,vacuum evaporation,and solvent refining,and summarizes and discusses the basic principles and recent representative studies of the four *** these,solvent refining is the most promising and environmentally friendly approach for obtaining low-cost SoG-Si and is a popular research ***,a simple and green approach,i.e.,a combination of solvent refining,slag treatment,or vacuum directional solidification,is proposed for low-cost SoG-Si preparation using MG-Si or Si wastes as raw materials.

Observation of the Two-Dimensional Distribution of Impurity Line Emissions Using a Space-Resolved EUV Spectrometer in LHD

A space-resolved EUV spectrometer for measuring the one-dimensional distribution of impurity line emissions in Large Helical Device （LHD） has been upgraded to measure two- dimensional distributions of impurity line emissions with an extension of working wavelength range to 30-650% The two-dimensional measurement is performed by scanning the observation chord horizontally. A rectangular plasma region of 520 × 700 mm2 in vertical and horizontal sizes can be observed during a single horizontal scan. The horizontal scan requires a time duration of 5 s at least. The spatial resolution is 10 mm in the vertical direction when a spatial-resolution slit of 0.2 mm in width is adopted. Although a spatial resolution in the toroidal direction is 75 mm, it is a function of CCD exposure time and horizontal scanning speed. Two-dimensional distribution of EUV line emissions from several impurities has been successfully observed for the first time from steady discharges in LHD. In this paper two-dimensional distributions of He II （303.78A）, C V （40.27A）, C VI （33.73A） and Fe XX （132.85A） located at different radial positions are presented with simple analysis on the magnetic field structure of LHD.

One-Dimensional Analysis of Supersonic Two-Stage HVOF Process

The one-dimensional calculation of the gas/particle flows of a supersonic two-stage high-velocity oxy-fuel(HVOF) thermal spray process was performed. The internal gas flow was solved by numerically integrating theequations of the quasi-one-dimensional flow including the effects of pipe friction and heat transfer. As for the supersonicjet flow, semi-empirical equations were used to obtain the gas velocity and temperature along the centerline. The velocity and temperature of the particle were obtained by an one-way coupling method. The material ofthe spray particle selected in this study is ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). The temperaturedistributions in the spherical UHMWPE particles of 50 and 150 m accelerated and heated by the supersonic gasflow was clarified.

Experimental Study on Shock Wave Structures in Constant-area Passage of Cold Spray Nozzle

Cold spray is a technique to make a coating on a wide variety of mechanical or electric parts by spraying solid particles accelerated through a high-speed gas flow in a converging-diverging nozzle. In this study, pseudo-shock waves in a modeled cold spray nozzle as well as high-speed gas jets are visualized by schlieren technique. The schlieren photographs reveals the supersonic flow with shock train in the nozzle. Static pressure along the barrel wall is also measured. The location of the head of pseudo-shock wave and its pressure distribution along the nozzle wall are analytically explained by using a formula of pseudo-shock wave. The analytical results show that the supersonic flow accompanying shock wave in the nozzle should be treated as pseudo-shock wave instead of normal shock wave.

Numerical Simulation on Supersonic Flow in High-Velocity Oxy-Fuel Thermal Spray Gun

This paper analyzes the behaviour of coating particles as well as the gas flow both inside and outside of the High-Velocity Oxy-Fuel （HVOF） thermal spray gun by using a quasi-one-dimensional analysis and a numerical simulation. The HVOF gun in the present analysis is an axially symmetric convergent-divergent nozzle with the design Math number of 2.0. From the present analysis, the distributions of veloeity and temperature of the coating particles flying inside and outside of the HVOF gun are predicted. The velocity and temperature of the coating particles at the exit of the gun calculated by the present method agree well with the previous experimental results. Therefore, the present method of calculation is considered to be useful for predicting the HVOF gas and particle flows.

This paper analyzes the behavior of coating particle as Well as the gas flow both of inside and outside the High-Velocity Oxy-Fuel (HVOF) thermal spraying gun by using quasi-one-dimensional analysis and numerical simulation. The HVOF gun in the present analysis is an axisymmetric convergent-divergent nozzle with the design Mach number of 2.0 followed by a straight passage called barrel. In the present analysis it is assumed that the influence of the particles injected in the gas flow is neglected, and the interaction between the particles is also neglected. The gas flow in the gun is assumed to be quasi-one-dimensional adiabatic flow. The velocity, temperature and density of gas in the jet discharged from the barrel exit are predicted by solving Navier-Stokes equations numerically. The particle equation of motion is numerically integrated using three-step Runge-Kutta method. The drag coefficient of the particle is calculated by linear interpolation of the experimental data obtained in the past. Particle mean temperature is calculated by using Ranz and Marchalls' correlation for spherical particles. From the present analysis, the distributions of velocity and temperature of the coating particles flying inside and outside the HVOF gun are predicted.

4-Aminophenylalanine(4APhe),an exotic amino acid which is obtained as a microorganism metabolite of glucose,is polycondensed with various tetracarboxylic dianhydrides as a diamine monomer to obtain poly(amic acid)*** thermal imidization of poly(amic acid)s is made at 220°C with stepwise heating from 100°*** of the obtained polyimides(PIs)exhibited good solubility in organic solvents such as N,N-dimethylformamide,N.N dimethylacetamide,and *** progress of imidization was observed by proton nuclear magnetic resonance and infrared spectroscopy to confrm that the imidization ratio was up to 98%.Carboxylate group of the side-chains of PIs affected their solubilities despite the high imidization ratio,and the solubility was lost for any organic solvents by decarboxylation at 280。C,confirmed from mass-loss of thermogravimetric ***,a new series of PIs were obtained with abilities of solvent-molding in PI state and thermal resistivityt enhancement by further heating after molding.

Homogeneity tests on neutron shield concrete

In recent years, neutrons have been studied for application in fields such as material analysis and boron neutron capture therapy. To create a compact shield for these facilities, a neutron shield concrete is developed. Verifying the homogeneity of the concrete is important to ensure adequate shielding performance. In this research, neutron radiography images of the concrete are taken using the Thermal Neutron Radiography Facility (TNRF) of the JRR-3 research reactor, and the transmission ratio of the thermal neutrons were estimated. The results showed that the transmission ratio of the concrete was almost the same at each depth.

Efficacy of forced coagulation with low high-frequency power setting during endoscopic submucosal dissection

To investigated the hemostatic ability of the S and F1-10 methods in clinical and ex vivo studies. METHODSThe hemostatic abilities of the two methods were analyzed retrospectively in all six gastric endoscopic submucosal dissection cases. The treated vessel diameter, compressed vessel frequency, and bleeding frequency after cutting the vessels were noted by the recorded videos. The coagulation mechanism of the two power settings was evaluated using the data recording program and histological examination on macro- and microscopic levels in the ex vivo experiments using porcine tissues. RESULTSF1-10 method showed a significantly better hemostatic ability for vessels ≥ 2 mm in diameter and a trend of overall better coagulation effect, evaluated by the bleeding rate after cutting the vessels. F1-10 method could sustain electrical current longer and effectively coagulate the tissue wider and deeper than the S method in the porcine model. CONCLUSIONF1-10 method is suggested to achieve a stronger hemostatic effect than the S method in clinical procedures and ex vivo models.
