In this editorial we provide commentary on the article published by Wang et al,featured in the recent issue of the World Journal of Gastroenterology in *** focus on the metadherin(MTDH),also known as astrocyte elevated gene-1 or lysine rich cEAcAM1,and its effects on cancer stem cells(cscs)and immunity in hepatocellular carcinoma(Hcc).Hcc is the most common primary liver cancer and one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths *** Hcc cases develop in the context of liver *** the pivotal mechanisms of carcinogenesis are gene mutations,dysregulation of diverse signaling pathways,epigenetic alterations,hepatitis B virus-induced hepatocarcinogenesis,chronic inflammation,impact of tumor microenvironment,oxidative *** the years,extensive research has been conducted on the MTDH role in various tumor pathologies,such as lung,breast,ovarian,gastric,hepatocellular,colorectal,renal carcinoma,neuroblastoma,melanoma,and ***,its involvement in tumor development processes including transformation,apoptosis evasion,angiogenesis,invasion,and metastasis via multiple signaling *** has been demonstrated that knockdown or knockout of MTDH disrupt tumor development and *** addition,numerous reports have been carried out regarding the MTDH influence on Hcc,demonstrating its role as a predictor of poor prognosis,aggressive tumor phenotypes prone to metastasis and recurrence,and exhibiting significant potential for therapy ***,more studies finely investigated the influence of MTDH on *** cscs are a small subpopulation of tumor cells that sharing traits with normal stem cells like self-renewal and differentiation abilities,alongside a high plasticity that alters their *** their presumed role in tumor initiation,they can drive also disease relapse,metastasis,and resistance to chemo and radiotherapy.

The Ti-45Nb (mass%) alloy’s corrosive and biocompatible response in simulated physiological conditions was investigated before and after its additional high-pressure torsion (HPT) and laser irradiation processing. The grain size reduction from 2.76 µm to ~ 200 nm and the appearance of laser-induced morphologically altered and highly oxidized surface led to the significant improvement of alloy corrosion resistance and cell–implant interaction. Moreover, an additional increase of the laser pulse energy from 5 to 15 mJ during the alloy irradiation in the air led to an increase in the surface oxygen content from 13.64 to 23.89% accompanied by an increase of excellent cell viability from 127.18 to 134.42%. As a result of the controlled alloy microstructural and surface modifications, the formation of protective bi-modal mixed Ti- and Nb-oxide external scale was enabled. The presence of this surface oxide scale enhanced the alloy’s resistance to corrosion deterioration and simultaneously boosted cell viability and proliferation.

Assessment of rock mass quality significantly impacts the design and construction of underground and open-pit mines from the point of stability and *** study develops the novel Gromov-Hausdorff distance for rock quality(GHDQR)methodology for rock mass quality rating based on multi-criteria grey metric *** usually presents the quality of surrounding rock by classes(metric spaces)with specified properties and adequate interval-grey *** the distance between surrounding rock sample characteristics and existing classes represents the core of this *** Gromov-Hausdorff distance is an especially useful discriminant function,i.e.,a classifier to calculate these distances,and assess the quality of the surrounding *** efficiency of the developed methodology is analyzed using the Mean Absolute Percentage Error(MAPE)*** existing methods,such as the Gaussian cloud method,Discriminant method,Mutation series method,Artificial neural network(ANN),support vector machine(sVM),Grey wolf optimizer and support vector classification method(GWO-sVc)and Rock mass rating method(RMR)are used for comparison with the proposed GHDQR *** share of the highly accurate category of 85.71%clearly indicates compliance with actual values obtained by the compared *** results of comparisons showed that the model enables objective,efficient,and reliable assessment of rock mass quality.

BAcKGROUND Women with a history of serious psychotic disorders are at increased risk of disease relapse during ***-acting injectable(LAI)antipsychotics have been widely used to improve adherence and prevent relapse in patients with various severe psychotic disorders,but there is a lack of high-quality data from previous research on the safety of LAI antipsychotics during *** To summarize relevant data on maternal,pregnancy,neonatal,and developmental outcomes from published cases of LAI antipsychotic use in *** A literature search was performed through November 11,2023,using three online databases:PubMed/MEDLINE,scopus,and Web of *** reports or case series that reported information about the outcomes of pregnancy in women who used LAI antipsychotics at any point in pregnancy,with available full texts,were *** statistics,narrative summation,and tabulation of the extracted data were *** A total of 19 publications satisfied the inclusion criteria:3 case series,15 case reports,and 1 conference *** reported the outcomes of LAI antipsychotic use in 74 women and 77 *** use of secondgeneration LAI antipsychotics was reported in the majority(n=47;61.0%)of ***-generation LAI antipsychotics were administered during 30 pregnancies(39.0%).Most of the women(approximately 64%)had either satisfactory control of symptoms or no information about relapse,while approximately 12%of them had developed gestational diabetes mellitus.A minority of cases reported adverse outcomes such as stillbirth,spontaneous abortion,preterm birth,low birth weight,congenital anomalies,and neurological manifestations in ***,there were no reports of negative long-term developmental *** currently available data seem reassuring,but further well-designed studies are required to properly evaluate the risks and benefits of LAI antipsychotic use during pregnancy.

Meso-Neoarchean fuchsite quartzites are present in different stratigraphic positions of Dharwar craton including the oldest(~3.3 Ga)sargur Group of western Dharwar *** present study deals with the petro-graphic and geochemical characteristics of the fuchsite quartzites from the Ghattihosahalli belt to evaluate their genesis,depositional setting and the enigma involved in the ancient sedimentation *** major mineral assemblages include quartz,fuchsite,and feldspars along with accessory kyanite and *** geochemical com-positions are characterized by high siO_(2),Al_(2)O_(3),low MgO,caO,strongly enriched cr(1326–6899 ppm),Ba(1165–3653 ppm),sr(46–210 ppm),V(107–868 ppm)and Zn(11–158 ppm)contents compared to the upper continental crust(Ucc).The Ucc normalized rare earth element(REE)patterns are characterized by depleted light REE[(La/sm)Ucc=0.33–0.95]compared to heavy REE[(Gd/Yb)_(Ucc)=0.42–1.65]with conspicuous positive Eu-anomalies(Eu/Eu^(*)=1.35–18.27)characteristic of hydrothermal solutions evidenced through the interlayered *** overall major and trace element systematics reflect a combined mafic-felsic provenance and suggest their deposition at a passive continental margin *** comprehensivefield,petrographic,and geo-chemical studies indicate that these quartzites are infiltrated by cr-richfluids released during high-grade metamorphism of associated ultramafic *** sargur and the subse-quent Dharwar orogeny amalgamated diverse lithounits from different tectonic settings,possibly leading to the release of cr-richfluids and the formation of fuchsite quartzite during or after the *** sug-gest a pre-existing stable crust prior to the sargur Group and the link between orogenic events and various mineral deposits in the Dharwar craton.

star-forming processes strongly influence the IsM ***,many high-quality databases are available at millimeter *** them,it is possible to carry out studies that review and deepen previous *** these studies involve large samples of sources,it is preferred to use direct tools to study the molecular *** the aim of testing these tools such as the use of the HcN/HNc ratio as a thermometer,and the use of H^(13)cO^(+),Hc_(3)N,N_(2)H^(+) and c_(2)H as "chemical clocks," we present a molecular line study toward 55 sources representing massive young stellar objects at different evolutionary stages:infrared dark clouds(IRDcs),highmass protostellar objects(HMPOs),hot molecular cores(HMcs) and ultracompact H II *** found that the use of the HcN/HNc ratio as a universal thermometer in the IsM should be taken with care because the HcN optical depth is a big issue that can affect the ***,this tool should be utilized only after a careful analysis of the HcN spectrum,checking that no line,neither the main nor the hyperfine ones,presents absorption *** point out that the analysis of the emission of H^(13)cO^(+),Hc_(3)N,N_(2)H^(+) and c_(2)H could be useful to trace and distinguish regions among IRDcs,HMPOs and *** molecular line widths of these four species increase from the IRDc to the HMc stage,which can be a consequence of the gas dynamics related to the starforming processes taking place in the molecular *** results not only contribute with more statistics,acting as a probe of such chemical tools,useful to obtain information in large samples of sources,but also complement previous works through the analysis of other types of sources.

A chemo-mechanical model is developed to investigate the effects on the stress development of the coating of polycrystalline Ni-rich LiNixMnyco_(z)O_(2)(x≥0.8)(NMc)particles with poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOT).The simulation results show that the coating of primary NMc particles significantly reduces the stress generation by efficiently accommodating the volume change associated with the lithium diffusion,and the coating layer plays roles both as a cushion against the volume change and a channel for the lithium transport,promoting the lithium distribution across the secondary particles more ***,the lower stiffness,higher ionic conductivity,and larger thickness of the coating layer improve the stress *** paper provides a mathematical framework for calculating the chemo-mechanical responses of anisotropic electrode materials and fundamental insights into how the coating of NMc active particles mitigates stress levels.

We apply the local method of fundamental solutions (LMFs) to boundary value problems (BVPs) for the Laplace and homogeneous biharmonic equations in annuli. By appropriately choosing the collocation points, the LMFs discretization yields sparse block circulant system matrices. As a result, matrix decomposition algorithms (MDAs) and fast Fourier transforms (FFTs) can be used for the solution of the systems resulting in considerable savings in both computational time and storage requirements. The accuracy of the method and its ability to solve large scale problems are demonstrated by applying it to several numerical experiments.
