Experimental scratch tests and first-principles calculations were used to investigate the adhesion property of AlCrNbSiTi high-entropy alloy(HEA)coatings on zirconium *** HEA and Cr coatings were deposited on Zr alloy substrates using multi-arc ion plating technology,and scratch tests were subsequently conducted to estimate the adhesion property of the *** results indicated that Cr coatings had better adhesion strength than HEA coatings,and the HEA coatings showed *** special quasi-random structure approach was used to build HEA models,and Cr/Zr and HEA/Zr interface models were employed to investigate the cohesion between the coatings and Zr substrate using first-principles *** calculated interface energies showed that the cohesion between the Cr coating and the Zr substrate was stronger than that of the HEA coating with *** contrary to Al or Si in the HEA coating,Cr,Nb,and Ti atoms binded strongly with Zr *** on the calculated elastic constants,it was found that low Cr and high Al content decreased the mechanical performances of HEA ***,this study demonstrated the utilization of a combined approach involving first-principles calculations and experimental studies for future HEA coating development.

At high temperature,the chemical reaction mechanism at the interface of magnetite and the influence mechanism of gangue element Al on the oxidation performance of magnetite are not *** addition,due to the limitation of existing experimental equipment,it is difficult to clarify the interface reaction mechanism in the oxidation process and the influence mechanism of Al on the surface oxidation reaction of Fe_(3)O_(4) at an atomic scale at high *** surface oxidation reaction mechanism of magnetite and the influence mechanism of Al on the oxidation of magnetite were studied by experiments and AIMD(ab initio molecular dynamics).The experimental results show that the existence of Al_(2)O_(3) will reduce the initial oxidation temperature and comprehensive oxidation performance of *** AIMD results show that aluminum can accelerate the interface reaction rate of Fe_(3)O_(4) in the high-temperature oxidation atmosphere,but the strong Al-O binding ability is not conducive to the transfer of O atoms in the oxidation process.

Cuproptosis,a novel mechanism of programmed cell death,has not been fully explored in the context of spermatogenic *** investigated the potential involvement of cuproptosis in spermatogenic cell death using a mouse model of copper *** male Institute of Cancer Research(ICR)mice were randomly divided into four groups that received daily oral gavage withsodium chloride(control)or copper sulfate(CuSO_(4))at 50 mg kg^(−1),100 mg kg^(−1),or 200 mg kg^(−1),for 42 consecutive *** to copper overload exhibited a disruption in copper ***,significant upregulated expression of keycuproptosis factors was accompanied by a significant rise in the rates of testicular tissue cell *** revealed the presence of ferredoxin 1(Fdx1)in Sertoli cells,Leydig cells,and spermatogenic cells at various stages oftesticular development,and the Fdx1-positive staining area was significantly increased in copper-overloaded *** and decreased adenosine triphosphate levels were also observed,further implicating mitochondrial damage *** analyses revealed pathological lesions and blood−testis barrier destruction in the testicular tissue,accompaniedby decreased sperm concentration and motility,in copper-overloaded *** summary,our results indicate that copper-overloadedmice exhibit copper homeostasis disorder in the testicular tissue and that cuproptosis participates in spermatogenic cell *** findings provide novel insights into the pathogenic mechanisms underlying spermatogenic cell death and provide initialexperimental evidence for the occurrence of cuproptosis in the testis.

Background:The outbreak of Ebola virus disease(EVD)in West Africa between 2014 and 2015 was the largest EDV epidemic since the identification of Ebola virus(EBOV)in 1976,and the countries most strongly affected were Sierra Leone,Guinea,and ***:The Sierra Leone-China Friendship Biological Safety Laboratory(SLE-CHN Biosafety Lab),a fixed Biosafety Level 3 laboratory in the capital city of Sierra Leone,was established by the Chinese government and has been active in EBOV detection since 11 March *** management and program documents were created for the SLE-CHN Biosafety Lab,and it was divided into four zones(the green,yellow,brown,and red zones)based on the risk *** types of safe and appropriate personnel protection equipment(PPE)are used in different zones of the laboratory,and it fully meets the Biosafety Level 3 laboratory standards of the World Health ***:Good preparedness,comprehensive risk assessment and operation documents,appropriate PPE,effective monitoring and intensive training,together with well-designed and reasonable laboratory sectioning are essential for guaranteeing biosafety.

Vehicles operating in space need to withstand extreme thermal and electromagnetic environments in light of the burgeoning of space science and *** is imperatively desired to high insulation materials with lightweight and extensive mechanical ***,a boron-silica-tantalum ternary hybrid phenolic aerogel(BSiTa-PA)with exceptional thermal stability,extensive mechanical strength,low thermal conductivity(49.6 mW m^(-1)K^(-1)),and heightened ablative resistance is prepared by an expeditious *** extremely thermal erosion,the obtained carbon aerogel demonstrates noteworthy electromagnetic interference(Emi)shielding performance with an efficiency of 31.6 dB,accompanied by notable loading property with specific modulus of 272.8 kN·m kg^(-1).This novel design concept has laid the foundation for the development of insulation materials in more complex extreme environments.
