Four-dimensional direct detection receiver enabling Jones-space field recovery with phase and polarization diversity

Data centers,the engines of the global Internet,rely on powerful high-speed optical *** optical fiber communication,classic direct detection captures only the intensity of the optical field,while the coherent detection counterpart utilizes both phase and polarization diversities at the expense of requiring a narrow-linewidth and high-stability local oscillator(LO).Herein,we propose and demonstrate a four-dimensional Jones-space optical field recovery(4-D JSFR)scheme without an *** polarization-diverse full-field receiver structure captures information encoded in the intensity and phase of both polarizations,which can be subsequently extracted *** our knowledge,our proposed receiver achieves the highest electrical spectral efficiency among existing direct detection systems and potentially provides similar electrical spectral efficiency as standard intradyne coherent detection *** fully recovered optical field extends the transmission distance beyond the limitations imposed by fiber chromatic ***,the LO-free advantage makes 4-D JSFR suitable for photonic integration,offering a spectrally efficient and cost-effective solution for massively parallel data center *** results may contribute to the ongoing developments in the theory of optical field recovery and the potential design considerations for future high-speed optical transceivers.

Digital twin modeling and controlling of optical power evolution enabling autonomous-driving optical networks:a Bayesian approach

Optical networks are evolving toward ultrawide bandwidth and autonomous *** this scenario,it is crucial to accurately model and control optical power evolutions(OPEs)through optical amplifiers(OAs),as they directly affect the signal-to-noise ratio and fiber ***,a fundamental contradiction arises between the complex physical phenomena in optical transmission and the required precision in network *** theoretical methods underperform due to ideal assumptions,while data-driven approaches entail exorbitant costs associated with acquiring massive amounts of data to achieve the desired level of *** this work,we propose a Bayesian inference framework(BIF)to construct the digital twin of OAs and control OPE in a data-efficient *** the informative data are collected to balance the exploration and exploitation of the data space,thus enabling efficient autonomous-driving optical networks(ADONs).Simulations and experiments demonstrate that the BIF can reduce the data size for modeling erbium-doped fiber amplifiers by 80%and Raman amplifiers by 60%.Within 30 iterations,the optimal controlling performance can be achieved to realize target signal/gain profiles in links with different types of *** results show that the BIF paves the way to accurately model and control OPE for future ADONs.

The control of large deformation problems in layered soft rock tunnels needs to solve *** roof problem is particularly severe among the deformation issues in *** study first analyzes the asymmetric deformation modes in layered soft rock tunnels with large ***,we construct a mechanical model under ideal conditions for controlling the roof of layered soft rock tunnels through high preload with the support of NPR anchor *** prominent roles of long and short NPR anchor cables in the support system are also *** results indicate the significance of high preload in controlling the roof of layered soft rock *** short NPR anchor cables effectively improve the integrity of the stratified soft rock layers,while the long NPR anchor cables effectively mobilize the self-bearing capacity of deep-stable rock ***,the high-preload support method with NPR anchor cables is validated to have a good effect on controlling large deformations in layered soft rock tunnels through field monitoring data.

Recently,many efforts have been dedicated to construct artificial catalysts with enzyme-like ***,it is still a big challenge to endow artificial catalysts with specific substrate *** this study,we developed a facile strategy to construct a MIL-53(Fe)-based nanocatalyst with designable selectivity in the degradation of oxytetracycline(OTC).Through the Fe–O–P conjunction,oxytetracycline aptamer(OA)can be easily anchored on MIL-53(Fe)to provide the specific site for OTC *** verified that the obtained MIL-53(Fe)-Apt nanocatalyst displayed enhanced catalytic ability in the degradation of OTC,whereas obvious suppression toward other substrate *** performance therefore brings about an anticipated selectivity toward ***,we highlighted that the configuration of aptamers on MIL-53(Fe)can be modulated through varying conjunction ***–function analysis revealed that aptamer configuration affects the local concentration of substrate around catalytic site,which thus decides the catalytic performance toward *** work presented a facile and promising strategy for developing artificial catalysts with designable selectivity.

Accurate crop row recognition of maize at the seedling stage using lightweight network

Accurate extraction of crop row is very important for automation of agricultural *** rows are required for accurate machine guidance in agricultural production such as fertilization,plant protection,weeding and *** this study,an efficient crop row detection algorithm called Crop-BiSeNet V2 was proposed,which combined BiSeNet V2 with a spatial convolutional neural *** proposed Crop-BiSeNet V2 detected crop rows in color images without the use of threshold and other pre-information such as number of rows.A data set had 2697 maize crop images was constructed in challenging field trial conditions such as variable light,shadows,presence of weeds,and irregular crop *** proposed system was experimentally determined to overcome the interference of different complex *** it can be applied to crop rows of different numbers,straight lines and *** analyses were performed to check the robustness of the *** this algorithm with the fully Convolutional Networks(FCN)algorithm,it exhibited superior performance and saved 84.85 *** accuracy rate reached 0.9811,and the detection speed reached 65.54 ms/*** Crop-BiSeNet V2 algorithm proposed in this study show strong generalization performance for seedling crop row *** provides high-reliability technical support for crop row detection research and assists in the study of intelligent field operation machinery navigation.

Lactobacillus are considered promising therapeutic methods for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).The effects of two strains of Ltmosilactobacillus mucosae on NAFLD were investigated in this ***-old male C57BL/6J mice were divided into 4 groups(n=8 per group,Control,Model,FZJTZ26M3,FGSYC17L3).*** FZJTZ26M3 reduced the mice 's body weight,liver weight,and adipose tissue weight after 12 weeks of *** to serum analysis,total cholesterol,triacylglycerol,and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol significantly decreased after *** FZJTZ26M3 *** pathology showed that *** FZJTZ26M3 was effective to ameliorate lipid deposition in NAFLD ***,the expression of the gene related to lipid metabolism in the liver and adipose tissue was analyzed,and the results indicated that *** FZJTZ26M3 could alleviate NAFLD by regulating lipid ***,the results of 16S rRNA gene sequencing revealed a drop in the relative abundance of Ruminococcaceae,which is linked to inflammation,but the relative abundance of a potential probiotic Akkermansia significantly increased after *** FZJTZ26M3 ***,*** FZJTZ26M3 could be a candidate to prevent NAFLD.

Reversal of tamoxifen resistance by artemisinin in ER+breast cancer:bioinformatics analysis and experimental validation

Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in women worldwide,with Hormone Receptor(HR)+being the predominant ***(TAM)serves as the primary treatment for HR+breast ***,drug resistance often leads to recurrence,underscoring the need to develop new therapies to enhance patient quality of life and reduce recurrence ***(ART)has demonstrated efficacy in inhibiting the growth of drug-resistant cells,positioning art as a viable option for counteracting endocrine *** study explored the interaction between artemisinin and tamoxifen through a combined approach of bioinformatics analysis and experimental *** characterized genes(ar,cdkn1a,erbb2,esr1,hsp90aa1)and seven drug-disease crossover genes(cyp2e1,rorc,mapk10,glp1r,egfr,pgr,mgll)were identified using WGCNA crossover *** functional enrichment analyses were *** findings confirm a significant correlation between key cluster gene expression and immune cell infiltration in tamoxifen-resistant and-sensitized ***-seq analysis revealed high expression of key cluster genes in epithelial cells,suggesting artemisinin’s specific impact on tumor cells in estrogen receptor(ER)-positive BC *** target docking and in vitro experiments with artemisinin on LCC9 cells demonstrated a reversal effect in reducing migratory and drug resistance of drug-resistant cells by modulating relevant drug resistance *** results indicate that artemisinin could potentially reverse tamoxifen resistance in ER-positive breast cancer.

The present work aims to create lattice distortion and optimize the surface oxygen vacancy(OV)concentration in a model spinel(Co_(0.2)Cr_(0.2)Fe_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)Ni_(0.2))_(3)O_(4)high-entropy oxide(HEO)through a heteroatom La^(3+)doping *** demonstrated,La^(3+)with a large radius can be doped successfully into the spinel lattice of(Co_(0.2)Cr_(0.2)Fe_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)Ni_(0.2))_(3)O_(4),thereby not only causing lattice distortion to increase oxygen vacancies but also refining crystalline grains and improving the specific *** with the(Co_(0.2)Cr_(0.2)Fe_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)Ni_(0.2))_(3)O_(4)anode,the(La0.01CoCrFeMnNi)3/5.01O4 anode with moderate doping exhibits excellent cycling performance(1228 mAh·g^(−1)after 400 cycles at 0.2 A·g^(−1))and yields an increase of 75%rate capability at 3 A·g^(−1)(420 mAh·g^(−1)at 3 A·g^(−1)).The desirable kinetic transport of electrons and diffusion of Li+within the moderately La^(3+)-doped anode and the synergistic interfacial pseudocapacitive behavior satisfy the redox reaction at a high rate,thus increasing rate capability.

In this tutorial paper, we explore the field of quantized feedback control, which has gained significant attention due to the growing prevalence of networked control systems. These systems require the transmission of feedback information, such as measurements and control signals, over digital networks, presenting novel challenges in estimation and control design. Our examination encompasses various topics, including the minimal information needed for effective feedback control, the design of quantizers, strategies for quantized control design and estimation,achieving consensus control with quantized data, and the pursuit of high-precision tracking using quantized measurements.

Differential Gene Expression Between Cross-Fertilized and Self-Fertilized Kernels During the Early Stages of Seed Development in Wheat

In order to understand molecular basis of cross-fertilized kernel advantage and heterosis, improved differential display of mRNA was used in this study to analyze alterations in gene expression between cross-fertilized and self-fertilized kernels at 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 days after pollination (DAP) by using 3 wheat hybrids with different level of heterosis. Four patterns of differential expression were observed: (i) bands observed in cross-fertilized kernels but not in self-fertilized kernels (BCnS); (ii) bands occurring in only self-fertilized kernels but not in cross-fertilized kernels (BSnC); (iii) cDNA over-expressed in cross-fertilized kernels compared to self-fertilized kernels (OEC); (iv) cDNA under-expressed in cross-fertilized kernels compared to self-fertilized kernels (UEC). further analysis showed that BCnS is positively correlated with heterosis, but BSnC is negatively correlated with heterosis. Four differentially expressed cDNA fragments were verified by reverse-northern blot and sequence homology search in GenBank showed that one of them was new sequences; the other exhibited higher similarity to NBS-LRR type resistance protein, 1,6-bisphosphatase and photosystem Ⅱ chlorophyll a-binding protein psbB, respectively, which indicated diverse pathways may be involved in heterosis formation.
