HLA-G expression in the peripheral blood of live kidney transplant recipients

Background The human leukocyte antigen-G （HLA-G） has been considered to be an important tolerogeneic molecule playing an essential role in maternal-fetal tolerance, upregulated in the context of transplantation, malignancy, and inflammation, and has been correlated with various clinical outcomes. The aim of this study was to investigate the clinical relevance of the expression of membrane HLA-G （mHLA-G）, intracellular HLA-G （iHLA-G）, and soluble HLA-G （sHLA-G） in the peripheral blood of live kidney transplant recipients. Methods We compared the expression of the three HLA-G isoforms in three groups, healthy donors （n=20）, recipients with acute rejection （n=19）, and functioning transplants （n=30）. Flow cytometry was used to detect the expression of mHLA-G and iHLA-G in the T lymphocytes of peripheral blood from subjects in the three groups. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays were used to detect sHLA-G in the plasma from the three groups. Results There were no significant differences in mHLA-G and intracellular HLA-G among the three groups, but the sHLA-G plasma level was higher in the functioning group than in the acute rejection or healthy group. We found a subset of CD4＊HLA-G~ and CD8~HLA-G＋T lymphocytes with low rates of mHLA-G expression in the peripheral blood of kidney transplantation recipients. Intracellular expression of HLA-G was detected in T lymphocytes. However, there was no correlation between acute rejection and the mHLA-G or intracellular HLA-G expression. Conclusion sHLA-G was the major isoform in the peripheral blood of live kidney transplant recipients and high sHLA-G levels were associated with allograft acceptance.

Genome characterization of the Caprine arthritis-encephalitis virus in China:A retrospective genomic analysis of the earliest Chinese isolates

Caprine arthritis-encephalitis virus(CAEV) is an under-studied virus infecting caprines and ovines worldwide. Over the last four decades, CAEV has spread in China, obtaining genomic data on CAEV strains circulating in China is of importance for developing diagnostic methods and eradicating associated diseases. However, there is limited information on the genome, including characterizations, and the probable origin. This work aimed to characterize Chinese CAEV genomes and population structures. Five CAEV strains isolated from infected dairy goats between 1989and 1994 in Gansu, Guizhou, Shaanxi, Shandong and Sichuan provinces were cloned and sequenced. The Chinese CAEV had a 58–93% genome similarities to strains outside of China, and they belonged to subgenotype B1. The highest similarity levels(98.3–99.3%) were with two other Chinese strains, and they shared a 91.8–92.3% similarity with the strain Clements(GenBank accession no. NC_001463.1) from outside of China. The Chinese CAEV strains isolated from different provinces over five years were still highly homologous and contained unique ancestral population components,indicating that these Chinese strains had a common origin that differed from other known strains. Our results provide genomic data on circulating Chinese CAEV strains and will be useful for future epidemiological investigations and CAEV eradication programs.

This work presents simple post-treatment methods to selectively and partially remove the Pd core of Pd-Pt core–shell(Pt@Pd/C)*** proton exchange membrane fuel cell with the post-treated Pt@Pd/C cathode(Pt loading:0.10 mg·cm^(-2))delivers an impressive peak power density of 1.2 W·cm^(-2).The partial removal of Pd core endows an ultrahigh oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)mass activity of 0.32 A·g_(PGM)-1 when normalized to the platinum group metal(PGM)mass,or equivalently 0.55 A·mg_(Pt)^(-1) at 0.9 V measured in a fuel *** post-treatment thickens the Pt shells and mitigates the Pd dissolution during potential *** a result,the post-treated core-shell catalyst demonstrates superior durability in ORR mass activity and polarization power density retention than untreated core-shell catalyst and benchmark Pt/***-situ inductively coupled plasmamass spectrometry(ICP-MS)results highlight that the amount of dissolved Pd in post-treated core–shell catalyst is 17-times lower than that of the untreated *** findings highlight the importance of structural tuning of catalysts in enhancing their mass activity and durability.

Multiscale spatiotemporal meteorological drought prediction:A deep learning approach

煤与生物质共热解作为实现这两种含碳资源高效清洁利用的重要技术路径,对实现碳中和目标有重要意义。本文旨在探究水蒸气辅助下,不同条件对煤与生物质共热解制备高值可燃气体(H_(2)、CH_(4)、CO)的影响。在大型回转炉中,探究了褐煤与玉米秸秆共热解及水蒸气辅助共热解温度、掺混比对H_(2)、CH_(4)、CO产气量和热值的影响,并通过Aspen Plus搭建热解模型对其进行验证。实验及仿真结果表明:秸秆与褐煤存在明显的协同效应,无水蒸气时最佳产气条件可燃气热值超过3000 J/L(热解温度600℃,秸秆掺混比80%)。水蒸气条件下,促进了共热解可燃气高热值组分H_(2)、CH_(4)、CO的生成,最佳条件下可燃气热值提升88%达到5639 J/L(热解温度800℃,秸秆掺混比80%)。

Solar vapor generation is a promising sustainable technology that uses solar distillation to produce fresh water from seawater and wastewater,helping relieve global water resource ***,inspired by naturally grown integrally molded mulberry leaves with a Janus hydrophilic and hydrophobic structure,a novel,simple,and efficient integrated molding method is proposed to break through the limitations of the traditional split manufacturing strategy and realizes the integrated formation of Janus *** on the spontaneous sedimentation characteristics of MXene in silk fibroin solution and its regulation of mesoscopic structure and hydrophilicity of silk fibroin,layered structures with different compositions and hydrophilicities were obtained in one ***,ethanol and glutaraldehyde were added to construct a physical crystallization-chemical crosslinking dual stabilization structure in silk *** evaporator has the evaporation rate of 3.07 kg·m^(-2)·h^(-1) and the efficiency of 86.8%under 1 sun and maintains high evaporation performance under various extreme test conditions including vigorous washing,repeated compression,and high-intensity ultraviolet(UV)***,the evaporator performs well in practical application scenarios,its evaporation rate in the simulated Dead Sea seawater exceeds 2.13 kg·m^(-2)·h^(-1),and more than 99.9%of the salt,heavy metal ions,oil pollution,and dyes are purified.
