The recent Boao Forum for Asia was highlighted by the release of the action plan for the Silk Road Economic Belt and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road （the ＂Belt and Road＂）. The plan, published jointly by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce on March 28, outlines the principles, framework, and cooperation priorities and mechanisms of the initiative. The government＇s aim in issuing the plan is to enhance regional connectivity, and the details of specific significant construction projects will be released step by step. Analysts say that the plan will promote practical cooperation in key fields such as infrastructure.
