Chilling stress is a production constraint of tomato,a tropical origin,chilling-sensitive horticultural *** development of chilling tolerant tomato thus has significant potential to impact tomato ***(GRXs)are ubiquitous oxidoreductases,which utilize the reducing power of glutathione to reduce disulfide bonds of substrate proteins and maintain cellular redox ***,we report that tomato expressing Arabidopsis GRX gene AtGRXS17 conferred tolerance to chilling stress without adverse effects on growth and ***17-expressing tomato plants displayed lower ion leakage,higher maximal photochemical efficiency of photosystem II(Fv/Fm)and increased accumulation of soluble sugar compared with wild-type plants after the chilling stress ***,chilling tolerance was correlated with increased antioxidant enzyme activities and reduced H2O2 *** the same time,temporal expression patterns of the endogenous C-repeat/DRE-binding factor 1(SlCBF1)and CBF mediated-cold regulated genes were not altered in AtGRXS17-expressing plants when compared with wild-type plants,and proline concentrations remained unchanged relative to wild-type plants under chilling *** fluorescent protein-AtGRXS17 fusion proteins,which were initially localized in the cytoplasm,migrated into the nucleus during chilling stress,reflecting a possible role of AtGRXS17 in nuclear signaling of chilling stress ***,our findings demonstrate that genetically engineered tomato plants expressing AtGRXS17 can enhance chilling tolerance and suggest a genetic engineering strategy to improve chilling tolerance without yield penalty across different crop species.

环焊缝质量是影响高钢级长输管道安全的重要因素之一。国际焊接研究中心(IWTC)针对几种典型X80管线钢的焊接开展了大量研究,测试了钢管管体和环焊缝的组织及关键力学性能,分析了X80管线钢管环焊工艺及环焊缝性能影响因素,给出了推荐工艺参数、控制措施等。采用焊接热模拟试验研究了2种不同Nb含量的X80钢管的焊接性,分析了Nb含量对焊缝区域微观组织的影响机制。结果表明,国内典型的X80管线钢管均具有良好的性能,其管体性能及焊接性满足工程需要;应采用合理的环焊工艺和质量控制措施以保证焊缝的性能;铌含量较高的X80管线钢具有更优越的焊接性,但必须严格遵从焊接工艺规范。

本文主要报道在1.2(?)高分辨率利用限制立体化学参数的倒易空间最小二乘技术对胰岛素的非氢原子进行各向异性温度因子修正后的结果。在修正后的电子密度图上,少数原子电子密度的各向异性分布有明显表现;80％的氢原子的电子密度有不同程度的反映;修正建立的包括水和溶剂体系,氢原子和氢键在内的胰岛素分子的精确结构模型,为各种胰岛素类似物结构的分析和比较,以及结构与功能关系的研究提供了可靠的,精度的参照和基础。

The San j.an Islands Thrust System： New Perspectives from LIDAR and Sonar Imagery

New LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) and sonar imagery have revealed remarkable geomorphic details never seen before and not visible by any other means. Numerous faults and other geologic structures are plainly visible on LIDAR and sonar images. Many previously unknown faults criss-cross the islands and large fault scarps are visible on sonar imagery along the margins of the larger islands. Sonar images of sea floor morphology show many submerged faults as long linear scarps with relief up to 300m (1,000 ft), some of which visibly truncate geologic structures. The San j.an Lopez fault, the largest fault in the islands, extends for at least 65 km (40 mi) from stuart Island to Rosario strait with a scarp up to 330m (1,000 ft) high. Since 1975, the basic structural framework of the San j.an Islands has been considered to consist of five stacked thrust faults, the Rosario, Orcas, Haro, Lopez, and Buck Bay faults, constituting the San j.an Thrust (Nappe) System that has shuffled together far distant terranes. However, the new LIDAR and sonar imagery shows that most of the mapped extent of these postulated faults are actually segments of high angle, dipslip faults and are not thrust faults at all. Thus, the San j.an Thrust (Nappe) System does not exist. The age of these faults is not accurately known and more than one period of high angle faulting may have occurred. Faults shown on LIDAR images of the surface of the islands appear as visible gashes, etched out by erosion of fault zones with few fault scarps. However, the sea floor faults have bold relief and high scarps. A late Pleistocene moraine lies undisturbed across the San j.an Lopez fault.
