In order to study the karstological processes within the karst ecological system,the geohazards and degradation of karst landscapes on the karst areas of the Bakony mountains(Hungary),we investigated the abiotic elements of the environment,soil and cover deposits,erosion soil decay;the changes in the quantity and quality of karst waters:contamination at swallow holes,contamination of karst springs;and the biogenic factors:surface vegetation coverage by the corine land cover method,plant-ecological examinations,qualification of surface waters with the help of biological water *** recognized that the increasing human activities during the past few centuries have had significant impact on the investigated landscapes of karst areas because of their spatial *** the scope of our research we concluded that the landscape changes due to natural and human effects can vary strongly on the different karst *** differences can arise from the climatic and geomorphologic situation,the coverlayer's qualities,etc.,but primarily from the different utilization of the investigated karst areas(*** intensity,characteristics and territorial extension of utilization).On the spot investigation we detected traces of new and fast geomorphological processes(gully formation,landslides,collapses,new sinkhole development) and landforms(sinkholes,gullies,swallow holes),which are clear evidences of the effect of climatic changes.

The authors consider the problem of reaching consensus over a communication network via asynchronous interaction between pairs of agents. A well-known method is the linear gossip algorithm due to Tsitsiklis(1984). Extension of this, allowing the selection of a strictly stationary sequence of communicating pairs, was given in Picci and Taylor(2013). Extension of the linear gossip algorithm to directed communication networks, retaining the linear dynamics, was proposed by Cai and Ishii(2012),later extended by Silvestre, et al.(2018). A definite novelty of these algorithms is that l2-convergence with exponential rate can be established. The authors attend the above issues, extending the result of Picci and Taylor(2013) motivated by features of algorithms for directed networks. The authors present and discuss the algorithm of Silvestre, et al.(2018), together with systematic simulation results based on 5M randomly chosen parameter settings. The core of the proposed mathematical technology is a set of simple observations, presented with a tutorial aspect, by which the authors can conveniently establish various results on the almost sure convergence of products of strictly stationary sequences of matrices to a rank-1 matrix.

Peripheral nerve injuries induce a severe motor and sensory deficit. Since the availability of autologous nerve transplants for nerve repair is very limited, alternative treatment strategies are sought, including the use of tubular nerve guidance conduits(tNGCs). However, the use of tNGCs results in poor functional recovery and central necrosis of the regenerating tissue, which limits their application to short nerve lesion defects(typically shorter than 3 cm). Given the importance of vascularization in nerve regeneration, we hypothesized that enabling the growth of blood vessels from the surrounding tissue into the regenerating nerve within the tNGC would help eliminate necrotic processes and lead to improved regeneration. In this study, we reported the application of macroscopic holes into the tubular walls of silk-based tNGCs and compared the various features of these improved silk^(+) tNGCs with the tubes without holes(silk^(–) tNGCs) and autologous nerve transplants in an 8-mm sciatic nerve defect in rats. Using a combination of micro-computed tomography and histological analyses, we were able to prove that the use of silk^(+) tNGCs induced the growth of blood vessels from the adjacent tissue to the intraluminal neovascular formation. A significantly higher number of blood vessels in the silk^(+) group was found compared with autologous nerve transplants and silk^(–), accompanied by improved axon regeneration at the distal coaptation point compared with the silk^(–) tNGCs at 7 weeks postoperatively. In the 15-mm(critical size) sciatic nerve defect model, we again observed a distinct ingrowth of blood vessels through the tubular walls of silk^(+) tNGCs, but without improved functional recovery at 12 weeks postoperatively. Our data proves that macroporous tNGCs increase the vascular supply of regenerating nerves and facilitate improved axonal regeneration in a short-defect model but not in a critical-size defect model. Data fusion has shown potential to improve the accuracy of land cover mapping,and selection of the optimal fusion technique remains a *** study investigated the performance of fusing Sentinel-1(S-1)and Sentinel-2(S-2)data,using layer-stacking method at the pixel level and Dempster-Shafer(D-S)theory-based approach at the decision level,for mapping six land cover classes in Thu Dau Mot City,*** the pixel level,S-1 and S-2 bands and their extracted textures and indices were stacked into the different single-sensor and multi-sensor datasets(*** datasets).The datasets were categorized into two *** group included the datasets containing only spectral and backscattering bands,and the other group included the datasets consisting of these bands and their extracted *** random forest(RF)classifier was then applied to the datasets within each *** the decision level,the RF classification outputs of the single-sensor datasets within each group were fused together based on D-S ***,the accuracy of the mapping results at both levels within each group was *** results showed that fusion at the decision level provided the best mapping accuracy compared to the results from other products within each *** highest overall accuracy(OA)and Kappa coefficient of the map using D-S theory were 92.67%and 0.91,*** decision-level fusion helped increase the OA of the map by 0.75%to 2.07%compared to that of corresponding S-2 products in the ***,the data fusion at the pixel level delivered the mapping results,which yielded an OA of 4.88%to 6.58%lower than that of corresponding S-2 products in the groups.

As I learned it from extensive geo-electromagnetic analogue modeling experiments, some specific nonconventional interpretation parameters, in certain conditions, give more detailed information about the geometry of subsurface resistivity inhomogeneities than the routinely used parameters. In this article, I show several examples, and I present how these early results influenced our later research. An enhanced geometric sensitivity may be due to special array geometry （as we call it ＂null array＂）, or it may be due to a narrow and very special frequency range （i.e., the so-called ＂keyhole＂ range）. Nonconventional but physically based interpretation parameters （like the Poynting vector） or higher order invariants of resistivity or impedance tensors may also give useful additional information about the shape of subsurface bodies. One should be very careful in their application because a large part of these nontraditional approaches are strongly constrained by measuring errors and geological noise.
