In this paper a meshless method of lines is proposed for the numerical solution of time-dependent nonlinear coupled partial differential equations. Contrary to mesh oriented methods of lines using the finite-difference and finite element methods to approximate spatial derivatives, this new technique does not require a mesh in the problem domain, and a set of scattered nodes provided by initial data is required for the solution of the problem using some radial basis functions. Accuracy of the method is assessed in terms of the error norms L2, L∞ and the three invariants C1, C2, C3. Numerical experiments are performed to demonstrate the accuracy and easy implementation of this method for the three classes of time-dependent nonlinear coupled partial differential equations.

Holonic Architecture of the Smart Grid

In this paper,we can see adsorption of some amino acids and their complexation with manganese （Ⅱ） ion on carbon nanotube （MWCNT） with uses of four relations Langmuir,Freundlich,Temkin and Harkins-Jura *** this relation,Freudlich and Temkin relations can be predicted good equilibrium diagram in isotherm *** could compute the theory constants with uses of excel *** considering these constants,it became known that among amino acids used and also amino acids with manganese that produce complexation,L-phenylalanine and L-systeine in comparison with others show the most adsorption on carbon nanotube.

With the growing concerns about sustainable energy, energy efficiency and energy security, the electrical power system is undergoing major changes. Distributed energy sources are becoming widely available at the lower parts of the grid. As a result, more and more end consumers are transforming from passive consumers to active “prosumers” that can autonomously generate, store, import and/or export power. As prosumers increasingly dominate the power system, the system demands capability that allows enormous number of stakeholders with heterogeneous types to exchange power on the grid. Unfortunately, the classical power system cannot efficiently handle this scenario since it was designed for centralized power distribution. Thus, restructuring the rather old power system is indispensable. In this paper, we apply the holonic approach to structure the smart grid as a system that is bottom-up organized from autonomous prosumers that are recursively clustered at various aggregation layers. Based on this, we present a control architecture of the smart grid using holonic concepts. Our control architecture is characterized by autonomy of the prosumers, distributed control, recursive self-similar control structures at different aggregation levels. Further, we present a service oriented architecture (SOA) framework that models the control functions that make up the holonic control architecture. Our proposed control architecture is tested using a simulation set-up.

AIM: To examine the frequency of antibiotic resistance in Iranian Helicobacter pylori(H pylori) strains isolated from two major hospitals in ***: Examination of antibiotic resistance was performed on 120 strains by modified disc diffusion test and PCR-RFLP methods. In addition, in order to identify the possible causes of the therapeutic failure in Iran, we also determined the resistance of these strains to the most commonly used antibiotics (metronidazole, amoxicillin,and tetracycline) by modified disc diffusion ***: According to modified disc diffusion test, 1.6% of the studied strains were resistant to amoxicillin, 16.7% to clarithromycin, 57.5% to metronidazole, and there was no resistance to tetracycline. Of the clarithromycin resistant strains, 73.68% had the A2143G mutation in the 23S rRNA gene, 21.05% A2142C, and 5.26% *** of the sensitive strains were positive for any of the three point mutations. Of the metronidazole resistant strains, deletion in rdxA gene was studied and detected in only 6 (5%) of the antibiogram-based resistant *** of the metronidazole sensitive strains possessed rdxA gene ***: These data show that despite the fact that clarithromycin has not yet been introduced to the Iranian drug market as a generic drug, nearly 20% rate of resistance alerts toward the frequency of macrolide resistance strains, which may be due to the widespread prescription of erythromycin in Iran. rdxA gene inactivation,if present in Iranian H pylori strains, may be due to other genetic defects rather than gene deletion.

Cystic dystrophy of the duodenal wall is a rare condition characterized by the development of cysts in heterotopic pancreatic tissue localized in the duodenal wall. A 38-year-old man was admitted to the hospital for abdominal pain and vomiting after food intake. The diagnosis of acute pancreatitis was initially suspected. Abdominal ultrasound examination revealed thickening of the second portion of duodenal wall within which, small cysts (diameter, less than 1 cm) were present in the vicinity of pancreatic *** head of pancreas appeared enlarged (63 mm×42 mm)and hypoechoic. Upper endoscopy and barium X-ray series were performed revealing a severe circumferential deformation, as well as 4 cm long stenosis of the second portion of the duodenum. CT examination revealed multiple cysts located in an enlarged, thickened duodenal wall with moderate to strong post-contrast enhancement. We suspected that patient had cystic dystrophy of duodenal wall developed in the heterotopic pancreas and diagnosis was confirmed by endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). Endoscopi cutrasound (EUS) revealed drcular stenosis from the duodenal bulb onwards. A twenty megaHertz mini-probe examination further showed diffuse (intramural) infiltration of duodenal wall limited to the submucosa and muscularis propria of the second portion of duodenum with multiple microcysts within the thickened mucosa and submucosa, a. Patient was successfully surgically treated and pancreatoduodenectomy was performed. The pathological examination confirmed a diagnosis of cystic dystrophy of a heterotopic *** ultrasonography features allow preoperative diagnosis of cystic dystrophy of a heterotopic pancreas in duodenal wall, with inb'alumina120 MHz mini probe sonography being more efficient in cases of luminal stenosis.

Flavonoids are present in foods such as fruits and vegetables. Several studies have demonstrated a relationship between the consumption of flavonoid-rich foods and prevention of human disease, including neurodegenerative disorders. We assessed the effect of rutin （quercetin-3-O-rutinoside） on oxidative stress in kainic acid （KA）-induced seizure. METHODS： Thirty-six BALB/c mice were randomly divided into three groups. In the control group, saline （intra-peritoneal, i.p.） was administered for 7 d, and on the last day, KA （10 mg/kg, i.p.） was injected 30 min after administration of saline. In rutin groups, mice were pretreated with rutin （100 and 200 mg/kg, i.p.） for 7 d, and on the last day, KA （10 mg/kg, i.p.） was injected 30 min after administration of rutin. Subsequently, behavioural changes were observed in mice. Lipid peroxidation and oxidative stress were measured respectively in the early and late phases after KA-induced seizures. RESULTS： Seizure scores in the rutin groups were significantly lower than those in the control group （P 〈 0.01）. Furthermore, rutin dose-dependently inhibited the number of wet-dog shakes （WDS）（P 〈 0.05）. Malondialdehyde level in the hippocampus of the rutin groups was significantly lower than that in the hippocampus of the control group on days 1 and 21 after KA administration. In the rutin groups, the thiol levels observed on day 1 after KA administration were higher than that in the control group （P 〈 0.01）. CONCLUSION： These results indicate that rutin has potential anticonvulsant and antioxidative activities against oxidative stress in KA-induced seizure in mice.

Prediction of the impact of air pollution on rates of hospitalization for asthma in Shiraz based on air pollution indices in 2007-2012

Objectives: This study was designed to determine the effects of air pollutants on emergency admissions for asthma, and to forecast the disease burden in Shiraz, Iran. Methods: The average daily concentrations of fine particles (PM10), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO) and ozone (O3) were calculated from data reported by two air quality monitoring stations in Shiraz from the beginning of 2007 to mid-2012. Results: The numbers of patients admitted with asthma attack during this period were collected from four main university-affiliated hospitals. Admissions correlated strongly with the levels of PM10, SO2, CO and O3 during warm seasons (P<0.001), and with NO2 level during cold seasons (P<0.001). We forecast increasing trends in air pollutants and patient admissions in the year 2015. Conclusion: Our findings are further evidence of the effects of air pollutants on asthma exacerbations.

The objective of traffic accident reconstruction is to recreate the event, which is necessary for analyzing the collision dynamics that is used as evidence in court cases. Traffic accident reconstruction and a demonstration of the event require precise data pertaining to scene measurement. However, there are differences between the individual measuring tools and methods related to traffic accident investigation, just as there are differences between the extent of their use and measurement accuracy. The most commonly applied method is the measuring tape, followed by measurements with total stations and laser rangefinders, while photogrammetry is also becoming increasingly important. The advantages and disadvantages of individual tools and methods affect the required number of investigators, portability, measurement range, applicability depending on the amount of light and weather conditions, on the possibility of remote measurement, on data collection time, on the scope, on the option to later process, the collected data and above all on the accuracy of all gathered data. The latter is crucial for proving the guilt or innocence of traffic accident participants at court, as inaccurate data can lead to an unjust sentence. Measurement accuracy using the above mentioned tools and methods also varies depending on which ones are used, as well as on other factors.
