Seed size is an important agronomic trait in melons that directly affects seed germination and subsequent seedling ***,the genetic mechanism underlying seed size in melon remains *** the present study,we employed Bulked-Segregant Analysis sequencing(BSA-seq)to identify a candidate region(~1.35 Mb)on chromosome 6 that corresponds to seed *** interval was confirmed by QTL mapping of three seed size-related traits from an F2 population across three *** mapping region represented nine QTLs that shared an overlapping region on chromosome 6,collectively referred to as *** InDel markers were developed in the qSS6.1 region,narrowing it down to a 68.35 kb interval that contains eight annotated *** variation analysis of the eight genes identified a SNP with a C to T transition mutation in the promoter region of MELO3C014002,a leucine-rich repeat receptor-like kinase(LRR-RLK)*** mutation affected the promoter activity of the MELO3C014002 gene and was successfully used to differentiate the large-seeded accessions(C-allele)from the small-seeded accessions(T-allele).qRT-PCR revealed differential expression of MELO3C014002 between the two parental *** predicted protein has typical LRR-RLK family domains,and phylogenetic analyses reveled its similarity with the homologs in several plant ***,these findings suggest MELO3C014002 as the most likely candidate gene involved in melon seed size *** results will be helpful for better understanding the genetic mechanism regulating seed size in melons and for genetically improving this important trait through molecular breeding pathways.

Objective:Regarding frozen-thawed embryo transfer(FET),there is limited consensus on whether extending embryo culture from the cleavage stage to the blastocyst stage affects perinatal *** study aimed to compare perinatal outcomes of singletons between blastocyst-stage embryo transfer(BT)and cleavage-stage embryo transfer(CT)in ***:A total of 9408 FET cycles that met the inclusion criteria were included in this retrospective cohort study between 2019 and ***-stage embryo transfers were performed in the BT group,and cleavage-stage embryo transfers were performed in the CT *** logistic regression analyses were performed,as well as propensity score matching(PSM)to adjust for ***:After PSM,a higher risk of pre-term birth(PTB;odds ratio[OR]:1.23,95%confidence interval[CI]:1.00-1.50,P=0.048)and being large for gestational age(LGA;OR:1.16,95%CI:1.00-1.35,P=0.050)was observed in the BT group compared to that in the CT *** stratified PSM,in the subgroup under 35 years of age,only an increased risk of LGA was observed in the BT group compared to the CT *** outcomes in the double-embryo transfer subgroup were similar to those in the unstratified ***,in the subgroup beyond 35 years of age and the single embryo transfer subgroup,perinatal outcomes were not statistically different between the BT and CT groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:In FET,prolonged embryo culture to the blastocyst stage increased the risk of PTB and LGA in single ***,stratified analysis based on age and the number of transferred embryos yielded different results,necessitating further mechanistic studies.

Intrauterine adhesion is a major cause of female reproductive *** we and others uncontrolled pilot studies showed that treatment with autologous bone marrow stem cells made a few patients with severe intrauterine adhesion obtain live birth,no large sample randomized controlled studies on this therapeutic strategy in such patients have been reported so *** verify if the therapy of autologous bone marrow stem cells-scaffold is superior to traditional treatment in moderate to severe intrauterine adhesion patients in increasing their ongoing pregnancy rate,we conducted this randomized controlled clinical *** 195 participants with moderate to severe intrauterine adhesion were screened and 152 of them were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to either group with autologous bone marrow stem cells-scaffold plus Foley balloon catheter or group with only Foley balloon catheter(control group)from February 2016 to January *** per-protocol analysis included 140 participants:72 in bone marrow stem cells-scaffold group and 68 in control *** ongoing pregnancy occurred in 45/72(62.5%)participants in the bone marrow stem cells-scaffold group which was significantly higher than that in the control group(28/68,41.2%)(RR=1.52,95%CI 1.08–2.12,P=0.012).The situation was similar in live birth rate(bone marrow stem cells-scaffold group 56.9%(41/72)*** group 38.2%(26/68),RR=1.49,95%CI 1.04–2.14,P=0.027).Compared with control group,participants in bone marrow stem cells-scaffold group showed more menstrual blood volume in the 3rd and 6th cycles and maximal endometrial thickness in the 6th cycle after hysteroscopic *** incidence of mild placenta accrete was increased in bone marrow stem cells-scaffold group and no severe adverse effects were *** conclusion,transplantation of bone marrow stem cells-scaffold into uterine cavities of the participants with moderate to severe intrauterine adhesion increased their ongoing pregnancy and

Effect of artificial natural light on the development of myopia among primary school-age children in China:a three-year longitudinal study

AIM:To assess the efficacy of artificial natural light in preventing incident myopia in primary school-age ***:This is a prospective,randomized control,intervention study.A total of 1840 students from 39 classes in 4 primary schools in Foshan participated in this *** whole randomization method was adopted to include classes as a group according to 1:1 randomized *** in the control group were illuminated by usual light,and classrooms in the intervention group were illuminated by artificial natural *** students received uncorrected visual acuity and best-corrected visual acuity measurement,non-cycloplegic autorefraction,ocular biometric examination,slit lamp and strabismus ***-year follow-up,the students underwent same *** was defined as spherical equivalent refraction≤-0.50 D and uncorrected visual acuity<20/***:There were 894 students in the control group and 946 students in the intervention group with a mean±SD age of 7.50±*** three-year cumulative incidence rate of myopia was 26.4%(207 incident cases among 784 eligible participants at baseline)in the control group and 21.2%(164 incident cases among 774 eligible participants at baseline)in the intervention group[difference of 5.2%(95%CI,3.7%to 10.1%);P=0.035].There was also a significant difference in the three-year change in spherical equivalent refraction for the control group(-0.81 D)compared with the intervention group[-0.63 D;difference of 0.18 D(95%CI,0.08 to 0.28 D);P<0.001].Elongation of axial length was significantly different between in the control group(0.77 mm)and the intervention group[0.72 mm;difference of 0.05 mm(95%CI,0.01 to 0.09 mm);P=0.003].CONCLUSION:Artificial natural light in the classroom of primary schools can result in reducing incidence rate of myopia during a period of three years.

急性肾损伤(acute kidney injury,AKI)是肝移植术(liver transplant,LT)后常见的并发症,影响肝移植患者短期及长期预后。肝移植后AKI的发生是多因素的,并且目前缺乏统一的诊断标准。评估肾功能的传统指标在终末期肝病(end-stage liver disease,ESLD)条件下存在局限性,需要结合一些新型生物标记物。目前已研究了多种药理和非药理措施来预防和治疗LT后AKI,但其有效性仍需要进一步研究加以证实。本文将针对肝移植后AKI的诊断及危险因素加以综述,总结现有对其可能有效的防治策略,迎接这一难题的挑战。

The Velocity Aberration Effect of the CSST Main Survey Camera

In this study,we conducted simulations to find the geometric aberrations expected for images taken by the Main Survey Camera of the Chinese Space Station Telescope(CSST)due to its *** anticipated by previous work,our findings indicate that the geometric distortion of light impacts the focal plane's apparent scale,with a more pronounced influence as the size of the focal plane *** models suggest that the effect consistently influences the pixel scale in both the vertical and parallel *** apparent scale variation follows a sinusoidal distribution throughout one orbital *** reveal that the effect is particularly pronounced in the center of the Galaxy and gradually diminishes along the direction of ecliptic *** low ecliptic latitudes,the total aberration leads to about a 0.94 pixel offset(a 20 minute exposure)and a 0.26 pixel offset(a 300 s exposure)at the edge of the field of *** processings for the geometric effect during the CSST pre-and post-observation phases are presented.
