Stratified thermal storage promotes energy sustainability by storing excess energy during t.m.s of low demand for later use making it possible to integrate renewable energy sources like solar and *** communication discusses the significance of triple stratifica-tion using the Cattaneo-Christov model in the bioconvectiveflow of thixotropicfluid coexisting with nanoparticles and gyrotactic *** Cattaneo-Christov heat and massflux is incorporated into thefluid model allowing more accurate prediction of heat and mass phenomena in thefluid *** governing partial differential equations that describefluidflow are parametrized to yield an ordinary differential equation syst.m.by adopting suitable *** series solutions are obtained by applying the homotopy analysis method(HAm).the effects of relevant parameters on the various profiles are revealed and accurately *** is observed that amplified thermal stratification lowers the t.m.erature of ***,Brownian motion is used to illustrate the random movement of small particles suspended in liquids,and it is envisioned that the concentration distribution is significantly influenced by the Brownian motion of nanoparticles.

Getting the most Out of Every training Day: the Influence of Instructors on Self-Regulated Learning During Firefighter Leadership Courses

Leadership courses in the fire services are highly challenging, and they can seriously exhaust trainees and hamper their selfregulated learning efforts(for example, setting goals, focusing attention, seeking feedback). We theorize that experiences of failure or overload can curtail trainees' available energy resources on subsequent training days, which, in turn, should affect trainees' learning efforts. Given instructors' central role in leadership courses, we hypothesize that supportive and humble instructor behaviors decrease experiences of failure and overload and, thus, increase self-regulated learning. moreover, we argue that supportive instructor behavior may amplify the positive effects of high energy resources, while humble behavior may alleviate the negative impact of low resource levels. We tested preregistered hypotheses with 118 firefighters participating in two-week leadership courses at a German fire academy. the participants completed short web-based questionnaires before and after classes each day. multilevel analyses confirmed that perceived daily supportive and humble instructor behavior predicted trainees' reports of daily self-regulated learning activity. Notably, this effect was independent from positive effects of trainees' reported energy resources in the morning. Supportive and humble behavior did not.m.derate the eff ect of energy resources. Our findings suggest that instructors play a crucial role in facilitating effective learning under challenging training conditions. Furthermore, we offer implications for leaders in fire services, who often conduct trainings with their subordinates.

the main aim of this study is to explain periglacial processes on the summits of mount Honaz(2571 m a.s.l.),define periglacial landforms,and determine the relationships between morphometric features and topographic *** circles,stony earth circles,non sorted steps,and non sorted stripes were identified on the summits of mount ***'s correlation coefficient(r)and linear regression analyses were performed by taking metric measurements from 125 periglacial landforms to describe their morphometric features(length,width,height)of periglacial landforms and explain the relationships between them and topographic factors(elevation,slope).to explain the relationships between periglacial landforms and soil properties,soil samples from 11 periglacial landforms were taken and *** landforms,which continue to develop on the summits of mount Honaz today,have been evaluated with present climate *** of soil samples indicates a notable impact of parent.m.terial on the genesis of periglacial *** high ratio of organic matter in mud circle and non sorted step landforms and the high lime ratio in stony earth circle landforms prove a strong relationship between the formation mechanisms of landforms and the soil ***,it is consistent with the findings obtained from the analysis that severe periglacial processes and washing and scavenging events are experienced more on the northern slopes.

A parallel complex divider architecture based on DCD iterations for computing complex division in mVDR beamformer

this paper presents a hardware architecture using mixed pipeline and parallel processing for complex division based on dichot.m.us coordinate descent(DCD) iterations. the objective of the proposed work is to achieve low-latency and resource opt.m.zed complex divider architecture in adaptive weight computation stage of minimum variance distortionless response(mVDR)algorit.m. In this work, computation of complex division is modeled as a 2×2 linear equation solution problem and the DCD algorit.m.allows linear syst.m. of equations to be solved with high degree of computational efficiency. the operations in the existing DCD algorit.m.are suitably parallel pipelined and the performance is opt.m.zed to 2 clock cycles per iteration. to improve the degree of parallelism, a parallel column vector read architecture is *** proposed work is implemented on the field programmable gate array(FPGA) platform and the results are compared with state-of-art literature. It concludes that the proposed architecture is suitable for complex division in adaptive weight computation stage of mVDR beamformer. We demonstrate the performance of the proposed architecture for mVDR beamformer employed in medical ultrasound imaging applications.

the tight focusing properties of a radially polarized Gaussian beam with a nested pair of vortices having a radial wave front distribution are investigated theoretically by the vector diffraction theory. the results show that the optical intensity in the focal region can be altered considerably by changing the location of the vortices nested in a radially polarized Gaussian beam. It is noted that focal evolution from one annular focal pattern to a highly confined focal spot in the transverse direction is observed corresponding to the change in the location of the optical vortices in the input plane. It is also observed that the generated focal hole or spot lead to a focal shift along the optical axis remarkably under proper radial phase modulation. Hence the proposed syst.m.may be applied to construct tunable optical traps for both high and low refractive index particles.
