This paper proposes a novel energy-aware geographical forwarding protocol utilizing adaptive sleeping, in which each node selects its relay based on a new criterion that is based on its residual energy reserves and its geographical location to guarantes energy efficiency. In addition, this paper presents an adaptive sleep mechanism fully integrated into the new relay criterion, in which each node sleeps for a variable duration based on its residual energy reserves. Simulation results show that the proposed protocol significantly reduces the energy consumption of the network and improves its balance, especially when on heavy traffic load in dense networks. Our protocol is 20 times better in balancing the energy consumption compared with geographical random forwarding protocol.

A wireless sensor network is typically composed of hundreds, even thousands of tiny sensors used to monitor physical phenomena. As data collected by the sensors are often redundant, data aggregation is important for conserving energy. In this paper , we present a new routing protocol with optimal data aggregation. This routing protocol has good performance due to its optimal selection of aggregation point locations. This paper details the optimal selection of aggregation point locations.

We have conducted a large-field simultaneous survey of 12 CO,13 CO and C18O J=1-0 emission toward the Orion A giant molecular cloud(GMC)with a sky coverage of4.4 deg2 using the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO)-13.7 m millimeter-wavelength *** use the probability distribution function of the column density(N-PDF)to investigate the distribution of molecular hydrogen in the Orion A *** H2 column density,derived from the 13CO emission,of the GMC is dominated by a log-normal distribution in the range from4×1021 to1.5×1023 cm-2 with excesses both at the low-density and high-density *** excess of the low-density end is possibly caused by an extended and low-temperature(10 K)component with velocities in the range of 5-8 km *** with the northern sub-regions,the southern sub-regions of the Orion A GMC contain less gas with column density in NH2>1.25×1022 *** dispersions of the N-PDFs of the sub-regions are found to correlate with the evolutionary stages of the clouds across the Orion A *** structure hierarchy of Orion A GMC is explored with the DENDROGRAM algorithm,and it is found that the GMC is composed of two *** structures except one in the tree have virial parameters less than 2,indicating self-gravity is important on the spatial scales from0.3 to4 *** power-laws and departures from lognormal distributions are found at the high-density end of N-PDFs for active star-forming regions,the N-PDFs of structures in the Orion A GMC are predominantly lognormal on scales from R0.4 to 4 pc.

Lithium-ion batteries （LIBs） are currently recognized as one of the most popular power sources available. To construct advanced LIBs exhibiting long-term endurance, great attention has been paid to enhancing their poor cycle stabilities. As the performance of LIBs is dependent on the electrode materials employed, the most promising approach to improve their life span is the design of novel electrode materials. We herein describe the rational design of a three-dimensional （3D） porous MnO/C-N nanoarchitecture as an anode material for long cycle life LIBs based on their preparation from inexpensive, renewable, and abundant rapeseed pollen （R-pollen） via a facile immersion-annealing route. Remarkably, the as-prepared MnO/C-N with its optimized 3D nanostructure exhibited a high specific capacity （756.5 mah·g^-1 at a rate of 100 ma·g^-1）, long life span （specific discharge capacity of 513.0 mah·g^-1, -95.16% of the initial reversible capacity, after 400 cycles at 300 ma·g^-1）, and good rate capability. This material therefore represents a promising alternative candidate for the high-performance anode of next-generation LIBs.

Hierarchical Mobile IPv6 (HMIPv6) can reduce the delay and the amount of signaling during handover compared with the basic mobile IPv6. However, the protocol still cannot meet the requirement for traffic that is delay sensitive, such as voice, especially in macro mobility handover. Duplicate address detection and the transmission time for the handover operation could cause high handover delay. This paper proposes a new mechanism to improve the fast handover algorithm's efficiency in HMIPv6 network. And we present and analyze the performance testing for our proposal by comparing it with the traditional HMIPv6 fast handover algorithm. The results of simulation show that our scheme can reduce the handover delay much more than the traditional fast handover method for HMIPv6 network.

In this study, the damage-plasticity model for concrete that was verified by the model experiment was used to calculate the damage to a spiral case structure based on the damage mechanics theory. The concrete structure surrounding the spiral case was simulated with a three-dimensional finite element model. Then, the distribution and evolution of the structural damage were studied. Based on investigation of the change of gap openings between the steel liner and concrete structure, the impact of the non-uniform variation of gaps on the load-beating ratio between the steel liner and concrete structure was analyzed. The comparison of calculated results of the simplified and simulation algorithms shows that the simulation algorithm is a feasible option for the calculation of spiral case structures. In addition, the shell-spring model was introduced for optimization analysis, and the results were reasonable.
