Free-standing silicon anodes with high proportion of active materials have aroused great attention;however,the mechanical stability and electrochemical performance are severely ***,to resolve the appeal issues,a free-standing anode with a"corrugated paper"shape on micro-scale and a topological crosslinking network on the submicron and nano-scale is ***,an integrated three-dimensional electrode structure is constructed based on robust carbon nanotubes network with firmly anchored SiNPs via forming interlocking *** which,the hierarchical interlocking structure is achieved by directional induction of the binder,which ensures well integration during cycling so that significantly enhances mechanical stability as well as electronic and ionic conductivity of *** from it,this anode exhibits outsta nding performance under harsh service conditions including high Si loading,ultrahigh areal capacity(33.2 ma h cm^(-2)),and high/low temperatures(-15-60℃),which significantly extends its practical ***,the optimization mechanism of this electrode is explored to verify the crack-healing and structure-integration maintaining along cycling via a unique self-stabilization ***,from both the fundamental and engineering views,this strategy offers a promising path to produce high-performance free-standing electrodes for flexible device applications especially facing volume effect challenges.

The anisotropic two-dimensional （2D） layered material rhenium disulfide （ReSe2） has attracted considerable attention because of its unusual properties and promising applications in electronic and optoelectronic devices. However, because of its low lattice symmetry and interlayer decoupling, anisotropic growth and out-of-plane growth occur easily, yielding thick flakes, dendritic structure, or flower-like structure. In this stud34 we demonstrated a bottom-up method for the controlled and scalable synthesis of ReSe2 by van der Waals epitaxy. To achieve controllable growth, a micro-reactor with a confined reaction space was constructed by stacking two mica substrates in the chemical vapor deposition system. Within the confined reaction space, the nucleation density and growth rate of ReSe2 were significantly reduced, favoring the large-area synthesis of ReSe2 with a uniform monolayer thickness. The morphological evolution of ReSe2 with growth temperature indicated that the anisotropic growth was suppressed at a low growth temperature （〈600 ℃）. Field-effect transistors employing the grown ReSe2 exhibited p-type conduction with a current ON/OFF ratio up to 10s and a hole carrier mobility of 0.98 cm^2/（V·s）. Furthermore, the ReSe2 device exhibited an outstanding photoresponse to near-infrared light, with responsivity up to 8.4 and 5.1 A/W for 850- and 940-nm light, respectively. This work not only promotes the large-scale application of ReSe2 in high-performance electronic devices but also clarifies the growth mechanism of low-lattice symmetry 2D materials.

Runs of homozygosity （ROHs） are a class of important but poorly studied genomic variations and may be in- volved in individual susceptibility to diseases. To better understand ROH and its relationship with lung cancer, we performed a genome-wide ROH analysis of a subset of a previous genome-wide case-control study （1,473 cases and 1,962 controls） in a Han Chinese population. ROHs were classified into two classes, based on lengths, intermedi- ate and long ROils, to evaluate their association with lung cancer risk using existing genome-wide single nucleofide polymorphism （SNP） data. We found that the overall level of intermediate ROHs was significantly associated with a decreased risk of lung cancer （odds ratio = 0.63; 95% confidence interval： 0.51-0.77; P = 4.78 × 10-6 ）, while the long ROHs seemed to be a risk factor of lung cancer. We also identified one ROH region at 14q23A that was con- sistently associated with lung cancer risk in the study. These results indicated that ROHs may be a new class of variation which may be associated with lung cancer risk, and genetic variants at 14q23.1 may be involved in the development of lung cancer.

Background The aim of this study was to explore the associations between the aspartate aminotransferase-to-alanine aminotransferase ratio(AST/ALT)and coronary artery lesions(CALs)among patients with Kawasaki disease(KD).Methods Medical records of KD patients presenting to a single center between January 2019 and December 2020 were retrospectively collected and ***,multivariable-adjusted analyses,subgroup analyses,restricted cubic spline test,and fitted curves were used to evaluate the associations between AST/ALT and *** A total of 831 patients were enrolled,of which 201(24.2%)had CALs on admission and 21(2.5%)developed CALs de novo after intravenous immunoglobulin(IVIG).Multivariable-adjusted analyses models revealed that a lower AST/ALT was associated with an increased risk of CALs on admission when AST/ALT was a continuous variable(P=0.007)and when it was a categorical variable(P for trend=0.004).Each unit increase in AST/ALT was associated with a 22%lower risk of CALs on admission(odds ratio=0.78,95%confidence interval 0.65-0.94).A negative linear relationship was noted between AST/ALT and the risk of CALs on admission in both observed and fitted ***,such associations were not observed in AST/ALT and CALs de novo after *** of the variables significantly modified the association between AST/ALT and CALs on admission and CALs de novo after IVIG(P>0.05).Conclusion Our findings suggested that AST/ALT was a risk factor of CALs,but was not associated with progressive CALs.

Previous studies have showed clinical characteristics of patients with the 2019 novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19)and the evidence of person-to-person *** data are available for asymptomatic *** study aims to present the clinical characteristics of 24 cases with asymptomatic infection screened from close contacts and to show the transmission potential of asymptomatic COVID-19 virus *** investigations were conducted among all close contacts of COVID-19 patients(or suspected patients)in Nanjing,Jiangsu Province,China,from Jan 28 to Feb 9,2020,both in clinic and in *** carriers were laboratory-confirmed positive for the COVID-19 virus by testing the nucleic acid of the pharyngeal swab *** clinical records,laboratory assessments,and chest CT scans were *** a result,none of the 24 asymptomatic cases presented any obvious symptoms while nucleic acid *** cases(20.8%)developed symptoms(fever,cough,fatigue,etc.)during ***(50.0%)cases showed typical CT images of ground-glass chest and 5(20.8%)presented stripe shadowing in the *** remaining 7(29.2%)cases showed normal CT image and had no symptoms during *** 7 cases were younger(median age:14.0 years;P=0.012)than the *** of the 24 cases developed severe COVID-19 pneumonia or *** median communicable period,defined as the interval from the first day of positive nucleic acid tests to the first day of continuous negative tests,was 9.5 days(up to 21 days among the 24 asymptomatic cases).Through epidemiological investigation,we observed a typical asymptomatic transmission to the cohabiting family members,which even caused severe COVID-19 ***,the asymptomatic carriers identified from close contacts were prone to be mildly ill during ***,the communicable period could be up to three weeks and the communicated patients could develop severe ***

The luminescence modulation behaviour under the in-situ electric field of rare-earth doped KSr_(2)Nb_(5)O_(15) ceramics opened a new door for the development of dielectric *** the understanding the effect of rare-earth doping on the electric properties of host,especially at the similar doping concentration with luminescence researches(low concentrations)is very important for the exploration of mechanism of electric-luminescent coupling *** this work,Nd^(3+)-doped KSr_(2)Nb_(5)O_(15)(KSN-xNd)ceramics were synthesized,and the electric properties were investigated *** results suggest that the Nd^(3+) doping slightly increased the phase transition temperatures and improved the piezoelectric response of KSr_(2)Nb_(5)O_(15).Most importantly,a bidirectional dielectric tunability is revealed in KSr_(2)Nb_(5)O_(15).The dielectric permittivity can be adjusted by the DC electric bias,with tunability ranging from12.3% to 21.9%.The related mechanism and relationship between the bidirectional dielectric tunability and ferroelectricity are revealed by temperature-dependent dielectric and ferroelectric *** researches of electric properties and bidirectional dielectric tunability of KSN-based ceramics paved the way to further exploration of electric-luminescent coupling mechanism.

Prognostic assessment of apoptotic gene polymorphisms in non-small cell lung cancer in Chinese

Apoptosis plays a key role in inhibiting tumor growth, progression and resistance to anti-tumor therapy. We hypothesized that genetic variants in apoptotic genes may affect the prognosis of lung cancer. To test this hypoth- esis, we selected 38 potentially functional single nucleotide polymorphisms （SNPs） from 12 genes （BAX, BCL2, BID, CASP3, CASP6, CASP7, CASPS, CASP9, CASPIO, FAS, FASLG and MCL1） involved in apoptosis to assess their prognostic significance in lung cancer in a Chinese case cohort with 568 non-small cell lung cancer （NSCLC） patients. Thirty-five SNPs passing quality control underwent association analyses, 11 of which were shown to be significantly associated with NSCLC survival （P 〈 0.05）. After Cox stepwise regression analyses, 3 SNPs were independently associated with the outcome of NSCLC （BID rs8190315： P = 0.003; CASP9 rs4645981： P = 0.007 and FAS rs1800682： P = 0.016）. A favorable survival of NSCLC was significantly associated with the genotypes of BID rs8190315 AG/GG （adjusted HR = 0.65, 95% CI： 0.49-0.88）, CASP9 rs4645981 AA （HR = 0.22, 95% CI： 0.07-0.69） and FAS rs1800682 GG （adjusted HR = 0.67, 95% CI： 0.46-0.97）. Time-dependent receptor operation curve （ROC） analysis revealed that the area under curve （AUC） at year 5 was significantly increased from 0.762 to 0.819 after adding the risk score of these 3 SNPs to the clinical risk score. The remaining 32 SNPs were not sig- nificantly associated with NSCLC prognosis after adjustment for these 3 SNPs. These findings indicate that BID rs8190315, CASP9 rs4645981 and FAS rs1800682 polymorphisms in the apoptotic pathway may be involved in the prognosis of NSCLC in the Chinese population.

Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)have been widely studied as efficient electrocatalysts for water oxidation due to their tunable structure and easy ***,the rational design of MOFs-based electrocatalysts and fundamental understanding of their structural evolution during oxygen evolution reaction(OER)remain critical ***,we report a facile approach to tune the structural transformation process of the Co-based zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF)during the OER process by using water molecules as a vacancy *** modified ZIF catalyst accelerates the structural transformation from MOF precursor to electrochemical active species and simultaneously enhances the vacancy density during the electrochemical activation *** optimized electrocatalyst exhibits an extremely low overpotential 175 mV to deliver 10 ma cm^(-2) and superior durability(100 h)at 100 ma cm^(-2).The comprehensive characterization results reveal the structural transformation from the initial tetrahedral Co sites to cobalt oxyhydroxide(CoOOH)and the formation process of oxygen vacancies(CoOOH-Vo)at a high anodic *** findings represent a promising way to achieve highly active MOF-based electrocatalysts for water oxidation.
