Microstructure Evolution and Mechanism of Strength Development of Fly Ash Paste

Three types of activators such as sodium hydroxide,calcium oxide and triethanolamine(TEA)are used to establish different activation environments to address the problems associated with the process of activating fly ash *** conducted mechanical tests and numerical simulations to understand the evolution of microstructure,and used environmental scanning electron microscopy(ESEM)and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS)techniques to analyze the microenvironments of the *** mechanical properties of fly ash paste under different activation conditions and the changes in the microstructure and composition were *** results revealed that under conditions of low NaOH content(1%-3%),the strength of the sample increased *** the content exceeded 4%,the rate of increase in strength *** on the results,the optimal NaOH content was identified,which was about 4%.A good activation effect,especially for short-term activation(3-7 d),was achieved using TEA under high doping *** activation effect was poor for long-term strength after 28 *** CaO content did not significantly affect the degree of activation *** maximum effect was exerted when the content of CaO was 2%.The virtual cement and concrete testing laboratory(VCCTL)was used to simulate the hydration process,and the results revealed that the use of the three types of activators accelerated the formation of Ca(OH)_(2) in the *** activators also corroded the surface of the fly ash particles,resulting in a pozzolanic *** active substances in fly ash were released efficiently,and hydration was *** pores were filled with hydration products,and the microstructure changed to form a new frame of paste filling that helped improve the strength of fly ash paste.

Visualization of the protective role of estrogen against female liver fibrosis via an ER viscosity NIR fluorescent probe

Endoplasmic reticulum(ER) viscosity has emerged as a new potential biomarker for hepatic fibrosis(HF). Herein, we report the first ER-targeting viscosity-responsive near-infrared(NIR) fluorescent probe HBT-PP for investigations of HF *** twisted intramolecular charge transfer(TICT) and the excited state intramolecular proton transfer(ESIPT) are combined to endow HBT-PP with the selective response towards viscosity(～62-fold) and a super large stokes shift(～320 nm). HBT-PP mainly targets organelle ER and is able to image the drug-or alcohol-induced viscosity elevation in living cells. Significantly,HBT-PP was successfully applied to visualize the gender difference in HF and the protective role of estrogen in restraining HF progression. Of note, after 10 min of stain with HBT-PP, HF lesions showed a stage-based response, indicating the potential of this probe in fast and early diagnosis of HF. These results clearly demonstrated the promising application of HBT-PP as a new tool for exploring ER viscosity-involved physiological and pathological processes.

De novo synthesis of atropisomeric benzofurans via Cu/SPDO complex catalyzed asymmetric formal [3 + 2] annulation

Herein, the de novo synthesis of atropisomeric benzofurans through the Cu/spirocyclic-pyrrolidine-oxazoline(SPDO) complex catalyze asymmetric formal [3 + 2] cycloaddition between quinones and ynamides is explored, producing a range of structurally diverse axially chiral benzofurans in satisfactory yields with good to excellent enantioselectivities. Furthermore, density functional theory calculations were applied to explain the possible reaction mechanism.

Li,Na,and Cs-based metal-organic frameworks for room temperature phosphorescence applications

The conventional design of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with room-temperature phosphorescence (RTP) mostly relies on using heavy metals,as the heavy atom effect can effectively increase the efficiency of intersystem crossing (ISC) to get a better phosphorescence *** the first time,we reported the highly efficient RTP of a lithium-based MOF IMU-101 with a lifetime (τ) of 299 ms and a quantum yield (QY) of 4.91%.In addition,MOFs IMU-102 and IMU-103,with sodium and cesium as metal nodes,were successfully *** phosphorescence properties of this series of alkali metal MOFs were systematically studied and *** crystallography and computational calculation show that the mechanism for achieving RTP for this material lies in the ultrashort coordination bond of Li,which enables the reduction of non-radiative ***-101,as a cheap and environmentally friendly room-temperature phosphorescent material,has been further developed into composite polymer inks and bulk *** makes them promising for applications in anti-counterfeiting and information encryption.

Upsilon Photo-Production off Proton in QCD Inspired Model

Based on the generalized vector meson dominance model in QCD, we study photoproduction of vector meson T off the proton by use of the QCD inspired model in which the contributions from quark-quark, gluon-gluon, and quark-gluon interference term to observable are taken into consideration. Calculations are performed for total cross section σtot, differential cross section dσ/dt, ratio of the real part to imaginary part of forward scattering amplitude ρ, and nuclear slop parameter function β. The mediators of interactions between projectiles （the quark and antiquark pair fluctuated from the real the photon） and the proton target （three-quark system） are the tensor Glueball and Odderon instead of using the usual Pomeron exchange. The theoretical predictions for σtot （s） are consistent with the experimental data within error bars of the data. The data for dσ/dt, ρ, and β are urgently needed.

Deep learning-based battery state of charge estimation:Enhancing estimation performance with unlabelled training samples

The estimation of state of charge(SOC)using deep neural networks(DNN)generally requires a considerable number of labelled samples for training,which refer to the current and voltage pieces with knowing their corresponding ***,the collection of labelled samples is costly and *** contrast,the unlabelled training samples,which consist of the current and voltage data with unknown SOCs,are easy to *** view of this,this paper proposes an improved DNN for SOC estimation by effectively using both a pool of unlabelled samples and a limited number of labelled *** the traditional supervised network,the proposed method uses an input reconstruction network to reformulate the time dependency features of the voltage and *** this way,the developed network can extract useful information from the unlabelled *** proposed method is validated under different drive cycles and temperature *** results reveal that the SOC estimation accuracy of the DNN trained with both labelled and unlabelled samples outperforms that of only using a limited number of labelled *** addition,when the dataset with reduced number of labelled samples to some extent is used to test the developed network,it is found that the proposed method performs well and is robust in producing the model outputs with the required accuracy when the unlabelled samples are involved in the model ***,the proposed method is evaluated with different recurrent neural networks(RNNs)applied to the input reconstruction *** results indicate that the proposed method is feasible for various RNN algorithms,and it could be flexibly applied to other conditions as required.

To save the calculations of Jacobian,a multi-step Levenberg-marquardt method named Shamanskii-like LM method for systems of nonlinear equations was proposed by *** convergence properties have been proved by using a trust region technique under the local error bound ***,the authors wonder whether the similar convergence properties are still true with standard line searches since the direction may not be a descent *** this purpose,the authors present a new nonmonotone m-th order Armijo type line search to guarantee the global *** the same condition as trust region case,the convergence rate also has been shown to be m+1 by using this line search *** experiments show the new algorithm can save much running time for the large scale problems,so it is efficient and promising.
