This paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. The influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. To depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both Fick's and Fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate system, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(PDEs)for momentum, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAm).The effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and temperature distributions are shown via graphs. Furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and temperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the Schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the Peclet number, the Schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective Lewis number.

We demonstrate antimonene as a saturable absorber(SA) to generate an ultrafast mode-locked and Q-switched laser in the 2 μm wavelength region. The two antimonene-based SAs were prepared and inserted separately in a thulium–holmiumdoped fiber laser to produce the pulsed laser. Antimonene was coated onto a tapered fiber to generate soliton mode-locked pulses and used in thin-film form for the generation of Q-switched pulses. The mode-locking was stable within a pump power of 267 m W–511 m W, and the laser operated at a central wavelength of 1897.4 nm. The mode-locked laser had a pulse width of 1.3 ps and a repetition rate of 12.6 mHz, with a signal-to-noise ratio of 64 d B. Q-switched laser operation was stable at a wavelength of 1890.1 nm within a pump power of 312 m W–381 m W. With the increase in pump power from 312 m W to 381 m W, the repetition rate increased to a maximum of 56.63 k Hz and the pulse width decreased to a minimum value of 2.85 μs. Wide-range tunability of the Q-switched laser was also realized within the wavelength range of1882 nm–1936 nm.

We demonstrate a multi-wavelength erbium-doped fiber laser （EDFL） using erbium gain and four-wave mixing （FWm） effect in a piece of erbium-doped fiber （EDF） with high erbium ion concentration. The EDF has a pump absorption rate of 24.6 dB/m at 979 nm and is bi-directionally pumped by 980-nm laser diodes. FWm effect redistributes the energy of different oscillating lines and causes multi-wavelength operation. The laser generates more than 22 lines of optical comb with a line spacing of approximately 0.10 nm at the 1569-nm region using only 1.5-m-long EDF.

We investigated growth of GaN pn-junction layers grown on silicon（111） by plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy system and its application for photo-devices. Si and mg were used as n- and p-dopants, respectively. The reflection high energy electron diffraction images indicated a good surface morphology of GaN pn-junction layer. The thickness of GaN pn- junctions layers was about 0.705 nm. The absence of cubic phase GaN showed that thiS layer possessed hexagonal structure. According to XRD symmetric rocking curve ω/2θ scans of （0002） plane at room temperature, the full width at half-maximun of GaN pn-junction sample was calculated as 0.34°, indicating a high quality layer of GaN pn-junction. Surprisingly, there was no quenching of the A1 （LO） peak, with the presence of Si- and mg-dopants in sample. The pn-junctions sample has a good optical quality which was measured by the photoluminescence system. For photo-devices applications, Ni and A1 were used as front and back contacts, respectively. The current-voltage characteristics of the devices showed the typical rectifying behavior of heterojunction. The photo-current measurement was performed using a visible-lamp under forward and reverse biases. From the temperature-dependent measurements, the current at low bias exhibited much stronger temperature dependence and weaker field dependence. The effect of thermal annealing on front contact Ni was also carried out. The front contact Ni was annealed at 400 and 600 ℃ for 10 min in the nitrogen ambient. The results showed that 600 ℃ treated sample had a higher gain at 1.00 V/e than 400 ℃ treated and untreated samples.

In this paper,we analyze thin-shell wormholes from two identical copies of charged static cylindrically symmetric spacetimes using Visser’s‘cut and paste’approach under the influence of f(R,T)gravity Harko,Lobo,Nojiri,and Odintsov(2011,***.D 84,024020).In this scenario,the modified Chaplygin gas supports the exotic matter in the shell which allows,one to examine the dynamics of constructed *** utilize the junction condition to connect the interior and exterior geometries across the hypersurface and calculate different components of the Lanczos equation recently computed by Roza in Rosa(2021,***.D 103,104069).We analyze the stability of the thin-shell wormhole models under linear perturbations while keeping the cylindrical symmetry and also examine the influence of charge on their *** positive quantity of the second derivative of potential at the throat radius might be interpreted as the stability *** find both unstable and stable wormhole solutions for different parameters included in the equation of state and specific forms of considered gravity and illustrate them theoretically as well as *** examine the impact of electric charge on the stability region of a constructed wormhole,which suggests that a wormhole model with a charge may exhibit more stable behavior compared to an uncharged system.

Correlation Between Local Atomic Symmetry and mechanical Properties in metallic Glasses

The local atomic symmetry was investigated and discussed for understanding mechanical, vibrational and dynamical properties in metallic glasses. Local five-fold symmetry was defined based on the ratio of pentagons to the total number of faces in a Voronoi cluster analyzed by Voronoi tessellation method. It is found that the plastic deformation prefer to be initiated in the regions with less degree of local five-fold symmetry （LFFS） and propagate gradually toward the region with more degree of LFFS. On the other hand, the local structures having less degree of LFFS contribute more to the soft low-frequency modes, and thus the so-called boson peak, while those with more degree of LFFS participate more in moderate- and high- frequency modes in metallic glasses. The relationship between local atomic symmetry and structural heterogeneity, mechanical heterogeneity, and glass transition was also discussed. It is shown that local atomic symmetry could be a general structural indicator in metallic liquids and glasses for better understanding the structure-property relationship in amorphous alloys.

We demonstrate a passively Q-switched erbium-doped fiber laser （EDFL） using a copper nanoparticle （CuNP） thin film as the saturable absorber in a ring cavity. A stable Q-switched pulse operation is observed as the CuNP saturable absorber （SA） is introduced in the cavity. The pulse repetition rate of the EDFL is observed to be proportional to the pump power, and is limited to 101.2kHz by the maximum pump power of 113.7mW. On the other hand, the pulse width reduces from 10.19μs to 4.28μs as the pump power is varied from 26.1 mW to 113.7mW. The findings suggest that CuNP SA could be useful as a potential saturable absorber for the development of the robust, compact, efficient and low cost Q-switched fiber laser operating at 1.5-μm region.

The Effect of Non-Contact Conditions in a Splinted Fixed Partial Denture on the Load Sharing mechanism： A Finite Element Study

A computer-aided design model for a fixed partial denture was constructed and used in a finite element analysis to study the overall load sharing mechanism between the fixed partial denture and oral structures while the denture base rested on the al- veolar ridge. To investigate the consequences of non-contact conditions, three additional models were generated incorporating a uniform clearance of 0.125 mm, 0.25 mm, and 0.5 mm, respectively. A 100 N static load located at the free end of the prosthesis was applied while the distal portion of the jaw was set fixed. The results show that whilst releasing the ridge almost entirely, the presence of the clearance drastically increased the load on the splinting teeth. A pull-out force on the canine tooth of about 44 N was computed, accompanied by a mesio-distal moment of about 500 ***. The combination of which was similar to the tooth extraction maneuver performed by the dentist. In contrast, the second premolar was found to bear a push-in force of almost 115 N. The first molar, though barely solicited in the contact condition, became substantially loaded in non-contact conditions, which validates the choice of sacrificing three teeth to support the denture.
