Limestone and clay samples were collected from Darukhula and adjoining areas of the Nizampur District,Nowshera,N.W.F.P.,Pakistan,and analyzed for different parameters in order to search for new reserves of suitable material for the manufacture of different types of cements in *** was found that the area under study contains three types of limestones,including high grade limestone,Darukhula limestone and siliceous limestone,which contain 53%,49.03% and 45.19% CaO,respectively,and three types of clay,including maroon color,yellow to yellowish-green color and green color clay containing 57.76%,65.47% and 61.24% SiO2,*** analysis of the limestone and clay samples collected from the deposits in the area under study showed that all the elements found in these samples are within the range of permissible limits for the production of high-strength Portland cement,sulphate resisting cement and white *** paper covers the detailed version of the potential raw material deposits at Darukhula and adjoining areas of the Nizampur District.

Shaheen Basma ti was evolved as a salt tolerant fine rice va riety by the Soil Salinity Research Institute,Pindi Bhattian, Pakistan. Water culture studies were conducted to investigate the physiological mechanismexercised by this variety in particular and rice plant in general to face the saline environment. Performanceof this rice variety and the concentration and uptake of ions were studied under stress of three salinity levels(30, 60 and 90 mmol L-1) created with NaCl. Recorded data indicated that shoot dry matter was notsignificantly affected by all the three levels of salinity. However, NaCl levels of 60 and 90 mmol L-1 affectedthe root dry matter significantly. Sodium concentration and uptake was enhanced significantly in root andshoot at the first level of salinity (30 mmol L-1) but thereafter the differences were non-significant, indicatingthe preferential absorption of this cation. The K concentration decreased significantly in shoots at all thelevels. The impact was less pronounced in roots as far as K absorption was concerned. The effect on Ca andmg concentrations was not significant. The values of K:Na, Ca:Na and (Ca+mg):Na ratios in shoot and rootwere comparatively low under stress conditions, indicating that selective ion absorption may be the principalsalt tolerance mechanism of variety Shaheen Basmati when grown in a saline medium.

The water level control system of steam generator in a pressurized water reactor of nuchear power plant plays an important role which effects the water level control of the steam generator are due the reverse dynamics behavior,so the transient analysis of the steam generator should firstly solve their mathematical *** determination of dynamic behavior and design and testing of the control system, a nonlinear math model is developed using one dimensional conservation equations of mass,momentum and energy of primary and secondary sides of the steam generator. The nonlinear model is verified with standard power plant data available in the references, then the steady states and transient calculations are performed for full power to 5% power reactor operation of the steam generator of Chinese Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant.

This paper presents a novel method to solve old problem of water level control system of pressurized water reactor (PWR) steam generator (SG) of nuclear power plant (NPP) .The level control system of SG plays an important role which effects the reliablity,safty,cost of SG and its mathematical models have been solved.A model of the conventional controller is presented and the existing problems are discussed. A novel rule based realtime control technique is designed with a computerized water level control (CWLC) system for SG of PWR *** performance of this is evaluated for full power reactor operating conditions by applying different transient conditions of SG′s data of Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant (QNPP).

This study is theﬁrst attempt to assess the nature of the soil,especially on the western side of the Porali Plain in Balochistan;a new emerging agriculture hub,using weathering and pollution indices supplemented by multi-variate analysis based on geochemical *** outcomes of this study are expected to help farmers in soil manage-ment and selecting suitable crops for the ***-ﬁve soil samples were collected,mainly from the arable land of the Porali *** drying and coning-quarter-ing,soil samples were analyzed for major and trace ele-ments using the XRF technique;sieving and hydrometric methods were employed for granulometric ***-mated data were analyzed using Excel,SPSS,and Surfer software to calculate various indices,correlation matrix,and spatial *** granulometric analysis showed that 76%of the samples belonged to loam types of soil,12%to sand type,and 8%to silt *** indices:CIA,CIW,PIA,PWI,WIP,CIX,and ICV were calculated to infer the level of *** indices reﬂect mod-erate to intense weathering;supported by K_(2)O/AI_(2)O_(3),Rb/K_(2)O,Rb/Ti,and Rb/Sr *** of the geo-ac-cumulation and Nemerow Pollution indices pinpoint rela-tively high concentrations of Pb,Ni,and Cr concentration in the *** correlation matrix and Principal Compo-nent Analysis show that the soil in this study area is mainly derived from the weathering of igneous rocks of Bela Ophiolite(Cretaceous age)and Jurassic sedimentary rocks of mor Range having SEDEX/mVT type *** may result in the undesirable accumulation of certain trace elements which adversely affects crops.

The neutron capture rates and temperature dependent stellar beta decay rates of mo isotopes are investigated within the framework of the statistical code TALYS v1.96 and the proton neutron quasi particle random phase approximation(pn-QRPA)*** maxwellian average cross-section(mACS)and neutron capture rates for the^(95-98)mo(n,γ)^(96-99)mo radiative capture process are analyzed within the framework of the statistical code TALYS v1.96 based on the phenomenological nuclear level density model and gamma strength *** present model-based computations for the mACS are comparable to the existing measured *** sensitivity of stellar weak interaction rates to various densities and temperatures is investigated within the framework of the pn-QRPA *** attention is paid to the impact of thermally filled excited states in the decaying nuclei(^(95-98)mo)on electron emission and positron capture ***,we compare the neutron capture rates and stellar beta decay *** is found that neutron capture rates are higher than stellar beta decay rates at both lower and higher temperatures.

Spinel ferrites exhibit exceptional magnetic properties,making them a distinctive class of magnetic *** sol-gel technique was utilized for the synthesis of spinel ferrites with the chemical formula Co_(0.6)Sr_(0.4)Ce_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4). First Record of middle Eocene Elephant Ancestors’Footprints in the Gonjo Basin,East Tibet Plateau

It is the first time that the fossil footprints of a group of middle Eocene elephant ancestors have been discovered in the Gonjo Basin,East Tibet *** Gonjo Formation is attributed to the middle Eocene Epoch(U-Pb age=44.7±1.2 ma)and consists mainly of purplish-red,medium-to coarse-grained sandstones,siltstones interbedded with mudstones,and conglomerates with sedimentary structures like ripple marks,rip-up clasts,and trough-cross bedding,suggesting fluvial-lacustrine *** group of fossil footprints has a characteristic oval-concave shape,and the toe impressions are *** fossil footprints are overstepped with a pockmarked texture resembling Proboscipeda *** than 165 fossil footprints of the group are relatively well-preserved with different diameters,which is evidence of highly social behavior and trackmakers of different ages,including calves,juveniles,adolescents,and *** size frequency of the fossil footprints enabled us to deduce the body mass,shoulder height,and hip-height distribution of the trackmakers that crossed the East Tibet Plateau 44.7 ma *** trackmakers comprised an estimated average hip-height of 111.8 cm,an average shoulder height of 172.8 cm for males/155.9 cm for females,and an average body mass of approximately 1218.1 kg for males/907.8 kg for *** abundance of fossil footprints reveals that in the middle Eocene Epoch,the environment was extraordinarily conducive for the elephant ancestors to live in the East Tibet region.
