This process does not use general electroless plating solution containing formaldehyde(carcinogen) and phosphate(the object of waste water regulation). Furthermore, we succeeded in developing a new electroless copper plating solution which is usable semi-permanently by using the special reducing agent. The electroless deposition forms a very thin conductive film on substrate. Therefore, it can prevent some appearance defects (e.g. pits, pin-holes, laminations and inclusions) that occur in the conventional ones. In addition, it is possible to eliminate electroplating of copper from the process by applying the exclusive nickel solution in electroplating. Therefore, the obtained metal parts can be recycled as high quality stainless steel. Given this copper electroplating-free process, 25 u m-thick nickel deposition at the stage of electroplating, at least, enables the metal layers to show properties as versatile as those of the conventional(its total thickness is 25 n m in the comparative conventional process).

Alkaloids are nitrogen-containing organic compounds, generally basic, and found in plants, fungi, and bacteria. Some alkaloids are used in medicine, but some compounds are highly toxic. Accidental ingestion, homicide, and suicide have occurred due to plants containing alkaloids. The identification of toxic components in biological samples is important for the diagnosis and/or treatment of poisoning cases in forensic and emergency medicine. Alkaloids have a wide variety of structures, such as isoquinoline alkaloid, indole alkaloid, tropane alkaloid, and diterpene alkaloid;therefore, there are few reports of simultaneous analysis methods. We have established a method for the simultaneous analysis of 23 alkaloids in human serum with a liquid chromatograph-tandem mass spectrometer (LC/mS/mS). A liquid-liquid extraction which was modified from the first step of the QuEChERS AOAC method was used for serum pretreatment. The separation of the compounds was performed using a pentafluorophenyl (PFP) column, CAPCELL CORE PFP (2.1 mm I.D. × 100 mm, 2.7 μm) in gradient mode. mobile phase A consisted of 10 mm ammonium formate and 0.1% formic acid in ultrapure water, and mobile phase B was 10 mm ammonium formate and 0.1% formic acid in methanol. Simultaneous analysis was performed in dynamic multiple reaction monitoring mode. The separation of 23 alkaloids was satisfactory, as PFP columns exhibited different retention behaviors than alkyl phase columns. The PFP column effectively retained polar aromatic compounds;therefore, it was suitable for alkaloid analysis. The validated method was applied to a forensic case of aconite poisoning. The present method was useful in LC/mS/mS screening for 23 alkaloids in human serum.

mixtures of a weak protonic acid and a trace amount of superstrong protonic acid were used for the simple control of the cationic polymerization of vinyl ethers via a degenerative chain-transfer mechanism, in which the former acid works as a precursor of the chain transfer agent (CTA) or the dormant species and the latter works as a source of the cationic propagating species. The addition of mixtures of phosphoric acid dibutyl ester ((n=BuO)2PO2H) or 1 -octanethiol (n-C8H17SH) and a trace amount of trifluoromethanesulfonic acid (TfOH) to a solution of isobutyl vinyl ether (IBVE) at -78℃ resulted in polymers with controlled molecular weights, which were basically determined by the feed ratio of IBVE to the weak protonic acid, and narrow molecular weight distributions (mw/mn≈ 1.1). These results were almost the same as those obtained using their prepared adducts of IBVE as CT As in the presence of a trace amount of TfOH under similar conditions. methanesulfonic acid (CH3SO3H), whose adduct of IBVE has not been isolated due to instability, was similarly used in conjunction with trace TfOH to result in controlled molecular weights but slightly broader mWDs (mw/mn = 1.2-1.8). These results indicate that the sulfoxonium ion is also an effective intermediate in the cationic DT polymerization in addition to the phosphonium and sulfonium intermediates derived from (n=BuO)2PO2H and C8H17SH, respectively. The simple living cationic polymerization was thus achieved by using a combination of a weak protonic acid and a trace amount of TfOH, which are both easily available, low cost, free from metal, and easy to handle, without need for preparation of the initiator.

LC-mS/mS Analysis of Lycorine and Galantamine in Human Serum Using Pentafluorophenyl Column

Lycorine and galantamine are natural alkaloids found in Amaryllidaceae plants, such as narcissus. Narcissus leaves and roots are sometimes accidentally ingested because they resemble vegetables. Lycorine and galantamine are toxic and cause such effects as nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain, when accidentally ingested. In a case of narcissus poisoning, the detection of lycorine and galantamine in biological samples is vital to determine whether they have been ingested. This study establishes a liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC/mS/mS) method to measure the lycorine and galantamine content of human serum, which can be used for mild to fatal poisoning cases. A serum pretreatment procedure was performed using acetonitrile and QuEChERS AOAC powder. The separation of the compounds was conducted using a pentafluorophenyl column, CAPCELL CORE PFP (2.1 mm I.D. × 100 mm, 2.7 μm). Lycorine, galantamine, and galantamine-d6 (internal standard) were identified by the transitions of m/z 288 → 147, m/z 288 → 213, and m/z 294 → 216, respectively. The calibration curves were linear in the ranges of 0.05 to 5 ng/mL and 5 to 100 ng/mL, with R2 > 0.999. The precision and accuracy were within the permissible range. The matrix effects of lycorine and galantamine were 94.3% - 98.4% and 87.8% - 91.1%, respectively. The extraction recovery rates of lycorine and galantamine were 101.9% - 112.7% and 95.6% - 107.1%, respectively. The present method detected lycorine and galantamine in the sera of three patients with mild poisoning that had accidentally ingested. This method is applicable in cases of lycorine and galantamine poisoning.

Shakuyakukanzoto (Shao-Yao-Gan-Cao-Tang), a formulation of Japanese herbal (Kampo) medicines, is composed of Paeoniae Radix and Glycyrrhizae Radix. Effects of Shakuyakukanzoto and the ingredients on rat intestinal tract were examined. Shakuyakukanzoto (0.01 - 0.3 mg/ml) relaxed a carbachol (CCh, 0.3 μm) - induced contraction in a concentration-dependent manner. Both components (Paeoniae radix and Glycyrrhizae radix) also relaxed the CCh-induced contraction. At 0.1 to 1 mm, their constituents (paeoniflorin and glycyrrhetic acid) and the metabolic products (18-α- and 18-β-glycyrrhetinic acids) exerted almost the same actions. The relaxations induced by Shakuyakukanzoto were not modified by 1 μm nicardipine, 10 μm suramin (ATP receptor inhibitor) and several K+ channel inhibitors, but was attenuated by 20 μm IBmX (a phosphodiesterase inhibitor). Also, IBmX inhibited the relaxations induced by paeoniflorin and glycyrrhetic acid, but not by other ingredients. Nicardipine decreased the relaxation of just 18-α-glycyrrhetinic acid. Even in non-treatment with CCh, Shakuyakukanzoto relaxed the intestinal tract. CCh (0.3 μm) elicited spontaneous contractions in 23% specimens, depressed by application of Shakuyakukanzoto. These results indicate that Shakuyakukanzoto causes a remarkable relaxation by the anti-cholinergic and the PDE inhibitory actions, but by minor contribution of Ca2+ channel inhibition. Thus, Shakuyakukanzoto exerts an anti-spasmodic action due to the interaction with pharmacological effects of its ingredients.

研究者评估正常血压人群中动态血压与家庭高血压风险之间的关系,并研究增加动态血压是否可以改进先前Ohasama研究中建立的家庭高血压风险10年预测模型。方法:在该前瞻性研究中,研究者对没有家庭和动态高血压的日本大阪一般人群的410名参与者(女性占83.2%,年龄53.6岁)进行随访。采用Cox模型评估家庭高血压[家庭血压≥135/85 mmHg(1 mmHg=0.133 k Pa)或开始降压治疗]和模型改进的风险比(HR)。结果:在平均14.2年的随访期内,发生225例家庭高血压事件。
