Oncofertility is an extremely signiﬁcant topic that is increasingly being discussed owing to increased evidence indicating that fertility preservation does not affect the treatment outcomes of patients with cancer but signiﬁcantly contributes to preserving life *** effect of chemotherapy can range from minimal effects to complete ovarian *** data are available on the effects of monoclonal antibodies and targeted therapies on the ovaries and *** ovarian suppression by administering a gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonist(GnRHa)during chemotherapy decreases the gonadotoxic effect of chemotherapy,thereby diminishing the chance of developing premature ovarian insufﬁciency(POI).At present,the concomitant administration of GnRH analogs during chemotherapy is the only accepted pharmacological method for preserving ovarian ***,most randomized studies on the effectiveness of luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone agonists during chemotherapy in preventing POI have been conducted in women with breast cancer,with a considerably small number of studies on patients with hematological ***,most randomized controlled trials on breast cancer have revealed a decrease in treatment-induced POI risk,regardless of the hormone receptor *** addition,studies on hematological malignancies have yielded negative results;nevertheless,theﬁndings must be interpreted with caution owing to numerous *** guidelines from the American Society of Clinical Oncology and ESmO Clinical Practice Guidelines recommend sperm,oocyte,and embryo cryopreservation as a standard practice and only offering GnRHa to patients when proven fertility preservation methods are not *** this manuscript,we present a comprehensive literature overview on the application of ovarian suppression with GnRHa during chemotherapy in patients with cancer by addressing preclinical and clinical data,as well as future perspectives in thisﬁeld

BACKGROUND Nutrition recommendations in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2Dm)are to consume rye or integral bread instead of white bread.A positive effect on glucoregulation has been achieved by enriching food with various biologically active substances of herbal origin,so we formulated an herbal mixture that can be used as a supplement for a special type of bread(STB)to achieve better effects on postprandial glucose and insulin levels in patients with *** To compare organoleptic characteristics and effects of two types of bread on postprandial glucose and insulin levels in T2Dm *** This trial included 97 patients with T2Dm.A parallel group of 16 healthy subjects was also *** participants were given 50 g of rye bread and the same amount of a STB with an herbal mixture on 2 consecutive *** blood glucose and insulin levels were compared at the 30^(th),60^(th),90^(th) and 120th min.A questionnaire was used for subjective estimation of the organoleptic and satiety features of the two types of *** Compared to patients who consumed rye bread,significantly lower postprandial blood glucose and insulin concentrations were found in T2Dm patients who consumed *** relevant differences were found among the healthy *** estimated organoleptic and satiety characteristics are better for STB than for rye *** STB have better effects than rye bread on postprandial glucoregulation in T2Dm *** estimated organoleptic and satiety characteristics are better for STB than for rye ***,STB can be recommended for nutrition in T2Dm patients.

In this study, the effects of doping by 3d （V, mn, Fe, Ni） and 4f （Nd, Sm, Er） ions on dielectric and infrared properties of SrTiO3 （STO） single crystals are investigated. It is well known that doping of the SrTiO3 can change the dielectric properties of the STO from an insulator to an n-type semiconductor, and even to a metallic conductor. Dielectric and infrared （IR） properties of the undoped STO and doped STO single crystals are analyzed using dielectric spectroscopy （80 kHz-5 mHz）, transmission （200 cm^-1-4000 cm^-1）, and reflection spectroscopy （50 cm^-1-2000 cm^-1）. It is found that doping by the 3d ions reduces the value of dielectric permittivity, but the trend of temperature dependence of the dielectric permittivity remains almost unchanged. On the other hand, dielectric spectroscopy measurements for samples doped by 4f ions show the anomalous behaviors of the dielectric permittivity at temperatures around the temperature of the structural phase transition. There are two fractures of temperature dependences of inverse dielectric permittivity εr^-1 （T）. Transmittance spectroscopy measurements show that there are differences in the shape of the spectrum in the mid-IR region between the undoped STO and the one doped by 4f ions. The differences in the reflectance spectrum between the STO：Nd and STO are analyzed in detail.

Triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)is a disease with often an aggressive course and a poor prognosis compared to other subtypes of breast *** accounts for approximately 10%–15%of all diagnosed breast cancer cases and represents a high unmet need in the *** to just a few years ago,chemotherapy was the only systemic treatment option for this subtype(1).To date,TNBC is considered a heterogeneous *** of the existing classifications is based on the analysis of mRNA expression in 587 TNBC cases,in which Lehman et *** six subtypes of TNBC as follows:two basal-like(BL1 and BL2)subtypes,a mesenchymal(m)subtype,a mesenchymal stem-like(mSL)subtype,an immunomodulatory(Im)subtype,and a luminal androgen receptor(LAR)subtype(2).Later studies have demonstrated that the Im and mSL subtypes do not correlate with independent subtypes but reflect background expression by dense infiltration of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes(TILs)or stromal *** to this finding,the classification of TNBC has been revised into the following four subtypes:basal 1,basal 2,LAR,and mesenchymal subtypes(3).Over the last years,several new strategies have been investigated for the treatment of patients with *** them,immunotherapy,antibody drug conjugates,new chemotherapy agents,and targeted therapy have been and are currently being *** present article aims to provide an updated overview on the different treatment options that are now available or are still under investigation for patients with TNBC.

Pyrite Formation in Organic-rich Clay, Calcitic and Coal-Forming Environments

The early diagenetic characteristics of pyrite formation processes in a miocene freshwater sequence of mixed sediments （coal fragments in clays, sandstones or shales） alternating with continuous brown coal layers was investigated. Based on abundant minerals, the following main sedimentary environments were distinguished： the illite-montmorillonitic （I-m）, calcitic （Ct） and coal-forming environment （CL）. For these hydrogeochemically differing environments the effects of limiting factors on the pyrite formation process （availability of sulphate and Fe, amount of organic matter and participation of organic sulphur） were assessed by correlation analysis. Significant differences in the effects of these limiting factors in the particular environments were observed. These differences were explained taking in account the different oxidative activity, Fe-complex and surface complex forming properties of humic substances in dependence of pH of environment and the abundance of sorptionally active clay minerals. In environments having a relatively low pH and containing clay minerals （I-m- and CL-environments） the oxidative activity of humic substances （Hs） on pyrite precursors was greatly prevented however pyrite formation depended on reactive Fe availability as the consequence of complex formation. On the contrary, in environments with a relatively high pH, as it was the calcitic, the oxidative activity of Hs was greatly enhanced, thus oxidizing the sulfur precursors of pyrite. The oxidation degree of organic matter was probably also a consequence of the differing activity of the humic electron-acceptors.

Objective To investigate involvement of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor(Ah R)in the immunomodulatory effects of cadmium(Cd).methods The effect of Cd on Ah R activation(CYP1 A1 and CYP1 B1 m RNA expression)was examined in lung leukocytes of Cd-exposed rats(5 and 50 mg/L,30 d orally)and by in vitro leukocyte *** involvement of Ah R signaling in the effects of Cd on the interleukin(IL)-1β,IL-6,and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)lung leukocyte response was investigated in vitro using the receptor antagonist *** Cd increased CYP1 B1(in vivo and in vitro)and CYP1 A1(in vitro)m RNA,indicating Ah R involvement in the action of *** response to Cd,lung leukocytes increased IL-6 and decreased TNF at the gene expression and protein levels,but decreased IL-1βproduction due to reduced *** Ah R antagonist CH-223191 abrogated the observed effects of Cd on the cytokine *** absence of Ah R reactivity and cytokine response to Cd of leukocytes from the lungs of a rat strain that is less sensitive to Cd toxicity coincided with a high Ah R repressor m RNA *** Ah R signaling is involved in the lung leukocyte proinflammatory cytokine response to *** relevance of the Ah R to the cytokine response to Cd provides new insight into the mechanisms of Cd immunotoxicity.

Background: Fundus autofluorescence (AF) in some patients with retinitis pigmentosa is characterized by a parafoveal ring of increased AF which surrounds the centre as hypofluorescent changes appear at the periphery. The aim of this study was to evaluate the AF patterns in relation to retinal function measured by ele ctroretinography and visual fields. methods: Thirty-two patients with RP were included in the study. AF imaging of the macular area was performed with the scanning laser ophthalmoscope. Patients were divided in two groups according to their fundus AF patterns. All patients from group 1 had a ring of increased AF of different size but no atrophic areas inside vascular arcades. Patients with a ring of increased AF and round atrophic changes at different eccentricities from their fovea were selected in group 2. Visual fields were tested with kinetic, automated perimetry and microperimetry; the radius of the hyperfluorescent ring and the smallest distance of hypofluorescent areas from the fovea were compared to visual fields, PERG P50 and N95 and mfERG P1 amplitudes of the inner three rings. Results: A linear relationship was found in group 1 between the radius of the ring of increased AF and both the automated (r=0.82) and kinetic perimetry (r=0.80). The radius of the AF ring correlated highlywith the PERG P50 (r=0.72) and N95 (r=0.74) amplitudes. In all patients, mfERG responses were reduced at all retinal locations, more pronounced at periphery. There was a good correlation between the ring of increased AF and the P1 amplitude of ring 2 of mfERG (r=0.62). Pati ents from group 2 had significantly reduced or non-recordable PERGs and mfERGs. The eccentricities of hypofluorescent changes did not correlate with any type of perimetry. Conclusions: Our results show that in stages of retinitis pigmentosa, before atrophic lesions spread inside the vascular arcades, the pattern of fundus autofluorescence correlates well with functional tests such as perimetry and
