methacrylic acid with isoproturon has been utilized to prepare molecularly imprinted polymeric (mIP) membrane on Whatman filter paper no. 5 for selective electrochemical estimation of isoproturon pesticide. mIP membrane was prepared by radical polymerization and characterized using Ultra Violet spectrophotometer, Fourier Transform Infra Red (FTIR) spectroscopy and Scanning Electron microscopy (SEm). Contact angle study was used to determine the surface energy of the mIP membrane and electrical conductivity measurements were performed by applying a small-amplitude alternating voltage (20 mV) with frequencies varying from 20 Hz to 80 kHz generated by a low-frequency wave form generator. Different isoproturon concentrations in samples were tested and analyzed. Results indicate linear increase in membrane resistance with increasing isoproturon in 10-3 to 10-6 m range. The selectivity of the electrochemical sensor was confirmed by testing isoproturon in presence of the structurally related compounds monouran and diuran. Results reveal highly selective and sensitive sensor, which can be employed for regular estimation of isoproturon in fields.

The goal of this study was to map rainfed and irrigated rice-fallow cropland areas across South Asia,using mODIS 250 m time-series data and identify where the farming system may be intensified by the inclusion of a short-season crop during the fallow ***-fallow cropland areas are those areas where rice is grown during the kharif growing season(June–October),followed by a fallow during the rabi season(November–February).These cropland areas are not suitable for growing rabi-season rice due to their high water needs,but are suitable for a short-season(≤3 months),low water-consuming grain legumes such as chickpea(Cicer arietinum L.),black gram,green gram,and ***(double-cropping)in this manner can improve smallholder farmer’s incomes and soil health via rich nitrogen-fixation legume crops as well as address food security challenges of ballooning populations without having to expand *** grain legumes,primarily chickpea,are increasingly grown across Asia as a source of income for smallholder farmers and at the same time providing rich and cheap source of protein that can improve the nutritional quality of diets in the *** suitability of rainfed and irrigated rice-fallow croplands for grain legume cultivation across South Asia were defined by these identifiers:(a)rice crop is grown during the primary(kharif)crop growing season or during the north-west monsoon season(June–October);(b)same croplands are left fallow during the second(rabi)season or during the south-east monsoon season(November–February);and(c)ability to support low water-consuming,short-growing season(≤3 months)grain legumes(chickpea,black gram,green gram,and lentils)during rabi *** irrigated or rainfed crops such as rice or wheat that were grown during kharif were not considered suitable for growing during the rabi season,because the moisture/water demand of these crops is too *** study established cropland classes based on the every 16-day 25

Transition metal selenides have attracted great interest in electrochemical energy storage applications because of their good electrochemical activity and conductivity ***,we reported the metal molybdenum selenide(m Se/mo_(3)Se_(4)(m:Zn,mn,and Ni))electrode materials on their morphological and electrochemical properties by varying the metal ions via a facile hydrothermal *** effects of the structural,morphological,and surface area properties of the prepared powder materials on their electrochemical performance were *** to the hierarchical porous and unique interconnected structure,the nickel molybdenum selenide nanosheet spheres(NmS NSSs)-based electrode material delivered an excellent specific capacity value of 252 mAh g^(-1) at a current density of 1 Ag^(-1).moreover,the optimized NmS NSSs electrode exhibited outstanding cycling stability with a capacity retention of 80%and a corresponding coulombic efficiency of 99%after 80,000 ***,a pouch-type hybrid supercapacitor(HSC)device was assembled using NmS NSSs material as a positive electrode and activated carbon as a negative electrode in 1 m aqueous KOH ***,the assembled HSC device exhibited superior energy and power density values as well as magnificent cycling *** real-time practical applications,light-emitting diodes and a digital display were powered using two series-connected HSC ***,the obtained tremendous results strongly suggest that the NiSe/mo_(3)Se_(4) NSSs-based materials could be a promising electrode for ultralong-life energy storage applications.

We report a green and facile approach for the synthesis of NiFe2O4(NF)nanoparticles with good *** prepared materials are studied by various techniques in order to know their phase structure,crystallinity,morphology and elemental *** BET analysis revealed a high surface area of 80.0 m^2·g^-1 for NF possessing a high pore volume of 0.54 cm^3·g^-1,also contributing to the amelioration of the electrochemical *** NF sample is studied for its application in supercapacitors in an aqueous 2 mol·L^-1 KOH *** properties are studied both in the three-electrode method and in a symmetrical supercapacitor *** show a high specific capacitance of 478.0 F·g^-1 from the CV curve at an applied scan rate of 5 mV·s^-1 and 368.0 F·g^-1 from the GCD analysis at a current density of 1A·g^-1 for the NF ***,the material exhibited an 88%retention of its specific capacitance after continuous 10000 cycles at a higher applied current density of8 A·g^-*** encouraging properties of NF nanoparticles suggest the practical applicability in high-performance supercapacitors.

Several types of childhood glaucoma exist, and the terminology is based on the time of onset of disease and its potential cause. Though childhood glaucoma occurs less commonly than adults but can lead to permanent visual damage due to amblyopia, optic neuropathy or refractive error. A detailed evaluation should be done to establish diagnosis. medical therapy has a limited role and surgery remains main modality for treatment. Childhood glaucoma is a treatable disease, if early diagnosis is established and therapeutic intervention done in time. In children with low vision efforts should be there to maintain residual vision and visual rehabilitation with low vision aids should be done.

Background: Studies have revealed a strong link between sleep-related breathing disorders and essential hypertension. However, the trends of sleep-disordered breathing in hypertensive patients have not been analyzed frequently. methods: In this prospective, single-center and observational study, random patients with systemic essential hypertension, who were visiting GSVm medical College, Kanpur, India between December 2012 and July 2014, were selected. After obtaining informed consent, patients were analyzed for symptoms of sleep-disordered breathing and Epworth Sleepiness Scale. Subsequently, all patients underwent overnight polysomnography to estimate the events of apnea and hypopnea. Observed data were compared between stage I and stage II hypertensive patients. Results: A total of 51 patients (age: 45.7 ± 13.43 years), comprising 36 stage I hypertensives and 15 stage II hypertensives, were enrolled in the study. About 47% of these patients displayed no symptoms of sleep-disordered breathing. Compared to stage I hypertensives, higher percentage of stage II hypertensives reported excessive day time sleepiness. Sleep latency time and sleep architecture were comparable between stage I and stage II hypertensives. Stage II hypertensives displayed shorter total sleep time and higher snore time than stage I hyper-tensives. Apnea Hypopnea Index (AHI) values increased with the severity of hypertension. Nocturnal oxygen desaturation was present in 25.0% and 53.3% of stage I and II hypertensives respectively. mean lowest oxygen saturation was lower and the mean C-reactive protein levels were higher in stage II hypertensives as compared to stage I hypertensives. The mean C-reactive protein levels increased with increasing AHI scores, while the mean lowest oxygen saturation decreased with increasing AHI scores. Gonioscopy: A Review

Gonioscopy allows us to examine the angle of anterior chamber and forms part of complete ophthalmic examination and it is mandatory for the diagnosis and management of glaucoma. Gonioscopy permits the identification of eyes at risk for closure and detects angle abnormalities that could have diagnostic and therapeutic implications. Principle, types and techniques of gonioscopy, various types of gonioscopic lenses used, indications of performing gonioscopy, gonioscopic anatomy and grading are discussed in this article.

The early Archean oceans were marked by significant redox changes which have subsequently shaped the Earth’s *** chemical sediments of banded Iron and manganese formations provide important geochemical proxies for these historical shifts in the redox conditions and to trace the ancient sedimentation patterns and *** this study,we investigate the proto-ore of the Archean mn-formations of the Sandur,Chitradurga and Shimoga greenstone belts of Dharwar Craton of southern Peninsular India,which is geochemically characterised as quartz arenites,mn-arenites,Fe-arenites,mn-argillites and *** geochemical systematics suggest their deposition in shallow to deeper shelf in the Archean *** detrital zircon U-Pb systematics of mn arenites and argillites indicate their maximum depositional age of 3230±52 ma representing the oldest onset of sedimentation during the Paleo-mesoarchean timeframe in the Chitradurga Group of Dharwar *** detrital influx proxies suggest variations in sedimentation rates associated with the Archean transgressive-regressive cycles and fluctuating hydrodynamic conditions,together reflecting an increasing trend in the contributions of recycled sediment from Sandur to Chitradurga and Shimoga greenstone *** available detrital zircon ages of the mn arenites and argillites from these greenstone belts indicate a~600 ma prolonged period of mn deposition for which high-T hydrothermal fluids from Archean mid-oceanic ridges supplied the *** trace element compositions of the concordant detrital zircons suggest 3.3-3.1 Ga Dharwar basement TTG/granitoid source which is corroborated by the zircon crystallization temperatures of 690-820℃.The source-normalisedα-dose rates of the detrital zircons signify greater degrees of sediment transport and multi-cycle nature which correspond to the earliest episode of crustal growth in the Indian sub-continent associated with the mesoarchean Ur supercontinent.T

AIm To study the association between vitamin D level and hospitalization rate in Crohn's disease(CD) *** We designed a retrospective cohort study using adult patients(> 19 years) with CD followed for at least one year at our inflammatory bowel disease center. Vitamin D levels were divided into: low mean vitamin D level(m L) vs appropriate mean vitamin D level(30-100 ng/m L). Generalized Poisson Regression models(GPR) for Rate Data were used to estimate partially adjusted and fully adjusted incidence rate ratios(IRR) of hospitalization among CD patients. We also examined IRRs for vitamin D level as a continuous *** Of the 880 CD patients, 196 patients with vitamin D level during the observation period were included. Partially adjusted model demonstrated that CD patients with a low mean vitamin D level were almost twice more likely to be admitted(IRR = 1.76, 95%CI: 1.38-2.24) compared to those with an appropriate vitamin D level. The fully adjusted model confirmed this association(IRR = 1.44, 95%CI: 1.11-1.87). Partially adjusted model with vitamin D level as a continuous variable demonstrated,higher mean vitamin D level was associated with a 3% lower likelihood of admission with every unit(ng/m L) rise in mean vitamin D level(IRR = 0.97, 95%CI: 0.96-0.98). The fully adjusted model confirmed this association(IRR = 0.98, 95%CI: 0.97-0.99). CONCLUSION Normal or adequate vitamin D stores may be protective in the clinical course of CD. However, this role needs to be further characterized and understood.
