Objective:To find out the anticancer effect of indigofera aspalathoides(***)on20-methylcholanthrene induced fibrosarcoma in ***:Fibrosarcoma was induced in Wistar strain male albino rats by ***(i.p.)administration of250 mg/kg body weight/day of aqueous extract of *** for 30 d effectively suppressed chemically induced *** such as body weight,liver and kidney weight,tumor weight,mean survival time,behavioral changes,blood glucose,blood glycogen and marker enzymes such as alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),alkaline phosphatase(ALP),acid phosphatase(ACP)and 5'-nucleiotidase(5'-NT)in serum,liver and kidney and lipid profiles such as total cholesterel,phospholipids,free fatty acids in liver and kidney of control and experimental animals were ***:Fibrosarcoma bearing animals were ferocious and *** mean survival time was found to increase after the *** body weights were significantly decreased(Pma animals which steadily increased after the treatment with *** liver and kidney weights were significantly increased whereas the tumor weights decreased as compared to the weights in untreated fibrosarcoma bearing *** blood glucose and the liver and kidney glycogen levels were found to decrease significantly(Pmarker enzymes were observed in serum,liver and kidney of fibrosarcoma bearing GroupⅡanimals which were normalize after *** *** the liver and kidney of GroupⅡanimals the total cholesterol increased whereas the pbospbolipids and free fatty acid levels decreased(Pmalized after ***:The treatment by *** on fihrosarcoma bearing rats has improved the levels of various parameters indicating its antiproliferative and anticancer activity.

Here we demonstrate the fabrication, electrochemical performance and application of an asymmetric supercapacitor (AS) device constructed with ss-Ni(OH)(2)/mWCNTs as positive electrode and KOH activated honeycomb-like porous carbon (K-PC) derived from banana fibers as negative electrode. Initially, the electrochemical performance of hydrothermally synthesized ss-Ni(OH)(2)/mWCNTs nanocomposite and K-PC was studied in a three-electrode system using 1 m KOH. These materials exhibited a specific capacitance (Cs) of 1327 Fig and 324 F/g respectively at a scan rate of 10 mV/s. Further, the AS device i.e., ss-Ni(OH)(2)/mWCNTs// K-PC in 1 m KOH solution, demonstrated a Cs of 156 F/g at scan rate of 10 mV/s in a broad cell voltage of 0-2.2 V. The device demonstrated a good rate capability by maintaining a Cs of 59 F/g even at high current density (25 A/g). The device also offered high energy density of 63 Wh/kg with maximum power density of 5.2 kW/kg. The AS device exhibited excellent cycle life with 100% capacitance retention at 5000th cycle at a high current density of 25 A/g. Two AS devices connected in series were employed for powering a pair of LEDs of different colors and also a mini fan. Despite efforts to end homelessness in the United States,student homelessness is gradually growing over the past *** creates physical and psychological disadvantages for students and often disrupts school *** suggests that students who experience prolonged dislocation and school disruption after a dis-aster are primarily from low-income households and under-resourced *** study develops a framework to predict post-disaster trajectories for kindergarten through high school(K-12)students faced with a major disaster;the framework includes an estimation on the households with children who recover and those who experience long-term *** the National Center for Education Statistics school attendance boundaries,resi-dential housing inventory,and *** data,the framework first identifies students within school boundaries and links schools to students to *** framework then estimates dislocation induced by the disaster sce-nario and tracks the stage of post-disaster housing for each dislocated *** recovery of dislocated students is predicted using a multi-state markov chain model,which captures the sequences that households transition through the four stages of post-disaster housing(i.e.,emergency shelter,temporary shelter,temporary housing,and permanent housing)based on the social vulnerability of the ***,the framework predicts the number of students experiencing long-term homelessness and maps the students back to their pre-disaster *** proposed framework is exemplified for the case of Hurricane matthew-induced flooding in Lumberton,North *** highlight the disparate outcomes households with children face after major disasters and can be used to aid decision-making to reduce future disaster impacts on students.

BACKGROUND Gastrointestinal(GI)and liver diseases contribute to substantial inpatient morbidity,mortality,and healthcare resource *** ways to reduce the economic burden of healthcare costs and the impact of these diseases is of crucial ***-day readmission rates and related hospital outcomes can serve as objective measures to assess the impact of and provide further insights into the most common GI *** To identify the thirty-day readmission rates with related predictors and outcomes of hospitalization of the most common GI and liver diseases in the United *** A cross-sectional analysis of the 2012 National Inpatient Sample was performed to identify the 13 most common GI *** 2013 Nationwide Readmission Database was then queried with specific International Classification of Diseases,Ninth Revision,Clinical modification *** outcomes were mortality(index admission,calendar-year),hospitalization costs,and thirty-day readmission and secondary outcomes were predictors of thirty-day *** For the year 2013,the thirteen most common GI diseases contributed to 2.4 million index hospitalizations accounting for about$25 *** thirty-day readmission rates were highest for chronic liver disease(25.4%),Clostridium difficile(***)infection(23.6%),functional/motility disorders(18.5%),inflammatory bowel disease(16.3%),and GI bleeding(15.5%).The highest index and subsequent calendar-year hospitalization mortality rates were chronic liver disease(6.1%and 12.6%),*** infection(2.3%and 6.1%),and GI bleeding(2.2%and 5.0%),***-day readmission correlated with any subsequent admission mortality(r=0.798,P=0.001).medicare/medicaid insurances,≥3 Elixhauser comorbidities,and length of stay>3 d were significantly associated with thirty-day readmission for all the thirteen GI *** Preventable and non-chronic GI disease contributed to a significant economic and health

AIm:To support probe-based confocal laser endomi-croscopy (pCLE) diagnosis by designing software for the automated classification of colonic polyps. mETHODS:Intravenous fluorescein pCLE imaging of colorectal lesions was performed on patients under-going screening and surveillance colonoscopies, followed by polypectomies. All resected specimens were reviewed by a reference gastrointestinal pathologist blinded to pCLE information. Histopathology was used as the criterion standard for the differentiation between neoplastic and non-neoplastic lesions. The pCLE video sequences, recorded for each polyp, were analyzed off-line by 2 expert endoscopists who were blinded to the endoscopic characteristics and histopathology. These pCLE videos, along with their histopathology diagnosis, were used to train the automated classification software which is a content-based image retrieval technique followed by k-nearest neighbor classification. The performance of the off-line diagnosis of pCLE videos established by the 2 expert endoscopists was compared with that of automated pCLE software classification. All evaluations were performed using leave-one-patient- out cross-validation to avoid bias. RESULTS:Colorectal lesions (135) were imaged in 71 patients. Based on histopathology, 93 of these 135 lesions were neoplastic and 42 were non-neoplastic. The study found no statistical significance for the difference between the performance of automated pCLE software classification (accuracy 89.6%, sensitivity 92.5%, specificity 83.3%, using leave-one-patient-out cross-validation) and the performance of the off-line diagnosis of pCLE videos established by the 2 expert endoscopists (accuracy 89.6%, sensitivity 91.4%, specificity 85.7%). There was very low power (< 6%) to detect the observed differences. The efficient energy conversion of fuel cells is greatly constrained by the slow oxygen reduction reac tion(ORR)kinetics,which necessitates the use of highly active metal catalysts such as platinum(Pt).The critical challenge limiting large-scale usage of Pt is the capital cost that can be addressed through a pro totypical approach by embedding metal nanoparticles(NPs),e.g.,Pt NPs,in the conductive framework However,previously reported embedding approaches are sophisticated and suffer from limited yields leading to higher chemical process costs and remaining distant from commercial ***,we re port a facile,cost-effective and time-efficient structural tuning approach to synthesizing ultrafine Pt NP impregnated within a conductive and highly porous carbon framework via a microwave-assisted polyo reduction *** NPs with a uniform size of~2.27 nm can be successfully integrated within the pore of the carbon framework,enabling homogeneous *** from these highly dispersed and ultrafine Pt NPs,the electrochemical surface area(ECSA)is improved to 142.98 m^(2)/gPt,2.25 times highe than that of the commercial counterpart(63.52 m^(2)/gPt).Furthermore,our structurally optimized catalys composite features a remarkably catalytic activity with a high half-wave potential(E_(1/2))of 0.895 V and an improved mass activity(mA)of 0.2289 A/mgPt,2.39-fold improvement compared to the commercia *** addition,orthogonal experiments were designed to identify the key process parameter for fabricating Pt/C catalysts,offering insights for scaled-up and industrial production.

The systematic advances in the power conversion efficiency(PCE)and stability of perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have been driven by the developments of perovskite materials,electron transport layer(ETL)materials,and interfacial passivation between the relevant *** zinc oxide(ZnO)is a promising ETL in thin film photovoltaics,it is still highly desirable to develop novel synthetic methods that allow both fine-tuning the versatility of ZnO nanomaterials and improving the ZnO/perovskite *** various inorganic and organic additives,zwitterions have been effectively utilized to passivate the perovskite *** this vein,we develop novel,well-characterized betaine-coated ZnO QDs and use them as an ETL in the planar n-i-p PSC architecture,combining the ZnO QDs-based ETL with the ZnO/perovskite interface passivation by a series of ammonium halides(NH_(4)X,where X=F,Cl,Br).The champion device with the NH4F passivation achieves one of the highest performances reported for ZnO-based PSCs,exhibiting a maximum PCE of~22%with a high fill factor of 80.3%and competitive stability,retaining~78%of its initial PCE under 1 Sun illumination with maximum power tracking for 250 h.

The aim of the research was to examine the influence of organo-modified Indian bentonite （IB） nanoclay dispersed in vinyisster on the mechanical properties of nanoclaylvinylesterlglass nanocomposRes. Nanoclay was organically modified using cationic surfactant hexadecyltrimethylammonium bromide （HDTmA-Br） by cation exchange method and dispersed in vinylester using ultrasonication and twin screw extrusion. XRD of nanoclaylvinylester revealed exfoliaUon at 4 wt.% nanoclay indicating uniform dispersion in the polymer. DSC results showed improvement in glass transition temperature by 22.3% in 4 wt.% nanoclaylvinylester/glass when compared with that of vinylester/glass. Nanoclay/vinylester/glass with 4 wt,% nanoclay showed 29.23%, 23.84% and 60.87% improvement in ultimate tensile strength （UTS）, fiexural strength （FS） and interlaminar shear strength （ILSS） respectively when compared with those of vinylester! glass. The mode of tensile failure examined by SEm showed no agglomeration of nanoclay in 4 wt.% nanoclayNinylester/glass specimens.
