This article presents a mathematical model addressing a scenario involving a hybrid nanofluid flow between two infinite parallel plates. One plate remains stationary, while the other moves downward at a squeezing velocity. The space between these plates contains a Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium. A mixture of water-based fluid with gold(Au) and silicon dioxide(Si O2) nanoparticles is formulated. In contrast to the conventional Fourier's heat flux equation, this study employs the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux equation. A uniform magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the flow direction, invoking magnetohydrodynamic(mHD) effects. Further, the model accounts for Joule heating, which is the heat generated when an electric current passes through the fluid. The problem is solved via NDSolve in mATHEmATICA. Numerical and statistical analyses are conducted to provide insights into the behavior of the nanomaterials between the parallel plates with respect to the flow, energy transport, and skin *** findings of this study have potential applications in enhancing cooling systems and optimizing thermal management strategies. It is observed that the squeezing motion generates additional pressure gradients within the fluid, which enhances the flow rate but reduces the frictional drag. Consequently, the fluid is pushed more vigorously between the plates, increasing the flow velocity. As the fluid experiences higher flow rates due to the increased squeezing effect, it spends less time in the region between the plates. The thermal relaxation, however, abruptly changes the temperature, leading to a decrease in the temperature fluctuations.

Using astrometric techniques developed by Anderson et al., we determine proper motions （Pms） in the ~ 14.60 × 16.53 arcmin^2 area of the kinematically ＂thick-disk＂ globular cluster m 12. The cluster＇s proximity and sparse nature makes it a suitable target for ground-based telescopes. Archive images with time gap of ~ 11.1 years were observed with the wide-field imager （WFI） mosaic cam-era mounted on the ESO 2.2m telescope. The median value of Pm error in both components is 0.7masyr^-1 for the stars having V ≤ 20mag. Pms are used to determine membership probabil-ities and to separate field stars from the cluster sample. In electronic form, a membership catalog of 3725 stars with precise coordinates, Pms and BVRI photometry is being provided. One of the possible applications of the catalog is demonstrated by gathering the membership information of the variable stars, blue stragglers and X-ray sources reported earlier in the cluster＇s region.

Lignocellulosic substrates are a good carbon source and provide rich growth media for a variety of microorganisms which prodLuce industrially important enzymes. Cellulases are a group of hydrolytic enzymes such as filter paperase (FPase), carboxymethyl cellulase(CmCase) andβ-glucosidase-responsible for release of sugars in the bioconversion of the lignocellulosic biomass into a variety of value-added products. This study examined cellulase production by a newly isolated Aspergillus unguis on individual lignocellulosic substrates in solid state fermentation (SSF). The maximum peak production of enzymes varied from one substrate to another, however,based on the next best solid support and local availability of groundnut fodder supported maximum enzyme yields compared with other solid supports used in this *** fodder supported significant production of FPase (5.9 FPU/g of substrate), CmCase (1.1 U/g of substrate) andβ-glucosidase activity (6.5 U/g of substrate) in SSF. Considerable secretion of protein (27.0 mg/g of substrate) on groundnut fodder was recorded. Constant increment of protein content in groundnut fodder due to cultivation of A. unguis is an interesting observation and it has implications for the improvement of nutritive value of groundnut fodder for cattle.

Experimental and Quantum Studies on Adsorption and Corrosion Inhibition Effect on mild Steel in Hydrochloric Acid by Thiophene Derivatives

The inhibition effect of synthesized diethyl 3,4-bis（4-methoxybenzylideneamino） thieno[2,3-b] thiophene-2,5- dicarboxylate （Inh I） and diethyl 3,4-bis（benzylideneamino） thieno[2,3-b] thiophene-2,5-dicarboxylate （Inh II）, on cor- rosion of mild steel in 15% HC1 solution was investigated using weight loss measurements, electrochemical polarization, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy techniques. The experimental results show that the inhibition efficiency of studied inhibitors increased with the increase of inhibitors concentration but decreased with the increase of temperature. Corrosion inhibition efficiencies of 94.5% and 92.1% were obtained with 250 ppm of Inh I and Inh II at 303 k, respectively. The potentiodynamic polarization measurements indicate that the studied inhibitors act as mixed inhibitor. The thermodynamic parameters of the corrosion and adsorption processes were calculated and evaluated. The adsorption of these inhibitors was found to obey Langmuir adsorption isotherm. Scanning electron microscopy was used to characterize the surface morphology of the mild steel specimens in presence and absence of inhibitors. The mechanism of the inhibition process was discussed in the light of the chemical structure and quantum-chemical calculations of the investigated inhibitors.

This study examines the nonlinear behaviors of a clamped-clamped porous pipe made of a functionally graded material(FGm) that conveys fluids and is equipped with a retaining clip, focusing on primary resonance and subcritical dynamics. The nonlinear governing equations for the FGm pipe are derived by the extended Hamilton's principle, and subsequently discretized through the application of the Galerkin *** direct method of multi-scales is then used to solve the derived equations. A thorough analysis of various parameters, including the clip stiffness, the power-law index, the porosity, and the clip location, is conducted to gain a comprehensive understanding of the system's nonlinear dynamics. Through the analysis of the first natural frequency, the study highlights the influence of the flow velocity and the clip stiffness, while the comparisons with metallic pipes emphasize the role of FGm composition. The examination of the forced response curves reveals saddle-node bifurcations and their dependence on parameters such as the detuning parameter and the power-law index, offering valuable insights into the system's nonlinear resonant behavior. Furthermore, the frequency-response curves illustrate the hardening nonlinearities influenced by factors such as the porosity and the clip stiffness, revealing nuanced effects on the system response and resonance characteristics. This comprehensive analysis enhances the understanding of nonlinear behaviors in FGm porous pipes with a retaining clip, providing key insights for practical engineering applications in system design and optimization.
