In this work,we have explored wormhole(WH)solutions in F(R,L_(m))gravity by assuming the morris-Thorne WH metric and F(R,Lm)=R/2+(1+γR)L_(m),whereγis the free model parameter.We determined the WH solutions by utilizing two newly developed shape functions(SF)that satisfy all basic conditions for a WH’s physical validity.We also observe that the null energy condition(NEC)behaves negatively.Finally,for both models,we use the volume integral quantifier(VIQ)and Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff(TOV)equation to determine how much exotic matter is needed near the WH throat and the stability of the WH.The extensive detailed discussions of the matter components have been done via graphical analysis.The obtained WH geometries meet the physically acceptable conditions for a stable wormhole.

From economic and nutritional points of view,tomato is,historically,considered one of the most important crops.Without signiﬁcant yield reduction,most commercial cultivars of tomato crops are sensitive to moderate levels of salinity.However,high levels of salt stress can negatively affect the yield and quality of tomato fruits.Therefore,this study was conducted to evaluate the yield and fruit quality of three tomato cultivars(Forester,Ghandowra-F1,and Feisty-Red)cultivated hydroponically,under three different levels of nutrient solution salinity.Evaluation of tomato fruits was performed based on quantity(number and weight of fruits,and total fruit yield),physical quality(color andﬁrmness),and chemical quality(refractometric index“Brix”,pH,EC,k^(+),Na^(+),and NO_(3)-).Experiments were conducted using three salinity levels of the nutrient solution with electrical conductivity values(dSm^(-1))of 2.5(control),6.0,and 9.5.Results showed that the studied tomato cultivars were signiﬁcantly inﬂuenced by high salinity(9.5 dSm^(-1))in comparison to the low(2.5 dSm^(-1))and medium(6.0 dSm^(-1))levels of salinity.On average,the highest fruit weight per plant of 1944.84 g and total fruit yield of 4.42 kgm^(-2) were observed at the low salinity level;however,no signiﬁcant differences were obtained in the two yield factors(single fruit weight and total fruit yield)for the low and medium salinity levels.On the other hand,a signiﬁcant reduction in tomato yield(31%)was associated with the high salinity level compared to the yield at low and medium salinity levels.Results of physical quality parameters showed highly signiﬁcant differences among all salinity levels.On average,the maximum value of color change(1.72)was associated with the medium salinity level,and the maximum value ofﬁrmness(9.61 Ncm^(-1))was recorded at the high salinity level.Salinity levels and tomato cultivars introduced signiﬁcant differences in chemical quality parameters;however,no signiﬁcant differences in these parameters were attributed to the low and mediu

BACkGROUND Liver transplantation(LT)is a life-saving procedure for patients with end-stage liver disease and has become the standard and most effective treatment method for these patients.There are many indications for LT that vary between countries and settings.The outcome of LT depends on the available facilities and surgical expertise,as well as the types of liver graft donors available.AIm To assess the clinical characteristics of patients from Bahrain who underwent LT overseas,and analyze factors affecting their survival.mETHODS In this retrospective cohort study,we reviewed the medical records and overseas committee registry information of all pediatric and adult patients who were sent overseas to undergo LT by the Pediatric and medical Departments of Salmaniya medical Complex and Bahrain Defence Force Hospital via the Overseas Treatment Office,ministry of Health,kingdom of Bahrain,between 1997 and 2023.Demographic data,LT indication,donor-recipient relationship,overseas LT center,graft type,post-LT medications,and LT complications,were collected.Outcomes measured included the overall and 5-year LT survival rate.Fisher’s exact,Pearsonχ2,and mann-Whitney U tests were used to compare the pediatric and the adults’group in terms of clinical characteristics,donor-recipient relationship,medication,complications,and outcome.Survival analysis was estimated via the kaplan-meier’s method.Univariate and multivariate analyses were used to detect predictors of survival.RESULTS Of the 208 eligible patients,170(81.7%)were sent overseas to undergo LT while 38(18.3%)remained on the waiting list.Of the 170 patients,167(80.3%)underwent LT and were included in the study.The majority of the patients were Bahraini(91.0%),and most were males(57.5%).One-hundred-and-twenty(71.8%)were adults and 47(28.3%)were children.The median age at transplant was 50.0[interquartile range(IQR):14.9–58.4]years.The main indication for pediatric LT was biliary atresia(31.9%),while that of adult LT was hepatitis C-related cirrhosis(35.0%).Six(3.6%)pa

A series of orange-red light emitting Ca_(2)mgSi_(2)O_(7):Sm^(3+)nanopowders were fabricated via low-cost ecofriendly green combustion technique using Aloe vera gel as fuel.The phase purity of the samples were confirmed by the powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD)technique.Pure single-phase tetragonal structure is observed from the PXRD results with no additional impurity peaks.The band gap energy of the fabricated powders was estimated by diffuse reflectance spectra(DRS)and is found to be in the range of 4.01-5.98 eV.A high resolution scanning electron microscope(SEm)was used to study the morphological behaviour of the samples.Honeycomb-like structures are observed from the SEm results.The particle size was evaluated by transmission electron microscopy(TEm)and is found to be~50 nm.The interplanar distance is found to be 0.53 nm.Photoluminescence properties were systematically studied in detail.The phosphors are successfully excited at 403 nm NUV light,producing reddish-orange characteristic emission.The emission peaks are centered at 558(^(4)G_(5/2)→^(6)H_(5/2)),607(^(4)G_(5/2)→^(6)H_(7/2))and 645 nm(^(4)G_(5/2)→^(6)H_(9/2)),respectively.Among the observed peaks the red emanation(^(4)G_(5/2)→^(6)H_(7/2))is stronger than the orange emission(^(4)G_(5/2)→^(6)H_(5/2))in the current investigation.The photoluminescent concentration quenching is noticed above 5 mol%Sm^(3+)ion doping content.The dipole-dipole interaction resulting in cross relaxation is found to be the principal cause of concentration quenching mechanism.The color features such as Commission Internationale de I’Eclairage(CIE)and correlated color temperature(CCT)were studied in detail.The optimized chromaticity coordinates were estimated to be(0.6363,0.3632),which fall in the reddish-orange region.The average CCT value obtained is 3362 k.The average color purity is found to be~82%.Sm^(3+)incorporated Ca_(2)mgSi_(2)O_(7) samples are possible contender for single white light generation commercial candidates owing to their strong hypersensitivity of Sm^(3+)ions th

Objective:To examine the perioperative impact of factor V Leiden mutation on thromboembolic events'risk in radical prostatectomy(RP)patients.With an incidence of about 5%,factor V Leiden mutation is the most common hereditary hypercoagulability among Caucasians and rarer in Asia.The increased risk of thromboembolic events is three-to seven-fold in heterozygous and to 80-fold in homozygous patients.methods:Within our prospectively collected database,we analysed 33006 prostate cancer patients treated with RP between December 2001 and December 2020.Of those,patients with factor V Leiden mutation were identified.All patients received individualised recommendation of haemostaseologists for perioperative anticoagulation.Thromboembolic complications(deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism)were assessed during hospital stay,as well as according to patient reported outcomes within the first 3 months after RP.Results:Overall,85(0.3%)patients with known factor V Leiden mutation were identified.median age was 65(interquartile range:61-68)years.There was at least one thrombosis in 53(62.4%)patients and 31(36.5%)patients had at least one embolic event in their medical history before RP.Within all 85 patients with factor V Leiden mutation,we experienced no thromboembolic complications within the first 3 months after surgery.Conclusion:In our cohort of patients with factor V Leiden mutation,no thromboembolic events were observed after RP with an individualised perioperative coagulation management concept.This may reassure patients with this hereditary condition who are counselled for RP.

Fluoride is an impurity in nickel sulfate production,which is required for electric vehicle batteries.Hydrous zirconium oxide(HZO)was evaluated for removing fl uoride from nickel sulfate solution.maximum fluoride removal occurred at pH value 4 and optimal pH value is 4–5,considering Zr solubility.Fluoride availability decreases with pH due to hydrogen fluoride and zirconium fluoride aqueous species.Fluoride removal is initially rapid,with 50 wt.%removal in 7 min,followed by slow removal up to 68 wt.%after 72 h and follows second order rate kinetics.Fluoride removal was dominated by an ion exchange mechanism and resulting Zr–F bonds were observed using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy.The presence of nickel sulfate decreased loading capacity compared to a salt-free solution.HZO maintained adsorption capacity through five cycles of loading and regeneration.

The Lunar Environment heliospheric X-ray Imager(LEXI)and Solar wind magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer(SmILE)missions will image the Earth’s dayside magneto pause and cusps in soft X-rays after their respective launches in the near future,to specify glo bal magnetic reconnection modes for varying solar wind conditions.To suppo rt the success of these scientific missions,it is critical to develop techniques that extract the magnetopause locations from the observed soft X-ray images.In this research,we introduce a new geometric equation that calculates the subsolar magnetopause position(RS)from a satellite position,the look direction of the instrument,and the angle at which the X-ray emission is maximized.Two assumptions are used in this method:(1)The look direction where soft X-ray emissions are maximized lies tangent to the magnetopause,and(2)the magnetopause surface near the subsolar point is almost spherical and thus RSis nea rly equal to the radius of the magneto pause curvature.We create synthetic soft X-ray images by using the Open Geospace General Circulation model(OpenGGCm)global magnetohydrodynamic model,the galactic background,the instrument point spread function,and Poisson noise.We then apply the fast Fourier transform and Gaussian low-pass filte rs to the synthetic images to re move noise and obtain accurate look angles for the soft X-ray pea ks.From the filte red images,we calculate RS and its accuracy for different LEXI locations,look directions,and solar wind densities by using the OpenGGCm subsolar magnetopause location as ground truth.Our method estimates RS with an accuracy of10 cm-3.The accuracy improves for greater solar wind densities and during southward interplanetary magnetic fields.The method ca ptures the magnetopause motion during southwa rd interplaneta ry magnetic field turnings.Consequently,the technique will enable quantitative analysis of the magnetopause motion and help reveal the dayside reconnection modes for dynamic solar wind con

Precise chemical cue presentation alongside advanced brainwide imaging techniques is important to the study of chemosensory processing in animals.Nevertheless,the dynamic nature of chemical-carrying media,such as water or air,poses a significant challenge for delivering highly-controlled chemical flow to an animal subject.moreover,contact-based cue manipulation and delivery easily shift the position of the animal subject,which is often undesirable for high-quality brain imaging.Additionally,more advanced interfacing tools that align with the diverse range of body part sizes of an animal,ranging from micrometer-scale neurons to meter-long limbs,are much needed.This is particularly crucial when dealing with dimensions that are beyond the reach of conventional experimental tools.

Chinese Assam tea(Camellia sinensis var.assamica)is an important tea crop with a long history of cultivation in Yunnan,China.Despite its potential value as a genetic resource,its genetic diversity and domestication/breeding history remain unclear.To address this issue,we genotyped 469 ancient tea plant trees representing 26 C.sinensis var.assamica populations,plus two of its wild relatives(six and three populations of C.taliensis and C.crassicolumna,respectively)using 16 nuclear microsatellite loci.Results showed that Chinese Assam tea has a relatively high,but comparatively lower gene diversity(H_(S)=0.638)than the wild relative C.crassicolumna(H_S=0.658).Clustering in STRUCTURE indicated that Chinese Assam tea and its two wild relatives formed distinct genetic groups,with considerable interspecific introgression.The Chinese Assam tea accessions clustered into three gene pools,corresponding well with their geographic distribution.However,New Hybrids analysis indicated that 68.48%of ancient Chinese Assam tea plants from Xishuangbanna were genetic intermediates between the Puer and Lincang gene pools.In addition,10%of the ancient Chinese Assam tea individuals were found to be hybrids between Chinese Assam tea and C.taliensis.Our results suggest that Chinese Assam tea was domesticated separately in three gene pools(Puer,Lincang and Xishuangbanna)in the mekong River valley and that the hybrids were subsequently selected during the domestication process.Although the domestication history of Chinese Assam tea in southwestern Yunnan remains complex,our results will help to identify valuable genetic resources that may be useful in future tea breeding programs.
