The Venda Nova Pluton （VNP） is a zoned ring structure emplaced in the southern portion of the Neoproterozoic Araquai Belt, in Espirito Santo, Brazil. It is a slightly westward tilted cylinder-like intrusion, with an almost circular horizontal section. In the center of this structure, an off-centered gabbro-noritic core, surrounded by syeno-monzonitic rocks, intrudes an outer ring of charnockites and norite. These envelop the syeno-monzonitic and gabbro-noritic center, as a narrow discontinuous belt. While, in the core intrusion, mingling and mixing processes are widespread and well documented in the literature, in the outer ring, the norite and charnockite layers show predominantly homogeneous and isotropic internal structures. Nevertheless, smaller interaction zones between charnockites and norite denote a comparatively more restricted mingling process. The norite is a fine-grained rock with hypidio- morphic granular to intergranular texture. The charnockites are medium-grained and made up of：（a） orthopyroxene-tonalite, （h） orthopyroxene-quartz-diorite, and （c） orthopyroxene-granodiorite with hy- pidiomorphic granular to porphyritic textures. In all lithotypes both ortho- and clinopyroxene are replaced by hornblende and biotite. Two contrasting compositional sequences have been recognized, based on whole rock geochemistry：（1） a basic, with tholeiitic affinities （norite） and, （2） an intermediate, medium-K calc-alkalinc, comprising the charnockites. Estimated crystallization temperatures, which have been calculated from micro-probe analysis of pyroxenes, range from 915± 25 ℃ to 960 ± 50 ℃. Re-equilibration temperature （ihnenite-magnetite calibration） is around 600 ~ 50 ℃. This indicates oxygen fugacities four order of magnitude below the FmQ-buffer and a reduced environment. Coeval pressure conditions estimated from the Al-content in hornblende range from 5.5 ± 0.6 kbar. Data obtained for the norite point toward an evolution from the partial melting of an anhydrous

The predictability of certain environmental factors that affect the life cycle of the seabob shrimp Xiphopenaeus kroyeri(Heller,1862) was evaluated in a study of its reproductive biology in an area adjacent to Babitonga Bay,State of Santa Catarina,Brazil. monthly sampling was conducted from July 2010 through June 2011 at depths of 5,8,11,14,and 17 m.76 004 individuals were obtained,with a pronounced peak in absolute abundance in austral autumn(34 208),coinciding with the annual closed season from march to may. Grain size composition of the sediment showed the closest relationship to the distribution of individuals(multiple linear regression,P males(bearing spermatophores) and females with spent gonads(cross-correlation,P males and reproductive females(with a 1-month lag) suggest that the peak of reproductive males preceded the peak offemale ones. This result agrees with the pattern expected for females,which copulate in post-ecdysis(spent gonads). Spawning seemed to take place at greater depths,as evidenced by the concentration of reproductive females in these areas. The reproductive activities observed here confirm that this species follows a tropical/subtropical reproductive pattern,spawning continuously throughout the year,with the highest peaks in spring and autumn. The data indicate that the juvenile recruitment period observed in August-September resulted from the reproductive output noted in April–may. Additionally,the reproductive period recorded in November led to the juvenile peak observed in march–may.

微震监测技术是深部矿床地压监测的重要手段。简要概括了凡口铅锌矿深部矿床赋存条件、地压特征、地压灾害以及建立微震监测系统的必要性;对建立的16通道微震监测系统的组成、监测系统的性能、微震监测范围进行了详细介绍;通过对传感器布置优化分析,绘出传感器布置的一个优化分析结果的震源定位等值线实例图。采用人工放炮产生的震源对微震监测系统的震源定位性能进行测试,绘出测试结果和系统监测定位图,并比较实际测量和系统监测分析结果,两者结果对比表明,在传感器阵列内的震源定位误差不大于5m时,监测系统对震源具有较高的定位精度。采用该套系统对深部采区的大爆破余震进行监测发现,余震事件大多发生在数分钟之内,这表明目前采区围岩的稳定性较好。

The thin layer activation technique(TLA)is very effective in wear analysis for tribological systems where disassembly is costly or *** its development in the 1970s,TLA has been applied through direct irradiation of solid targets using ionizing particle beams to obtain an activation with a specific *** profile is then used to measure wear in a variety of *** experiments rely heavily on how deep the normalized activation *** of 30μm to 50μm are obtained for constant activation by the standard method,which for many experiments is ***,many others would benefit greatly from a 300μm constant activation layer,such as high-performance engines,softer alloys(brakes),and oil transport *** this aim was the goal of this ***,we needed to find an adequate irradiation line for the TLA ***,another technique/system was developed(the Attenuation Wheel),which would bring the depth of constant activation from 50μm to 300μm.

The disposal of mining tailings has increasingly focused on the use of dry *** structures offer more security since they use filtered and compacted *** of the construction method and the heights achieved,the material that compounds the structure can be subjected to different stress paths along the failure *** theoretical framework considered in the design of these structures generally is the critical state soil mechanics(CSSm).However,the data in the literature concerning the uniqueness of critical state line(CSL)is still controversial as the soil is subjected to different stress *** respect to tailings,this question is even more *** paper studies two tailings with different gradings due to the beneficial processes over extension and compression paths.A series of drained and undrained triaxial tests was conducted over a range of initial densities and stress *** the q-p'plane,different critical stress ratio(m)values were obtained for compression and extension stress ***,the critical state friction angle is very similar with a slightly higher critical state friction angle for extension *** stress path dependent CSLs were obtained in the n-lnp0 plane with the extension tests below the CSL defined in *** the fines content,the studied tailings presented very similar m and critical state friction angle ***,the fines content af-fects the volumetric behavior of the studied tailings and the CSLs on the n-lnp0 plane shift downwards with the increasing fines content for compression and extension *** relation to dilatancy analysis,the fines content did not present an evident influence on the dilatancy of the ***,different values of mean stress ratio N were obtained between compression and extension tests and can corroborate the existence of non-unique CSLs for these materials.

mily:Verdana;">Background: Chikungunya fever is an infectious disease that can evolve to a subacute or chronic condition, with changes in the daily activities of patients. Drugs that aim to reduce these symptoms are used, such as corticoids (acute phase) and disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (chronic phase). Objective: To evaluate the clinical response to drug therapy in the subacute and chronic phase of infection by the Chikungunya virus. methodology: A prospective and a retrospective study with patients with subacute and chronic Chikungunya infection, out at the infection and autoimmunity outpatient clinic at the Nucleus of Tropical medicine, from January 2016 to December 2019, in the morning of Thursdays. The patient was observed in the Baseline, first and second return, and drugs were introduced according to the stage of the disease with subsequent reassessment. The Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) was applied to all evaluation moments. Results: 101 patients were evaluated, and arthralgia was the predominant symptom in the three evaluated moments. According to the VAS, moderate baseline pain was observed in 58.1% and 58.6% of subacute and chronic cases, respectively. On the first return, moderate pain still predominated in 46.2% in subacute cases and 43% in chronic cases. In the second visit, all patients were in the chronic phase of the disease, 43.8% had VAS with no pain. Regarding the number of compromised joints in the Baseline, polyarticular involvement predominated in both subacute (79%) and chronic (74.1%) cases, in the first return, oligoarticular involvement predominated in 53.8% of subacute cases and 54.7% in chronic cases and, the second return, 40.6% of the patients had oligoarticular involvement and 43.8% had no joint involvement. As for the use of medications in the Baseline, 33.4% of subacute cases used antiinflammatory drugs,

The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of different water deficiency and rehydration levels on the concentrations of osmoregulators in two plant species（Hymenaea courbaril and H. Stigonocarpa） in the Amazon. We adopted a 2×5×5 factorial system,referring to 2 species（H. courbaril and H. stigonocarpa）and 5 stages of hydration and rehydration. The five hydration and rehydration stages were established in:（1）Control treatment E0;（2） Plants with 13 days of stress after incubation—E13;（3） Plants with 26 days of stress E26;（4）The plants that were established after 26 days after incubation and rehydrated for two days（RD2）;（5） rehydrated for two days（RD4）. The plants that were established after 26 days after incubation and rehydrated for four days. The experiment totaled fifty young plants with five *** measurements were performed at the beginning of the experiment（E0） at 13（E13） and 26（E26） days after the water stress, in which the plants were rehydrated,repeating the analyses after two（RD2） and four（RD4）days. Both species increased the sucrose concentration by18%, with a decrease of 52% in starch content. The RD4 time presented the highest mean starch concentration(0.19 mmol g-1 of the residue for H. courbaril and0.27 mmol g;of residue for H. stigonocarpa). Increased proline concentrations were recorded for controls until RD2 for both species. For glycine betaine, the highest increases in treatments E26 and RD2 were observed for the H. courbaril species. Our rehydration period was not sufficient for total recovery of pre-stress concentrations of all studied solutes.
