Two-dimensional C2N-based single-atom catalyst with complex microenvironment for enhanced electrochemical nitrogen reduction:A descriptor-based design

The catalytic descriptor with operational feasibility is highly desired towards rational design of high-performance catalyst especially the electrode/electrolyte solution interface working under mild ***,we demonstrate that the descriptor Ω parameterized by readily accessible intrinsic properties of metal center and coordination is highly operational and efficient in rational design of single-atom catalyst（SAC） for driving electrochemical nitrogen reduction（NRR）.Using twodimensional metal（m）-BxPySzNm@C2N as prototype SAC models,we reveal that*N2+（H++e-）→*N2H acts predominantly as the potential-limiting step（PLS） of NRR on m-B2P2S2@C2N and m-B1P1S1N3@C2N regardless of the distinction in coordination *** the 28 screened m active sites,with Ω values close to the optimal 4,m-B2P2S2@C2N(m=V（Ω=3.53）,mo（Ω=5.12）,and W（Ω=3.92）) and m-B1P1S1N3@C2N(m=V（Ω=3.00）,mo（Ω=4.34）,and W（Ω=3.32）) yield the lowered limiting potential（UL） as-0.45,-0.54.-0.36,-0.58,-0.25,and-0.24 V,respectively,thus making them the promising NRR *** importantly,these SACs are located around the top of volcano-shape plot of ULversus Ω,re-validating Ω as an effective descriptor for accurately predicting the high-activity NRR SACs even with complex *** study unravels the relationship between active-site structure and NRR performance via the descriptor Ω,which can be applied to other important sustainable electrocatalytic reactions involving activation of small molecules via σ-donation and π*-backdonation mechanism.

Layered LiNi_(1-x-y)Co_(x)m_(y)O_(2)(m=mn or Al)is a promising cathode material for lithium-ion batteries due to its high specific capacity and acceptable manufacturing ***,the polycrystalline LiNi_(1-x-y)Co_(x)m_(y)O_(2) cathode material suffers from disordered orientation of primary particles and poor geometric symmetry of secondary particles,which severely hampers the migration of Lit ***,the resulting anisotropy accelerates the disintegration of the secondary particle structure,significantly affecting the electrochemical performance of the polycrystalline *** spite of less grain boundary,the single-crystal LiNi_(1-x-y)Co_(x)m_(y)O_(2) cathodes still suffer from severe microcracks generated by repeated planar gliding during cycling,which poses a great challenge to the cycling stability of single-crystal ***'s worth noting that the microstructure of the cathode material is mainly inherited from its ***,it is necessary to deeply understand the influence of the microstructure of Ni_(1-x-y)Co_(x)m_(y)(OH)2 on the electrochemical properties of LiNi_(1-x-y)Co_(x)m_(y)O_(2) cathode materials,so as to optimize the production process of preparing high-performance cathode *** this review,we summarize recent advances in the research and development of Ni-rich cathode precursor ***,the challenges faced by the Ni-rich hydroxide precursor materials are presented,including the effect of primary particle morphology and arrangement on the electrochemical performance of cathode materials,the influence of secondary particle morphology on lithium insertion reactions in cathode,and the effect of particle size on the microcracking of single-crystal ***,the presentation of the conventional co-precipitation reactor,the mechanism of precursor particle growth,and the influence of coprecipitation parameters are described in ***,the strategies are systematically discussed to solve the cha

Conductive hydrogels have attracted extensive attention owing to their promising application prospects in flexible and wearable ***,achieving both high sensitivity and mechanical robustness remains ***,a novel and versatile conductive hydrogel based on the hybrid assem-bly of conductive cellulose nanofiber(CNF)networks has been designed and *** by the templating effect of CNFs and stabilizing effect of negatively charged poly(styrene sulfonate)(PSS),conducting polymer poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOT)was self-organized into three-dimensional nanostructures which constructed a robust conductive network after in-situ oxidative *** unique structure derived from CNF bio-template endowed polyacrylamide(PAm)hydrogels with improved electrical conductivity and excellent mechanical *** a result,the as-fabricated CNF/PEDOT:PSS/PAm hydrogel exhibited an ultimate tensile strain of 1881%and toughness of 3.72 mJ/m^(3),which were 4.07 and 8.27 times higher than the CNF-free hydrogel,*** significantly,the resultant hydrogel sensor showed highly desirable sensing properties,including remarkable sensing range(1100%),high gauge factor(GF=5.16),fast response time(185 ms),and commendable durability,as well as good ***,the hydrogel sensor was able to distinguish subtle physiological activities including phonation and facial expression,and monitor large human body motions such as finger flexion and elbow ***,it was feasible to integrate the strain sensor on the joints of robots to recognize complicated machine motion signals,showing potential in advanced human-machine interactions.

The interactions between lignin oligomers and solvents determine the behaviors of lignin oligomers self-assembling into uniform lignin nanoparticles(LNPs).Herein,several alcohol solvents,which readily interact with the lignin oligomers,were adopted to study their effects during solvent shifting process for LNPs’*** lignin oligomers with widely distributed molecular weight and abundant guaiacyl units were extracted from wood waste(mainly consists of pine wood),exerting outstanding self-assembly *** and spherical LNPs were generated in H_(2)O-n-propanol cosolvent,whereas irregular LNPs were obtained in H_(2)O-methanol *** unsatisfactory self-assembly performance of the lignin oligomers in H_(2)O-methanol cosolvent could be attributed to two *** one hand,for the initial dissolution state,the distinguishing Hansen solubility parameter and polarity between methanol solvent and lignin oligomers resulted in the poor dispersion of the lignin *** the other hand,strong hydrogen bonds between methanol solvent and lignin oligomers during solvent shifting process,hindered the interactions among the lignin oligomers for self-assembly.

Food allergy is a significant public health concern *** probiotics have been found to enhance food allergy by regulating immune-microbe interactions in animal models and ***,the effects of Bifidobacterium lactis Probio-m8 on food allergy have not been thoroughly *** present study examined the anti-allergic properties of Probio-m8,particularly in relation to immune response and gut microbiota *** demonstrate that oral administration of Probio-m8 effectively mitigated the allergy symptoms triggered by ovalbumin(OVA)by ameliorating the morphological damage in the jejunum,reducing OVA-specific IgE and histamine levels in the serum,and suppressing Th2 cytokines(interleukin(IL)4 and IL-13)while increasing Th1 cytokines(interferon(IFN)γ)and regulatory T(Treg)cytokines(IL-10 and transforming growth factor(TGF)β1)in the culture supernatants of splenic ***,Probio-m8 effectively altered the diversity and composition of gut microbiota,particularly the relative abundances of Akkermansia_muciniphila in OVA-induced *** to the OVA group,the Probio-m8 group showed a decrease in the relative abundance of Akkermansia_*** conclusion,Probio-m8 demonstrates the potential to alleviate food allergy by regulating the Th1/Th2 response and modulating gut microbiota,thereby offering a novel therapeutic strategy for patients with food allergy.

In order to reduce the labor intensity of high-altitude workers and realize the cleaning and maintenance of high-rise building exteriors,this paper proposes a design for a 4-DOF bipedal wall-climbing bionic robot inspired by the inchworm’s *** robot utilizes vacuum adsorption for vertical wall attachment and legged movement for *** enhance the robot’s movement efficiency and reduce wear on the adsorption device,a gait mimicking an inchworm’s movement is planned,and foot trajectory planning is performed using a quintic polynomial *** velocity constraints,foot trajectory optimization is achieved using an improved Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)algorithm,determining the quintic polynomial function with the best fitness through ***,through comparative experiments,the climbing time of the robot closely matches the simulation results,validating the trajectory planning method’s accuracy.

The control of large deformation problems in layered soft rock tunnels needs to solve *** roof problem is particularly severe among the deformation issues in *** study first analyzes the asymmetric deformation modes in layered soft rock tunnels with large ***,we construct a mechanical model under ideal conditions for controlling the roof of layered soft rock tunnels through high preload with the support of NPR anchor *** prominent roles of long and short NPR anchor cables in the support system are also *** results indicate the significance of high preload in controlling the roof of layered soft rock *** short NPR anchor cables effectively improve the integrity of the stratified soft rock layers,while the long NPR anchor cables effectively mobilize the self-bearing capacity of deep-stable rock ***,the high-preload support method with NPR anchor cables is validated to have a good effect on controlling large deformations in layered soft rock tunnels through field monitoring data.

The majority of the projectiles used in the hypersonic penetration study are solid flat-nosed cylindrical projectiles with a diameter of less than 20 *** study aims to fill the gap in the experimental and analytical study of the evolution of the nose shape of larger hollow projectiles under hypersonic *** the hypersonic penetration test,eight ogive-nose Aermet100 steel projectiles with a diameter of 40 mm were launched to hit concrete targets with impact velocities that ranged from 1351 to 1877 m/*** erosion of the projectiles was observed during high-speed penetration of heterogeneous targets,and apparent localized mushrooming occurred in the front nose of recovered *** examining the damage to projectiles,a linear relationship was found between the relative length reduction rate and the initial kinetic energy of projectiles in different penetration ***,microscopic analysis revealed the forming mechanism of the localized mushrooming phenomenon for eroding penetration,i.e.,material spall erosion abrasion mechanism,material flow and redistribution abrasion mechanism and localized radial upsetting deformation ***,a model of highspeed penetration that included erosion was established on the basis of a model of the evolution of the projectile nose that considers radial upsetting;the model was validated by test data from the literature and the present *** upon the impact velocity,v0,the projectile nose may behave as undistorted,radially distorted or *** to the effects of abrasion of the projectile and enhancement of radial upsetting on the duration and amplitude of the secondary rising segment in the pulse shape of projectile deceleration,the predicted DOP had an upper limit.

The ozone(O_(3))pollution in China drew lots of attention in recent years,and the Sichuan Basin(SCB)was one of the regions confronting worsening O_(3)pollution *** previous studies have shown that regional transport is an important contributor to O_(3)***,very few features of the O_(3)profile during transport have been reported,especially in the border regions between different administrative *** this study,we conducted tethered balloon soundings in SCB during the summer of 2020 and captured a nocturnal O_(3)transport event during the ***,the O_(3)transport occurred in the bottom of the residual layer,between 200 and 500 m above ground ***,the transport pathway was directed from southeast to northwest based on the analysis of the wind field and air mass *** effect of transport in the residual layer on the surface O_(3)concentration was related to the spatial distribution of O_(3).For cities with high O_(3)concentrations in the upwind region,the transport process would bring clean air masses and abate *** downwind lightly polluted cities,the transport process would slow down the decreasing or even increase the surface O_(3)concentration during the *** provided observational facts on the profile features of a transboundary O_(3)transport event between two provincial administrative divisions,which implicated the importance of joint prevention and control ***,the sounding parameters were limited and the quantitative analysis was preliminary,more integrated,and thorough studies of this topic were called for in the future.
