The composition and evolution of interfacial species play a key role during electrocatalytic *** the structural evolution and intermediate during catalytic process by in situ characterization can shed new light on the electrocatalytic reaction mechanism and develop highly efficient ***,directly probing the interfacial species is extremely difficult for most spectroscopic techniques due to complicated interfacial environment and ultra-low surface ***,electrochemical core-shell nanoparticle enhanced Raman spectroscopy is utilized to probe the composition and evolution processes of interfacial species on Au@Pt,Au@Co,and Au@PtCo core-shell nanoparticle *** spectral evidences of interfacial intermediates including hydroxide radical(OH*),superoxide ion(O_(2)^(−)),as well as metal oxide species are directly captured by in situ Raman spectroscopy,which are further confirmed by the both isotopic experiment and density functional theory *** results provide a mechanistic guideline for the rational design of highly efficient electrocatalysts.

Aloe emodin promotes mucosal healing by modifying the differentiation fate of enteroendocrine cells via regulating cellular free fatty acid sensitivity

The proper differentiation and reorganization of the intestinal epithelial cell population is critical to mucosal regeneration post *** retaining cells(LRCs)expressing SRY-box transcription factor 9(SOX9)promote epithelial repair by replenishing LGR5 t intestinal stem cells(ISCs).While,LRCs are also considered precursor cells for enteroendocrine cells(EECs)which exacerbate mucosal damage in inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).The factors that determine LRC-EEC differentiation and the effect of intervening in LRC-EEC differentiation on IBD remain *** this study,we investigated the effects of a natural anthraquinone called aloe emodin(derived from the Chinese herb rhubarb)on mucosal healing in IBD *** findings demonstrated that aloe emodin effectively interfered with the differentiation to EECs and preserved a higher number of SOX9t LRCs,thereby promoting mucosal ***,we discovered that aloe emodin acted as an antagonist of free fatty acid receptors(FFAR1),suppressing the FFAR1-mediated Gbg/serine/threonine-protein kinase(AKT)pathway and promoting the translocation of forkhead box protein O1(FOXO1)into the nucleus,ultimately resulting in the intervention of differentiation *** findings reveal the effect of free fatty acid accessibility on EEC differentiation and introduce a strategy for promoting mucosal healing in IBD by regulating the FFAR1/AKT/FOXO1 signaling pathway.

RNA barcode segments for SARS-CoV-2 identification from HCoVs and SARSr-CoV-2 lineages

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),the pathogen responsible for coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),continues to evolve,giving rise to more variants and global *** research has demonstrated that barcode segments can effectively and cost-efficiently identify specific species within closely related *** this study,we designed and tested RNA barcode segments based on genetic evolutionary relationships to facilitate the efficient and accurate identification of SARS-CoV-2 from extensive virus samples,including human coronaviruses(HCoVs)and SARSr-CoV-2 *** sequences sourced from NCBI and GISAID were meticulously selected and curated to construct training sets,encompassing 1733 complete genome sequences of HCoVs and SARSr-CoV-2 *** genetic-level species testing,we validated the accuracy and reliability of the barcode segments for identifying ***,75 main and subordinate species-specific barcode segments for SARS-CoV-2,located in ORF1ab,S,E,ORF7a,and N coding sequences,were intercepted and screened based on single-nucleotide polymorphism sites and weighted ***-testing,these segments exhibited high recall rates(nearly 100%),specificity(almost 30%at the nucleotide level),and precision(100%)performance on *** were eventually visualized using one and two-dimensional combined barcodes and deposited in an online database(http://***/).The successful integration of barcoding technology in SARS-CoV-2 identification provides valuable insights for future studies involving complete genome sequence polymorphism ***,this cost-effective and efficient identification approach also provides valuable reference for future research endeavors related to virus surveillance.

Chimeric antigen receptor(CAR)T-cell therapy has demonstrated clinical response in treating both hematologic malignancies and solid *** instances of rapid tumor remissions have been observed in animal models and clinical trials,tumor relapses occur with multiple therapeutic resistance ***,while the mechanisms underlying the long-term therapeutic resistance are well-known,short-term adaptation remains less ***,more views shed light on short-term adaptation and hold that it provides an opportunity window for long-term *** this study,we explore a previously unreported mechanism in which tumor cells employ trogocytosis to acquire CAR molecules from CAR-T cells,a reversal of previously documented *** mechanism results in the depletion of CAR molecules and subsequent CAR-T cell dysfunction,also leading to short-term antigen loss and antigen *** type of intercellular communication is independent of CAR downstream signaling,CAR-T cell condition,target antigen,and tumor cell ***,it is mainly dependent on antigen density and CAR sensitivity,and is associated with tumor cell cholesterol *** mitigation of this trogocytosis-induced CAR molecule transfer can be achieved by adaptively administering CAR-T cells with antigen density-individualized CAR ***,our study reveals a dynamic process of CAR molecule transfer and refining the framework of clinical CAR-T therapy for solid tumors.

Using the GEANT4 and Cosmic Ray monte Carlo(CRmC)software packages,we developed a new simulation toolkit for astrophysical neutrino *** configuring the Baikal-GVD detector and comparing the vertex position and direction of incident particles,as well as the channel-by-channel signals,to the events detected by Baikal-GVD,we successfully generated 13 high-energy cascade neutrino events with the *** analysis revealed a systematic offset between the reconstructed shower position and the true interaction position,with a distance close to the scale of the shower maximum of−0.54±1.29 *** achieved a good linear relationship between the photoelectron number of neutrino events obtained by simulation and the real data measured by *** simulation toolkit could serve as a reliable basis for studying the performance of astrophysical neutrino telescopes.

Aggregate-induced emission luminogens(AIEgens) have been widely used in biological imaging, chemical sensing, and disease treatments. The rational design and construction of AIEgens have received considerable research interests during the last few years. Herein, molecular docking-aided AIEgen design has been reasonably proposed and AIEgen TBQZY with excellent ~1O_(2) generation ability has been synthesized. The newly developed TBQZY could efficiently kill S. epidermidis and methicillinresistant S. epidermidis(mRSE) by tightly binding to bacteria and triggering the accumulation of ~1O_(2) in bacteria. TBQZY specifically regulated the immune system and polarized macrophages from m1 to m2 to accelerate the elimination of biofilm in vivo. In addition, healing acceleration was observed in chronic wounds treated with TBQZY, and side effects were ***, TBQZY had extraordinary potential for combating drug-resistant bacteria in the clinical setting. This research not only provided new concepts for the design of AIEgens, but also shed some lights on the discovery of drugs against drug-resistant bacteria.

The remarkable properties of carbon nanotubes(CNTs)have led to promising applications in the field of electromagnetic inter-ference(EmI)***,for macroscopic CNT assemblies,such as CNT film,achieving high electrical and mechanical properties remains challenging,which heavily depends on the tube-tube interac-tions of ***,we develop a novel strategy based on metal-organic decomposition(mOD)to fabricate a flexible silver-carbon nanotube(Ag-CNT)*** Ag particles are introduced in situ into the CNT film through annealing of mOD,leading to enhanced tube-tube *** a result,the electrical conductivity of Ag-CNT film is up to 6.82×10^(5) S m^(-1),and the EmI shielding effectiveness of Ag-CNT film with a thickness of~7.8μm exceeds 66 dB in the ultra-broad frequency range(3-40 GHz).The tensile strength and young’s modulus of Ag-CNT film increase from 30.09±3.14 to 76.06±6.20 mPa(~253%)and from 1.12±0.33 to 8.90±0.97 GPa(~795%),***,the Ag-CNT film exhibits excellent near-field shield-ing performance,which can effectively block wireless *** innovative approach provides an effective route to further apply macroscopic CNT assemblies to future portable and wearable electronic devices.

Cumulative effects of excess high-normal alanine aminotransferase levels in relation to new-onset metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease in China

BACKGROUND Within the normal range,elevated alanine aminotransferase(ALT)levels are associated with an increased risk of metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease(mAFLD).AIm To investigate the associations between repeated high-normal ALT measurements and the risk of new-onset mAFLD *** A cohort of 3553 participants followed for four consecutive health examinations over 4 years was *** incidence rate,cumulative times,and equally and unequally weighted cumulative effects of excess high-normal ALT levels(ehALT)were *** proportional hazards regression was used to analyse the association between the cumulative effects of ehALT and the risk of new-onset *** A total of 83.13%of participants with mAFLD had normal ALT *** incidence rate of mAFLD showed a linear increasing trend in the cumulative ehALT *** with those in the low-normal ALT group,the multivariate adjusted hazard ratios of the equally and unequally weighted cumulative effects of ehALT were 1.651[95%confidence interval(CI):1.199-2.273]and 1.535(95%CI:1.119-2.106)in the third quartile and 1.616(95%CI:1.162-2.246)and 1.580(95%CI:1.155-2.162)in the fourth quartile,*** most participants with mAFLD had normal ALT ***-term high-normal ALT levels were associated with a cumulative increased risk of new-onset mAFLD.
