The E2F/DP pathway is a widely conserved regulatory mechanism in pluricellular *** family of E2F and DP transcription factors was originally described having a role in the transition from the G1 to the S phase of the cell ***,the discovery of hundreds of possible gene targets and their involvement in many other biochemical processes,soon showed that they participated in cell development and differentiation,chromatin remodeling,DNA repair and *** E2F/DP transcription factors can act as either activators or repressors of transcription depending on their association to other regulatory proteins,particularly the retinoblastoma protein,or even depending to their protein structure that can define their *** plants the E2F/DP pathway also regulates endoreduplication,a process present along the life cycle,from organ elongation to root differentiation and *** transcription factors also help plant cells to respond to environmental disturbances such as those caused by different types of radiation,or by *** review focuses on the“so called”non-canonical functions of the E2F/DP family proteins in animal and plant cells,that are in fact essential activities that connect regulatory circuits among multiple metabolic pathways by means of their atypical functions.

The very high (up to 820% of the magnetoimpedance ratio) and sensitive nonlinear giant magnetoimpedance effect has been studied in the FeCo1Ni magnetic tubes electroplated onto Cu(3%)Be nonmagnetic wirefor frequencies from 1-10mHz. Special annealing was carried out in order to induce the magnetic anisotropy. The high harmonic generation was observed and the harmonics show larger variations with the external magnetic field than the fundamental frequency. The super high sensitivity of the harmonics is promising as regards the increase of the sensitivity of magnetoimpedance sensors.

Over the past century,age-related diseases,such as cancer,type-2 diabetes,obesity,and mental illness,have shown a significant increase,negatively impacting overall quality of *** on aged animal models have unveiled a progressive discoordination at multiple regulatory levels,including transcriptional,translational,and post-translational processes,resulting from cellular stress and circadian *** circadian clock emerges as a key regulator,sustaining physiological homeostasis and promoting healthy aging through timely molecular coordination of pivotal cellular processes,such as stem-cell function,cellular stress responses,and inter-tissue communication,which become disrupted during *** the crucial role of hypothalamic circuits in regulating organismal physiology,metabolic control,sleep homeostasis,and circadian rhythms,and their dependence on these processes,strategies aimed at enhancing hypothalamic and circadian function,including pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches,offer systemic benefits for healthy *** brain-directed drug administration represents a promising avenue for effectively targeting specific brain regions,like the hypothalamus,while reducing side effects associated with systemic drug delivery,thereby presenting new therapeutic possibilities for diverse age-related conditions.

Background: The aim of this study was to determine how maternal undernutrition during pregnancy and offspring birth-weight can affect the postnatal development of offspring under farm conditions, which may lead to consequences in its meat and carcass quality. The current study involved a total of 80 litters from Iberian sows fed a diet fulfilling daily requirements(n = 47; control) or providing 70% daily requirements(n = 33; underfed) from d 38 to d 90 of gestation when fetal tissue development begins. After birth, piglets born live were classified as low birthweight(LBW; mal birth-weight(NBW; ≥1 kg). During the growing phase, 240 control and 230 underfed pigs(50% males and females) distributed by BW category and sex were studied until the ***: At birth and weaning, there were significant differences in all morphological measures and weight between NBW and LBW piglets as expected(P valuation(P ven though control-LBW-females and LBW-males showed a catch-up growth. However, underfed pigs showed slower growth and higher feed conversion ratio than control pigs(P moreover, the average daily weight gain(ADWG) for the overall period was greater for NBW, male and control pigs than for their LBW, female and underfed pigs(P vely) and NBW pigs were slaughtered at a younger age than LBW pigs(P maternal nutritional effect caused main changes in the polar lipid fraction of liver and loin. The fatty acid composition of loin in control pigs had higher C18:1 n-9 and n-3 FA concentrations, as well as lower ∑n-6/∑n-3 ratio, than in underfed pigs(P < 0.005).Conclusions: In brief, results showed

Impact of device resistances in the performance of graphene‑based terahertz photodetectors

During 2009, 48% of farmland in mexicali valley （mv）, Baja California, mexico was used for growing wheat for grain, it means 88,439 Ha. Although wheat is a priority crop in Baja California, farmers of mv do not have options for the proper disposal of wheat straw generated as a remnant of the crop of wheat. Because of this, wheat straw is considered a problematic and worthless waste, and it is discarded through a burning in situ. 85% of the straw is burned. This practice is used to dispose 548,764 t of waste. This work analyses the feasibility of exploitation of 6.86 PJ of heat energy per cycle from agricultural waste biomass to be used as fuel for power generation. The results indicate that the potential for electricity production accounts for 9% of the installed capacity of geothermal park Cerro Prieto （720 mW） located in mv and 6.6 times the installed capacity of the wind farm La Rumorosa （10 mW）, located in the municipality of Tecate.

In recent years,graphene field-effect-transistors(GFETs)have demonstrated an outstanding potential for terahertz(THz)photodetection due to their fast response and *** features are essential to enable emerging THz applications,including 6G wireless communications,quantum information,bioimaging and ***,the overall performance of these photodetectors may be utterly compromised by the impact of internal resistances presented in the device,so-called access or parasitic *** this work,we provide a detailed study of the influence of internal device resistances in the photoresponse of high-mobility dual-gate GFET *** dual-gate architectures allow us to fine tune(decrease)the internal resistance of the device by an order of magnitude and consequently demonstrate an improved responsivity and noise-equivalent-power values of the photodetector,*** results can be well understood by a series resistance model,as shown by the excellent agreement found between the experimental data and theoretical *** findings are therefore relevant to understand and improve the overall performance of existing high-mobility graphene photodetectors.

The present study investigates the physical and chemical characteristics,behavior in vitro and in vivo,and biocompatibility of coatings containing Ta_(2)O_(5),which are obtained by plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO)on mA8 magnesium *** obtained coatings demonstrate in vivo biocompatibility and in vitro *** to the base PEO coating,the layers containing Ta_(2)O_(5)facilitate the development of apatite in simulated body fluid,suggesting that the inclusion of nanoparticles improves bioactivity of the *** was found that incorporation of Ta_(2)O_(5)nanoparticles increases roughness and porosity of the formed layers by increasing particle concentration in electrolytes for the PEO process contributing to sufficient soft tissue ingrowth in *** on in vivo studies,these coatings also provide favorable tissue response and minimal inflammatory reaction in comparison with the bare magnesium alloy due to protection of living tissues from deleterious corrosion events of magnesium implant such as local alkalization and intense hydrogen *** results obtained in the present study concluded biocompatibility,tissue integration of the PEO coatings containing Ta_(2)O_(5)nanoparticles making them a promising protective layer for biodegradable magnesium implants.

Geochemical and mineralogical studies were performed in the La Pesca(LP)and Tesoro Altamira(TA)beach sediments,located in the Tamaulipas state,northern Gulf of *** main aim of this study is to infer the weathering history and provenance and to discriminate the tectonic environment of the beach *** sediments are composed of quartz with small amounts of accessory minerals such as plagioclase,calcite,orthoclase,microcline,and *** beach sediments are classified as fine-grained and very well sorted,however LP has coarse skewed and leptokurtic sediments,whereas TA has fine-skewed and very leptokurtic *** chemical index of weathering(CIW’)indicates intense weathering in the source *** quartz grain microtextures in the LP and TA are classified into mechanical,chemical,and mechanical/chemical *** features such as fractures,pits,percussion marks,abrasion fatigue,and v-shaped marks favor high-energy littoral,fluvial,subaqueous-marine,and aeolian *** chemical features indicate solution pits and crystalline overgrowth,which suggests a silica saturated marine *** mechanical/chemical features display adhering particles and elongated depressions suggest formation in a sub-aqueous nearshore marine *** and trace elements-based provenance discrimination diagrams indicate a felsic source derived from the mesa Central(mC),Sierra madre Oriental(SmOr)and Oaxaquia *** major and trace element concentrations imply a passive margin setting for the northern Gulf of mexico,which is consistent with the general geology.
