The viscosity of a substance or material is intensely influenced by the temperature,especially in the field of lubricant engineering where the changeable temperature is well *** this paper,the problem of temperature-dependent viscosity on mixed convection flow of Eyring Powell fluid was studied together with Newtonian heating thermal boundary *** flow was assumed to move over a vertical stretching *** model of the problem,which is in partial differential equations,was first transformed to ordinary differential equations using appropriate *** approach was considered to reduce the complexity of the ***,the transformed equations were solved using the Keller box method under the finite difference scheme *** validation process of the results was performed,and it was found to be in an excellent *** results on the present computation are shown in tabular form and also graphical *** major finding was observed where the skin friction and Nusselt number were boosted in the strong viscosity.

Background Brucellosis can mimic various multisytem diseases, showing wide clinical polymorphism that frequently leads to misdiagnosis and treatment delay, further increasing the complication rates. In this study, we aimed to examine bone marrow biopsy findings in brucellosis cases presenting with hematologic abnormalities. methods Forty-eight brucellosis cases were prospectively investigated. Complaints and physical examination findings of patients were recorded. Patients＇ complete blood count, routine biochemical tests, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C-reactive protein and serological screenings were performed. Bone marrow biopsy and aspiration was performed in patients with cytopenia, for bone marrow examination and brucella culture, in accordance with the standard procedures from spina iliaca posterior superior region of pelvic bone. Results Of the 48 patients, 35 （73%） were female and 13 （27%） were male. mean age was （34.8±15.4） years （age range： 15-70 years）. Anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia and pancytopenia were found in 39 （81%）, 28 （58%）, 22 （46%） and 10 patients （21%）, respectively. In the examination of bone marrow, hypercellularity was found in 35 （73%） patients. Increased megacariocytic, erythroid and granulocytic series were found in 28 （58%）, 15 （31%） and 5 （10%） patients, respectively. In addition, hemophagocytosis was observed in 15 （31%） patients, granuloma observed in 12 （25%） and increased eosinophil and plasma cells observed in 9 （19%） patients. Conclusion According to the results of our series, hemophagocytosis, microgranuloma formation and hypersplenism may be responsible for hematologic complications of brucellosis.

In recent years,several studies have reported positive outcomes of cell-based therapies despite insufficient engraftment of transplanted *** findings have created a huge interest in the regenerative potential of paracrine factors released from transplanted stem or progenitor ***,this notion has also led scientists to question the role of proteins in the secretome produced by cells,tissues or organisms under certain conditions or at a particular time of regenerative *** studies have revealed that the secretomes derived from different cell types contain paracrine factors that could help to prevent apoptosis and induce proliferation of cells residing within the tissues of affected *** could also facilitate the migration of immune,progenitor and stem cells within the body to the site of *** these different paracrine factors present within the secretome,researchers have given proper consideration to stromal cell-derived factor-1(SDF1)that plays a vital role in tissue-specific migration of the cells needed for *** researchers recognized that SDF1 could facilitate site-specific migration of cells by regulating SDF1-CXCR4 and/or HmGB1-SDF1-CXCR4 pathways which is vital for tissue *** in this study,we have attempted to describe the role of different types of cells within the body in facilitating regeneration while emphasizing the HmGB1-SDF1-CXCR4 pathway that orchestrates the migration of cells to the site where regeneration is needed.

Does the use of recombinant TSH in preparation for I-131 scintigraphy scan affect hearing function?

Objective: The objective of this study was to examine the effect of hypothyroidism on hearing function in patients surgically treated for differentiated thyroid cancer and subsequently experienced hypothyroidism during preparation for follow up I-131 scintigraphy scan by either recombinant human thyroid stimulating hormone(rhTSH) treatment or thyroid hormone withdrawal(THW).methods: A total of 55 patients undergoing I-131 scintigraphy scan following surgeries for differentiated thyroid cancer were included in the study, including 25 patients prepared by administration of recombinant TSH(rhTSH Group) and 30 patients by thyroid hormone withdrawal(THW Group).Results: Air conduction thresholds at 1, 2 and 4 kHz for both ears were higher during hypothyroid period than during euthyroid period for patients in the THW group(p ment whose hormone replacement therapy was withdrawn but not in those receiving rhTSH. It is therefore preferred to use rhTSH when preparing for I-131 scintigraphy scan in patients at risk for hearing loss.

Non-Newtonian is a type of fluid that does not comply with the viscosity under the Law of Newton and is being widely used in industrial *** include those related to chemical industries,cosmetics manufacturing,pharmaceutical field,food processing,as well as oil and gas *** inability of the conventional equations of Navier–Stokes to accurately depict rheological behavior for certain fluids led to an emergence study for non-Newtonian fluids’*** line with this,a mathematical model of forced convective flow on non-Newtonian Eyring Powell fluid under temperature-dependent viscosity(TDV)circumstance is *** fluid model is embedded with the Newtonian heating(NH)boundary condition as a heating circumstance and is assumed to move over a stretching sheet acting *** appropriate similarity variables,the respective model was converted into ordinary differential equations(ODE),which was later solved utilizing the Keller box *** present model is validated by comparing the existing output in literature at certain special limiting cases,where the validation results display a firm *** current outputs for the proposed model are shown in tabular and graphical form for variation of skin friction plus Nusselt number,velocity and temperature distribution,respectively.

BACKGROUND: Emergency services manage trauma patients frequently and falls from height comprise the main cause of emergency service admissions. In this study, we aimed to analyse the demographic characteristics of falls from height and their relationship to the ***: A total of 460 patients, who admitted to the Emergency Department of Inonu University between November 2011 and November 2014 with a history of fall from height, were examined retrospectively. Demographic parameters, fall characteristics and their effect to mortality were evaluated statistically. RESULTS: The study comprised of 292(63.5%) men and 168(36.5%) women patients. The mean age of all patients was 27±24.99 years. Twenty-six(5.6%) patients died and the majority of them were in ≥62 years old group. The highest percentage of falls was at 0–5 years age group(28.3%). People fell mainly from 1.1–4 metres(m) level(46.1%). The causes of falls were ordered as unintentional(92.2%), workplace(8.1%) and suicidal(1.7%). Skin and soft tissue injuries(37.4%) were the main traumatic lesions. CONCLUSION: Age, fall height, fall place, linear skull fracture, subarachnoidal hemorrhage, cervical fracture, thoracic vertebra fracture and trauma scores had statistically significant effect on mortality. The casualties died because of subarachnoid hemorrhage mostly.
