The magnetic properties in the parent compounds are often intimately related to the microscopic mechanism of *** we report the first direct measurements on the electronic structure of a parent compound of the newly discovered iron-based superconductor,BaFe2As2,which provides a foundation for further *** show that the energy of the spin density wave (SDW) in BaFe2As2 is lowered through exotic exchange splitting of the band structure,rather than Fermi surface nesting of itinerant *** clearly demonstrates that a metallic SDW state could be solely induced by interactions of local magnetic moments,resembling the nature of antiferromagnetic order in cuprate parent compounds.

Ghrelin causes interdigestive contractions of the stom- ach in rats. However, it remains unknown whether ghrelin causes interdigestive contractions in the small intestine. Four strain gauge transducers were implanted on the antrum, duodenum, proximal and distal jejunum. After an overnight fast, gastrointestinal （GI） contrac- tions were recorded in freely moving conscious rats. Spontaneous phase m-like contractions were observed at every 13-16 min in rat GI tract. The fasted motor patterns were replaced by the fed motor pattern imme- diately after food intake. Two minutes after finishing the spontaneous phase Ill-like contractions in the antrum, acyl ghrelin （0.8, 2.4 and 8.0 μg/kg per min） was con- tinuously infused for 30 min. Three-five minutes after the starting ghrelin infusion, augmented phase Ⅲ-like contractions were observed at the antrum, duodenum, and jejunum. Ghrelin infusion （0.8, 2.4 and 8.0μg/kg per min） significantly increased motility index of phase Ⅲ-like contractions at the antrum and jejunum in a dose dependent manner, compared to that of saline in- jection. Thus, it is likely that exogenously administered ghrelin causes phase Ⅲ-like contraction at the antrum, which migrates to the duodenum and jejunum. The possible role of 5-HT, in addition to ghrelin, in mediating intestinal migrating motor complex （mmC）, is discussed.

Twisted bilayer graphene heterostructures have recently emerged as a well-established platform for studying strongly correlated phases,such as correlated insulating,superconducting,and topological *** this notion to twisted multilayer graphene heterostructures has exhibited more diverse correlated phases,as some fundamental properties related to symmetry and band structures are correspondingly ***,we report the observations of correlated states in twisted monolayer-trilayer(Bernal stacked)graphene *** phases at integer fillings of the moire unit cell are revealed at a high displacement field and stabilized with a moderate magnetic field on the electron-doping side at a twist angle of 1.45°,where the lift of degeneracy at the integer fillings is observed in the Landau fan *** results demonstrate the effectiveness of moire engineering in an extended structure and provide insights into electric-field tunable correlated phases.

The characteristics of internal tides in the upper layer of the Luzon Strait are investigated on the basis of direct-observation current data recorded on April 25 and September 26, 2008 by an acoustic Doppler current profiler. Spectral analysis and energy estimation show that the diurnals and semidiurnals carry most of the energy of internal tides. Values of the depth-integrated total energy E for the three frequency bands of diurnal, semidiurnal, and high frequencies are 31, 6.9, and 3.4 kJ. m, respectively. Near-inertial peaks are only present in the baroclinic component. The behavior of typical tidal frequencies （i.e., O1, K1, m2, mK3, and m4） and the near-inertial frequency is basically consistent with linear internal wave theory, which predicts E＋（ω）/E_（ω）=（ω-f）2/（ω＋f）2 at depths above 66 m, while not all prominent tidal components coincide well with the relation of the linear internal wave field at other depths. Examinations of depth structures of the baroclinic tides and temporal variations show that the surface tides and internal tides are both of mixed type, having diurnal inequality and spring-neap fortnight periods. The K1 and O1 tides have comparable cross- and along-shelf components, while the m2 and S2 tides propagate toward the shelf in the northern South China Sea as wave beams. The amplitude and phase of internal tides vary with time, but m2 and S2 tides appear to have structures dominated by the first mode, while the K1 and O1 tides resemble second-mode structures. The minor to major axis ratios are close to expected values of flω in the thermocline.

There is an increasing understanding of the roles that microsatellite instability （mSI） plays in Lynch syndrome （by mutations） and sporadic （by mainly epigenetic changes） gastrointestinal （GI） and other cancers. Defi- cient DNA mismatch repair （mmR） results in the strong mutator phenotype known as mSI, which is the hall- mark of cancers arising within Lynch syndrome. mSI is characterized by length alterations within simple repeated sequences called microsatellites. Lynch syn- drome occurs primarily because of germline mutations in one of the mmR genes, mainly mLH1 or mSH2, less frequently mSH6, and rarely PmS2. mSI is also observed in about 15% of sporadic colorectal, gastric, and en-dometrial cancers and in lower frequencies in a minor- ity of other cancers where it is often associated with the hypermethylation of the IVlLH1 gene. miRNAs are small noncoding RNAs that regulate gene expression at the posttranscriptional level and are critical in many biological processes and cellular pathways. There is accumulating evidence to support the notion that the interrelationship between mSI and miRNA plays a key role in the pathogenesis of GI cancer. As a possible new mechanism underlying mSI, overexpression of m/R-IEE has been shown to downregulate expression of mLH1, IVlSH2, and mSH6. Thus, a subset of mSI-positive （mSI＋） cancers without known mmR defects may result from m/R-1E5 overexpression. Target genes of frameshift mutation for mSI are involved in various cellular func- tions, such as DNA repair, cell signaling, and apoptosis. A novel class of target genes that included not only epi- genetic modifier genes, such as HDAC2, but also miRNA processing machinery genes, including TARBP2 and XPO5, were found to be mutated in mSI＋ GI cancers. Thus, a subset of mSI＋ colorectal cancers （CRCs） has been proposed to exhibit a mutated miRNA machinery phenotype. This paper describes a CmOS voltage reference using only resistors and transistors working in weak inversion,without the need for any bipolar *** voltage reference is designed and fabricated by a 0.18μm CmOS *** experimental results show that the proposed voltage reference has a temperature coefficient of 370 ppm/℃at a 0.8 V supply voltage over the temperature range of-35 to 85℃and a 0.1%variation in supply voltage from 0.8 to 3 ***,the supply current is only 1.5μA at 0.8 V supply voltage.

Employing the angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, we study the electronic structure of TaFe1.23Te3, a two-leg spin ladder compound with a novel antiferromagnetic ground state. Quasi-two-dimensional （2D） Fermi surface is observed, with sizable inter-ladder hopping. moreover, instead of observing an energy gap at the Fermi surface in the antiferromagnetic state, we observe the shifts of various bands. Combining these observations with density-functional-theory calculations, we propose that the large scale reconstruction of the electronic structure, caused by the interactions between the coexisting itinerant electrons and local moments, is most likely the driving force of the magnetic transition. Thus TaFe1.23Te3 serves as a simpler platform that contains similar ingredients to the parent compounds of iron-based superconductors.
