To assess the effect of strain and strain rate on texture evolution of an extruded mg–6Al–3Zn alloy,compression tests were carried *** were prepared in the extrusion direction(ED)and normal direction(ND).The compression tests were performed at 250℃ and with different strain rates of 0.01 sec−1 and 1 sec−1 and different *** observation and texture investigation show that at early stages of deformation,extension twins lead to the development of strong basal texture intensity along rolling direction(RD)in ED samples and contraction twins result in texture evolution along transverse direction(TD)in ND ***,microstructural investigation at high strains reveals that dynamic recrystallization occurs in both samples and consequently the basal texture intensity has been decreased.

Peripheral retinal non-perfusion and treatment response in branch retinal vein occlusion

AIm： To evaluate the association between the size of peripheral retinal non-perfusion and the number of intravitreal ranibizumab injections in patients with treatment-naive branch retinal vein occlusion （BRVO） and macular edema. mETHODS： A total of 53 patients with treatment-naive BRVO and macular edema were included. Each patient underwent a full ophthalmologic examination including optical coherence tomography （OCT） imaging and ultra wide-field fluorescein angiography （UWFA）. monthly intravitreal ranibizumab injections were applied according to the recommendations of the German Ophthalmological Society. Two independent, masked graders quantified the areas of peripheral retinal non-perfusion. RESULTS： Intravitreal injections improved bestcorrected visual acuity （BCVA） significantly from 22.23± 16.33 Early Treatment of Diabetic Retinopathy Study （ETDRS） letters to 36.23 ±15.19 letters （P〈0.001）, and mean central subfield thickness significantly reduced from 387±115 pm to 321±115 μm （P=0.01）. mean number of intravitreal ranibizumab injections was 3.61±1.56. The size of retinal non-perfusion correlated significantly with the number of intravitreal ranibizumab injections （R= 0.724, P〈0.001）. CONCLUSION： Peripheral retinal non-perfusion in patients with BRVO associates significantly with intravitreal ranibizumab injections in patients with BRVO and macular edema.

Simulation and measurement of the resonant Schottky pickup

A resonant Schottky pickup with high sensitivity, built by GSI, will be used for nuclear mass and lifetime measurement at CSRe. The basic concepts of Schottky noise signals, a brief introduction of the geometry of the detector, the transient response of the detector, and mAFIA simulated and perturbation measured results of characteristics are presented in this paper. The resonant frequency of the pickup is about 243 mHz and can be slightly changed at a range of 3 mHz. The unloaded quality factor is about 1072 and the shunt impedance is 76 kΩ. The measured results of the characteristics are in agreement with the mAFIA simulations.

Precision mass measurements of neutron-deficient 152Sm projectile fragments were conducted in 2005 at theFRS-ESR facility at GSI Helmholtz centre[1, 2], employing the time-resolved Schottky mass Spectrometry[3]. A newmass evaluation method has been developed in the data analysis. The systematic error in the mass determinationwas significantly reduced with the new method[4].Exotic nuclei, produced by projectile fragmentation of a 615 AmeV 152Sm primary beam in a 4.009 g/cm2beryllium target, were transmitted and B-separated by the fragment separator FRS and then injected and storedin the experimental storage ring ESR. In ESR the electron-cooling process was continuously applied to the storedions. To first order approximation, the revolution-frequencies (f) of the stored ions in the ESR are related to theirvelocities (v) and mass-to-charge ratios (m=q) of the ions in rest frame:
