This research was focused on the valorisation of glycerol,exploring the feasibility of an efficient route for oxygenated additives production based on its etherification with bio-butanol.A home-made BEA zeolite sample with a tuneable acidity has been proposed as the catalytic system,being tested in a stirred reactor under different etherification *** a reaction temperature as high as 200℃resulted to be beneficial in terms of glycerol conversion(-90%),only by operating at milder conditions the product selectivity to glycerol-ethers can be better controlled,in order to obtain a bio-fuel complying with the requirements for mixing with fossil diesel or biodiesel,without any need of purification from large amount of by-products.A comprehensive identification of all the compounds formed during the reaction was performed by a GC-ms analysis,on the basis of the complex network of consecutive and parallel reaction paths leading not only to the desired ethers,but also to many side products not detected in similar acid-catalyzed reactions in liquid phase and not available in the most used mass-spectra libraries.

Effects of wall properties and slip condition on the peristaltic flow of an incompressible pseudoplastic fluid in a curved channel are studied. series solution of the governing problem is obtained after applying long wavelength and low Reynolds number approximations. The results are validated with the numerical solutions through the built-in routine for solving nonlinear boundary value problems via software mathematica. The variations of different parameters on axial velocity are carefully analyzed. Behaviors of embedding parameters on the dimensionless stream function are also discussed. It is noted that the axial velocity and size of trapped bolus increases with an increase in slip parameter. It is also observed that the profiles of axial velocity are not symmetric about the central line of the curved channel which is different from the case of planar channel.

The seismic sequence stratigraphic analysis revealed four depositional sequences(Ds-1,Ds-2,Ds-3 and Ds-4).The accompanying systems tracts were interpreted and mapped in the study area based on the log motifs of the reference well and the spatial distribution of the recognized constrained surfaces:maximum flooding surfaces(mFss),sequence boundaries(sBs)and transgressive surfaces(Tss)on the seismic *** systems in the study area comprise lowstand systems tracts(LsTs),transgressive systems tracts(TsTs)and highstand systems tracts(HsTs).The LsTs are represented by coeval facies dominated by deposition basinward of the shelf-edge during maximum regression and are characterized by shallow-water deposition from gravity flows and/or traction processes within the shelf-edge or canyon-head *** sediments associated with lowstand systems tracts recognized in the study area are the fluvial channel sands and slope fans(sF).The transgressive sand units were interpreted as shoreface sands deposited in the shelf region during rising sea *** systems tracts are characterized by intervals of coarsening and shallowing upwards,with both fluvial and deltaic sands prograding laterally into neritic *** the study area,the units are very *** highstand and lowstand system tracts exhibit blocky log patterns and are associated with the reservoirs while the transgressive system tracts serve as seals to the *** environment of sediments deposition in this area is delta plain,shelf,slope to toe of slope.

Choledochal cysts(CCs)are rare bile duct dilatations,intra-and/or extrahepatic,and have higher prevalence in the Asian population compared to Western *** of the current literature on CC disease originates from Asia where these entities are most *** are thought to arise from an anomalous pancreaticobiliary junction,which are congenital anomalies between pancreatic and bile *** similarities in presentation between Eastern and Western patients exist such as female predominance,however,contemporary studies suggest that Asian patients may be more symptomatic on *** though CC disease presents with an increased malignant risk reported to be more than 10%after the second decade of life in Asian patients,this risk may be overstated in Western *** this difference in cancer risk,management guidelines for all patients with CC are based predominantly on observations reported from Asia where it is recommended that all CCs should be excised out of concern for the presence or development of biliary tract cancer.

The metallic phase of molybdenum disulfide(m-mos2)and semiconductor phase of molybdenum disulfide(s-mos2)was synthesized by hydrothermal method,using cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB)as a *** structural and elemental composition confirmed the formation of m-mos2 and *** the morphological analysis layered nanosheets with an inter-layered distance of 0.62 nm for m-mos2 and 0.95 nm for s-mos2 was ***-transform infrared(FT-IR)spectral analysis was used to investigate the existence of CTAB functional *** peak at 885 cm-1 attributed to the CH3 bond which confirmed the presence of CTAB in the *** anodic and cathodic peak separation(Epp)values of the counter electrode(CE)has showed at 468.28 mV(m-mos2)and 540.87 mV(s-mos2).The m-mos2 thin film shows higher catalytic activity when compared to s-mos2 due to more active sites and electronic *** power conversion efficiency of m-mos2 CE based device exhibits higher efficiency compared to s-mos2 CE based device.

Adsorption isotherm mechanism of amino organic compounds as mild steel corrosion inhibitors by electrochemical measurement method

The inhibition ability of 4-amino-5-phenyl-4H-1, 2, 4-trizole-3-thiol (APTT), ethylenediaminetetra-acetic acid (EDTA) and thiourea (TU) for mild steel corrosion in 1.0 mol/L HCl solution at 30 ℃ was investigated. Tafel polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIs) were used to investigate the influence of these organic compounds as corrosion inhibitors of mild steel in 1.0 mol/L HCl solution at 30 ℃. The inhibition mechanism was discussed in terms of Langmuir isotherm model. Results obtained from Tafel polarization and impedance measurements are in a good agreement. The inhibition efficiency increases with the increase of the inhibitor concentration. The adsorption of the inhibitors on the mild steel surface follows Langmuir adsorption isotherm and the free energy of adsorption △Gads indicates that the adsorption of APTT, EDTA, and TU molecules is a spontaneous process and a typical chemisorption.

Precipitation nowcasting is of great significance for severe convective weather *** echo extrapolation is a commonly used precipitation nowcasting ***,the traditional radar echo extrapolation methods are encountered with the dilemma of low prediction accuracy and extrapolation *** reason is that those methods cannot retain important long-term information and fail to capture short-term motion information from the long-range data *** order to solve the above problems,we select the spatiotemporal long short-term memory(sT-LsTm)as the recurrent unit of the model and integrate the 3D convolution operation in it to strengthen the model’s ability to capture short-term motion information which plays a vital role in the prediction of radar echo motion *** the purpose of enhancing the model’s ability to retain long-term important information,we also introduce the channel attention mechanism to achieve this *** the experiment,the training and testing datasets are constructed using radar data of shanghai,we compare our model with three benchmark models under the reflectance thresholds of 15 and *** results demonstrate that the proposed model outperforms the three benchmark models in radar echo extrapolation task,which obtains a higher accuracy rate and improves the clarity of the extrapolated image.

multiferroics exhibit unique combination of ferroic properties,*** instance,in BiFeO3,magnetic and electric properties *** this work,BiFeO3 and sr-doped BiFeO3 samples with general formula,Bi1-x srx FeO3(x=0.00,0.05,0.10,0.20,and 0.30) were synthesized by sol-gel auto-combustion technique,in order to investigate these ferroic *** samples were confrmed to have perovskite type rhombohedral structure,characteristic of BiFeO3.A dilute phase of Bi2Fe4O9was also found in all the sr-doped *** micrographs of the palletized samples revealed that minutely doped sr might not have any effect on the morphology of the *** dependent dielectric measurements were carried out at room temperature for all the samples from 100 Hz to 1 *** dielectric constant of un-doped sample at low frequency was 52 which decreased with increasing sr *** enhancement of magnetic properties was observed with increasing the sr *** BiFeO3 material was observed to have the least value of remanent *** the sr2+ tions were doped in BiFeO3,its magnetization and remanence were increased to 0.867 emu/g and 0.175 emu/g,respectively,at x=0.30.
