随着过去数十年微创技术、围手术期康复干预和集中化医疗制度的逐步应用,胃癌术后30 d病死率和并发症发生率有了显著改善。然而,当前阶段的胃癌术后短期预后依然不容乐观,可能对胃癌手术治疗的疗效产生严重的负面影响,仍有很大的改善空间。高质量的临床研究是分析治疗结果和评估新治疗策略的重要工具。因此,严谨的胃癌患者信息登记作为高质量外科研究的基础应受到足够重视。在过去的11年里,荷兰上消化道癌症审计(DUCA)数据库在上消化道肿瘤患者的数据登记和维护方面拥有丰富的经验,它在数据登记、数据质量控制、数据申请和使用以及数据安全等方面采取的有效措施,使得该数据库中患者数据的质量保持在较高水平。这些数据已被广泛用于医疗质量监测和科学研究,对改善上消化道癌症患者的术后短期预后产生了非常积极的影响。DUCA的工作可能对建立基于人群的临床数据库具有一定的参考价值。

Longiflorum and Asiatic lilies of the genus Lilium of the family Liliaceae are two important groups of modem lily cultivars. One of the main trends of lily breeding is to realize introgression between these groups. With cut style pollination and embryo rescue, distant hybrids between the two groups have been obtained. However, the FI hybrids are highly sterile or some of them could produce a small number of 2n gametes, and their BC1 progenies are usually triploids. Dutch lily breeders have selected many cultivars from these BC1 progenies based on their variation. It is presumably suggested that such variation could be caused by intergenomic recombination and abnormal meiosis during gamete formation in F1 hybrids of Longiflorum × Asiatic （LA） hybrids in Lilium. Therefore, the meiotic process of ten F1 LA hybrids was cytologically investigated using genomic in situ hybridization and traditional cytological methods in the present research. The results showed that： at metaphase I, the homoeologous chromosome pairing among different F1 hybrids ranged from 2.0 to 11.4 bivalents formed by homoeologous chromosomes per pollen mother cell （PmC）, and very few multivalents, and even very few bivalents were formed by two chromosomes within one genome rather than homoeologous chromosomes in some PmCs; at anaphase I, all biva- lents were disjoined and most univalents were divided. Both the disjoined bivalents （half-bivalents） and the divided univalents （sister chromatids） moved to the opposite poles, and then formed two groups of chromosomes; because the two resulting half-bivalents retained their axes in the cell undisturbed, many crossover types, including single crossovers, three strand double crossovers, four strand double crossovers, four strand triple crossovers, and four strand multiple crossovers between the non-sister chromatids in the tetrads of bivalents, were clearly inferred by analyzing the breakpoints on the disjoined bivalents. microbial starch-binding domains (SBD) and granule-bound starch synthase I (GBSSI) are proteins which are accumulated in potato starch granules. The efficiency of SBD and GBSSI for targeting active luciferase reporter proteins to granules during starch biosynthesis was compared. GBSSI or SBD sequences were fused to the N- or C-terminus of the luciferase (LUC) gene, via an artificial Pro-Thr encoding linker sequence. The genes were introduced into an amylose-free (amf) potato mutant. It appeared that SBD was superior to GBSSI as a targeting sequence, mainly because the luciferase retained higher activity in the SBD-containing fusion proteins than in the GBSSI-containing ones.

We present a new approach to model selection and Bayes factor determination,based on Laplaceexpansions(as in BIC),which we call Prior-based Bayes Information Criterion(PBIC).In thisapproach,the Laplace expansion is only done with the likelihood function,and then a suitableprior distribution is chosen to allow exact computation of the(approximate)marginal likelihoodarising from the Laplace approximation and the *** result is a closed-form expression similar to BIC,but now involves a term arising from the prior distribution(which BIC ignores)andalso incorporates the idea that different parameters can have different effective sample sizes(whereas BIC only allows one overall sample size n).We also consider a modification of PBIC whichis more favourable to complex models.

In this paper,we analyze thin-shell wormholes from two identical copies of charged static cylindrically symmetric spacetimes using visser’s‘cut and paste’approach under the influence of f(r,T)gravity Harko,Lobo,Nojiri,and Odintsov(2011,***.D 84,024020).In this scenario,the modified Chaplygin gas supports the exotic matter in the shell which allows,one to examine the dynamics of constructed *** utilize the junction condition to connect the interior and exterior geometries across the hypersurface and calculate different components of the Lanczos equation recently computed by roza in rosa(2021,***.D 103,104069).We analyze the stability of the thin-shell wormhole models under linear perturbations while keeping the cylindrical symmetry and also examine the influence of charge on their *** positive quantity of the second derivative of potential at the throat radius might be interpreted as the stability *** find both unstable and stable wormhole solutions for different parameters included in the equation of state and specific forms of considered gravity and illustrate them theoretically as well as *** examine the impact of electric charge on the stability region of a constructed wormhole,which suggests that a wormhole model with a charge may exhibit more stable behavior compared to an uncharged system.

Blood Volume Status in Patients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: relation to Complaints

Four studies have compared a possible decrease in circulating blood volume in myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (mE/CFS) patients when compared to a healthy population. A more recent study has proven a correlation between rBC volume and OI in chronic OI patients without being diagnosed mE/CFS. The aim of the present study was to relate measured blood, rBC and plasma volumes (absolute and percent normalized) with the orthostatic intolerance complaints in mE/CFS patients. In the included 11 female mE/CFS patients, percentage decrease in normalized blood, rBC and plasma volume was similar for all three components: 83% ±12%, 83% ±12% and 83% ±11%, respectively. In patients with a clinical suspicion of OI (n = 7) all 3 volume components were significantly lower compared to patients without clinical suspicion of OI (n = 4). The difference percentage to normalized Blood volume was 77(7) vs 94(10) (p-value rence percentage to normalized rBC volume was 76(7) vs 96(10) (p-value rence percentage to normalized plasma volume was 77(7) vs 93(10) (p-value resent versus absent. Plasma volumes were plotted against rBC volumes: the relation found was rBC volume = 0.99* Plasma volume + 1.55;p r = 0.90. In line with literature data, this pilot study shows that total blood volume and its components: rBC and plasma volume may be reduced in mE/CFS patients, especially in the presence of a clinical suspicion of OI.

AIm: To analyze,retrospectively in a population-based study,the management and survival of patients with recurrent rectal cancer initially treated with a macroscopically radical resection obtained with total mesorectal excision (TmE). mETHODS: All rectal carcinomas diagnosed during 1998 to 2000 and initially treated with a macroscopically radical resection (632 patients) were selected from the Amsterdam Cancer registry. For patients with recurrent disease,information on treatment of the recurrence was collected from the medical records. rESULTS: Local recurrence with or without clinically apparent distant dissemination occurred in 62 patients (10%). Thirty-two patients had an isolated local recurrence. Ten of these 32 patients (31%) underwent radical re-resection and experienced the highest survival (three quarters survived for at least 3 years). Eight patients (25%) underwent non-radical surgery (median survival 24 mo),seven patients (22%) were treated with radio-and/or chemotherapy without surgery (median survival 15 mo) and seven patients (22%) only received best supportive care (median survival 5 mo). Distant dissemination occurred in 124 patients (20%) of whom 30 patients also had a local recurrence. The majority (54%) of these patients were treated with radio-and/or chemotherapy without surgery (median survival 15 mo). Twenty-seven percent of these patients only received best supportive care (median survival 6 mo),while 16% underwent surgery for their recurrence. Survival was best in the latter group (median survival 32 mo). CONCLUSION: Although treatment options and survival are limited in case of recurrent rectal cancer after radical local resection obtained with TmE,patients can benefit from additional treatment,especially if a radical resection is feasible.

Cultivated potato is a clonally propagated autotetraploid species with a highly heterogeneous *** assemblies of six cultivars including two chromosome-scale phased genome assemblies revealed extensive allelic diversity,including altered coding and transcript sequences,preferential allele expression,and structural variation that collectively result in a highly complex transcriptome and predicted proteome,which are distributed across the homologous *** species contribute to the extensive allelic diversity in tetraploid cultivars,demonstrating ancestral introgressions predating modern breeding *** a clonally propagated autotetraploid that undergoes limited meiosis,dysfunctional and deleterious alleles are not purged in tetraploid *** a quarter of the loci bore mutations are predicted to have a high negative impact on protein function,complicating breeder’s efforts to reduce genetic *** StCDF1 locus controls maturity,and analysis of six tetraploid genomes revealed that 12 allelic variants of StCDF1 are correlated with maturity in a dosage-dependent *** of the complexity of the tetraploid potato genome with its rampant structural variation and embedded deleterious and dysfunctional alleles will be key not only to implementing precision breeding of tetraploid cultivars but also to the construction of homozygous,diploid potato germplasm containing favorable alleles to capitalize on heterosis in F1 hybrids.
